Dating & Dragons #2

A Wicked Encounter

Rate this book
Enjoy this steamy comedic series about tabletop gamers in love by gamemaster & geeky romance author Ivy Collins...

What happens at TowerCon stays at TowerCon.

Luke West is just my flavor of blond, delicious, lawful evil bad boy. Or at least, that’s the character he plays. I’ve got no idea what he’s like in real life, but that doesn’t matter—we’re both at a local gaming convention and in the mood for a one-night stand.

Or at least, that’s what I thought was going on.

Unfortunately, when I wake up the next morning, I’ve got a bad hangover and a fuzzy recollection of crying all over our wicked, evil cleric.

I’m mortified—and worse, unsatisfied. But at least I’m positive I’ll never see the guy again outside of the convention circuit.

I figure the embarrassed feeling is mutual—but Luke’s got other plans. He tracks me down and proposes a date, gamer-style: he’s headed to a dark, edgy live-action roleplaying game for a whole weekend, and I’m invited. Specifically, he says, for the purposes of being seduced.

I’m starting to suspect that Luke West isn’t actually a wicked, awful man. But maybe I like him when he’s being naughty and when he’s being nice.

I’ve got all of this weekend to decide.

A Wicked Encounter is the second novel in the Dating & Dragons romance series, though all of the novels can be read as standalones. This spicy contemporary romance is perfect for gamers who play Dungeons & Dragons, and it has a guaranteed happy ending. The story is novella-length, for a quick afternoon read.

I read Ivy Collins ''Dating & Dragons'' a few months ago and started A Wicked Encounter last night. I read it in a few hours and it was just so cute and perfect. I love how Ivy writes her characters and the nerdy setting is so my thing. These books are precious and fun and I highly recommend them for a fun, cute read.

I've read so many 'nerd' themed books in my life but this one and Dating & Dragons has quickly become my new favorites. So many 'nerd' books make it just painfully bad. Ivy's writing makes the characters feel /real/ and I appreciate that so much as someone whose progressively gotten nerdier over her life. I love that this book really dived into the LARP style life since that's always so much fun and this was hot and adorable, so, much like my review for Dating & Dragons, thank you for this!

Please read these books, they are a blast!

This is book 2 of the series but each book can be read as a stand alone.

Good story line, nice characters, engaging dialogue and easy to visualize descriptions to detail. As a DND Nerd, this book was really entertaining.

I didn't like this one as much as the first book, but it was fun! I just wish it was longer!!! Can't wait to read the next one.
