Seriously Awesome Dragon Oracle Series #1-9

Closing the book she was reading while riding the bus to her destination, Davie realized she was alone! She was the only passenger. She tried to get the driver’s attention – but there was no driver either! The bus moved along, but she wasn’t sure how. Then something thumped on the road ahead, the bus sped up, and the crash washed flames over her until she flew through a window and crashed into the street! And she was on the floor in her sister’s room at home. She reached for her sister’s hand to find her pulse and make sure she was okay. But at her touch, the bed burst into flames! Then something with clawed feet stepped out of the flames and stood in front of her. As the pointed teeth came at her, she was again swallowed up in the fire, then bolted upright in her room, her pajamas soaked in sweat. She got up and made breakfast for her older sister, Mickey. Then she headed for work… on the bus.

Work at the Beanery as a barista was hectic but moving along on autopilot helps. But three men walked in. When she saw the third man, reality seemed to shift around him and she felt both drawn to him and feeling she should run away as far as possible. She felt danger and accidentally knocked a glass pitcher, shattering glass all over the floor. Her co-worker sent her to the back room for a little break, so she avoided the three men.

In the break room, Davie was shocked when two co-workers who wouldn’t have actually been there were talking about Secret Santa – but it was June! This conversation had occurred last Christmas based on the gift Presley was describing that he had gotten for Davie. But this wasn’t a “memory” – Davie hadn’t been in the room then. She was having a vision! Had she forgotten to take her medicine this morning? Scrambling in her purse, she pulled out her emergency supply of pills and swallowed them dry. But the visions continued. She hid out in the bathroom, then another woman came in and her lipstick rolled on the floor. Davie washed it for her and, when she handed it to her and their finger touched, another vision started, showing the woman being struck by a man. The woman left, but when Davie turned to the mirror, she saw the woman’s image instead and the image kept changing until the woman was dead. That man would kill her one day soon. When would her antipsychotics kick in today? But could she save the young woman? Warn her? But the man was there too and she made it worse when she accused him since he thought the woman had told her something. He tried to knock Davie over, but instead he bounced off. He tried to punch her and she caught his fist in her hand. She knew right away there were 3 warrants for his arrest, and told him many other things about him she shouldn’t have known. He was totally freaked out and ran. And his girlfriend was furious with her, then cried as Davie held her and told her specific details of the wonderful future that was coming for her! For the first time, the woman felt hope.

This book gets better and better with every turn of the page. Davie has abilities and she will soon learn the world is full of mythical creatures, shape-shifting dragons, dwarves, and mystical oracles. And she may be pulled into a supernatural war that could destroy the world. And the best thing we can take away from this story is that we have the whole set right here to see how it ends – or whether she can save it!

Very very involved and exciting

I read and I read and I read until I thought there was no end. There was and it was fantastic. Anyone who wants to sit back and take a trip on the wild side and just eject from this world for a while will totally love this series. There is no foul language and no sex but there is a world's wide romance. I've read lots of fantasies and even wrote one but this series was so entertaining and deep. The author really put some thought into this and if they didn't, so what, we'd never know it. There is layer after layer of emotions, thoughts, plots and worlds in this series. Did I tell ya it's a good read? Oh, sorry I guess I should have at the start but, yes, you will enjoy this whole series. Actually I don't know of any books by this author that hasnt been good.

Ups and downs

This series was really a good read! All the ups of excitement, and the downs of captures, losing battles and then back up again when overcoming obstacles. Read it as quickly as I could mainly because I couldn't sleep until I knew what had happened in the next book.
Lots of grand escapes, and new adventures that all tied together.
Would really advise anyone to read this series..it was exceptional.

Good

This story whizzed by. And then it ended. And the ending was excellent. Dragons and oracles and war. All the feels. The romance was truly sweet. Very little angst when it came to the romance. But the war threw a kink in the emotional roller coaster. But in the end, it all worked out. Great story

Loved this book. I was so glad I got the full set when I started reading this. I got so involved with Davie, the main character. Being an oracle was something she never knew she was. Meeting dragons and falling for one was a surprise for her too. Lots of action and magic. Intrigue and friendship. Just a delightful series that is making me run out and read all of Jada Fisher's books.

I have to give this set a 5 star rating because it is done so well for a young adult urban fantasy series. I usually have difficulty sticking with a story in this specific genre, but this one had such likable characters. I felt I had to stick with them all to the end, and I had fun reading the whole set. Thank you!

I read all nine books but I was hoping I would get credit for them for my reading challenge..
But I will say these books kept you on your toes thru the series…If Davies wasn’t fighting dragons she was falling in love with the handsome dragon prince Bronn then going thru one realm or another looking for all the seers…

Nicely done.

Very original. A very hard start but worth getting to the end. A bit too much tossing of the cookies though, would have enjoyed it more if people did not get sick on every other page.

Read

This was a great storyline, but be aware that it is mostly struggling and fighting through to the next thing before finally you get the happiness.
