When it rains in New Orleans, it pours. When Jace discovers that the human trafficker his director put away escaped from jail at the same time that her daughter is found missing, it's time for him and the team to set things right. But as Jace follows the clues, it becomes clear that the two crimes are intertwined, and worse, if he has any chance of rescuing the missing girl, he'll have to call an old friend for help.
Matt Lincoln has lived his entire life on the coast and he wouldn't have it any other way. A lifelong fan of Travis McGee, Magnum PI, and just about anyone who knows their way around a boat and a good cigar, Matt now lives where the sand meets the surf with his beautiful wife, a son who reminds him way too much of himself at that age, and an Irish Setter who he can never seem to tire out. Life is good.
Enjoyed the well fleshed out characters. The plot kept the read on edge just like mysteries are supposed to do. Really like the writing style of this author too. The intrigue on the water was great, even though I know almost nothing about yachts and their operation. Great explanations of what was happening on board these ships. You won’t be sorry for picking up this book.
Yet another great story suffering from a serious lack of proofreading. I still think the short conversation about gender neutral pronouns should come at the same time as Cal's first appearance in each book. Looking forward to reading Frame Job
Great read a always. I have no trouble keeping up with the characters, even Cal!! Which you had already explained in the previous book.. Write faster!!
