Powered armor and a bounty job made personal. What can go wrong? As a feared and respected bounty hunter, Mackenzie Flores enjoys the finer things in a dependable rifle, a clean glass of dirty whiskey, and a reputation that leaves her flush with contracts and the freedom to pick and choose her jobs. At least until the Supremacy blows up everything she owns and takes her girlfriend away. To rescue the woman she loves, all Mackenzie has to do is take down three crime lords, one planet of super soldiers, and a human trafficking base on the moon. Fortunately, she has powered armor and smart bullets. Unfortunately, they’ve all gone missing. The Mandalorian meets Warrior Princess in this military sci-fi adventure you won't want to miss.
There are many wonderfully serious military scifi and cyberpunk books out there, but this is not one of them!
Supremacy's Bounty does not take itself too seriously, spending more time on the adventure and 'grimsnark' than on brooding anti-heroes and long considerations of philosophy and the nature of humanity. Don't get me wrong, there are still dark and dangerous scenes that will make you wince - the best way to describe it is the book equivalent of an excellent 80's action movie. It hits the ground running and does not stop...until the last page, obviously.
This story follows different heroes than book one and the new heroes are maybe more likable. Follow a bounty hunter mackenzine on a spy mystery with twist and turns and a heartfelt small side story of love that is done right.
The first book was good, the second... fantastic! A western I’m steroids in space. The characters are very well thought out and just a blast to follow. Deadpool would be at ease in this book.
