Check out books 1-3 of the pulse pounding Coastal Fury series!
Back in his day, Ethan Marston was the best of the best when it came to taking down the worst of the worst in Miami. Now though? Well, he's just a humble bar owner with a story to tell, a girl to save, and a few drinks to make... or is he?
Book 1: Rolling Thunder Book 2: Pride of Barbados Book 3: Into the Blue
Matt Lincoln has lived his entire life on the coast and he wouldn't have it any other way. A lifelong fan of Travis McGee, Magnum PI, and just about anyone who knows their way around a boat and a good cigar, Matt now lives where the sand meets the surf with his beautiful wife, a son who reminds him way too much of himself at that age, and an Irish Setter who he can never seem to tire out. Life is good.
I just couldn't do it. I made it through the first book and my review for that one was 3 stars and my comment was that it was "simplistic and lacking in reality ". The second book probably isn't worse but I can't seem to force myself to finish it. Maybe I'll come back to it after I read something else.
Oh loved this. Ex SEALS Marston and Holms are agents of an international crime unit (MBLIS)working off Miami. When eco-photographer Tessa finds a body in cave, the special agents take over and slowly discover what's behind it. Agent Marston's parallel private search for pirate treasure makes this even more interesting. Second books has Special Agents Marston and Holms fighting against the Trader, who kidnaps girls and young women to train them as sex slaves. And Marston also makes progress in his search for the lost treasure. Number three gets Tessa and Marston back when Tessa is assigned to document MBLIS' work against crime and thus also protecting the environment- and lands her and the agents in the middle of a search after someone disposing of nuclear waste in the middle of a tourist attractin in the ocean. This series reminded me a bit of Starsky and Hutch, or Miami Vice, with that nothing-can-hurt-me vibes, some flippancy (I hope that is a word?), and enough action to keep a reader turning the pages. Very likeable protagonists, good plots and a brilliant narration style make these an absolute joy to read. I will definitely get more of this series!
I was able to read the first three books as a set and couldn't wait after I finished one to start the next. Each is a stand alone story, but builds on the previous book in a seamless way. Good ex military guys with great getting the bad guys at the end of each book. Lots of breathtaking action without too much "blood and guts" details. Now on to the next story!
Light, fast-paced and fun. Interesting characters and well described scenes with a completely believable series of plots. Enjoyable series for a quick read while relaxing on a beach to provide the sounds and smells suitable for the mental images conjured up.
Well written, absorbing stories involving strong likable characters in a team of special agents. Set along the Miami and eastern, seaboard includes some Island hopping. The modern crimes, involve lots of shot outs and mayhem. Loved the intermingling with touches of pirates of old and environmental issues. Would recommend
Wow !! @A First Read for me from this Author and I cant wait to Read his other Books ! The Characters are Amazing and You feel as of You have known them forever ! The descriptions of All their Travels bring the Places to Life ,!! These Books are a Must Read ,!!!
CoasItal Fury Box set (1-3) This series got me completely enthralled from the very start, and kept my interest to the end of the boxset. I eagerly await further episodes which I will most certainly obtain.
Matt Lincoln has the ability to bring the reader into his story. Setting the scene as a "story telling" instead of just a story is unique. The first three books have me hooked. Thrilling, suspense, heart stopping moments, great writing......a MUST READ!!!
Better than LeeChild and more fun than Clive Cussler, I was absolutely thrilled with all 3 books, I just wish there were more deals on the next books in the series . Thank you for making these available.
While I am pretty sure no federal agency would allow those kinds of things go on in the real world, but I suggest that author kind of had his tongue in cheek. Otherwise a fast, strong pace and good read.
Great stories that lead from one adventure to another. Each book leads you into the next and the stories, although they all stand on their own form one long adventure. Looking forward to Book 4
While there are inconsistencies in some of the technical parts of the stories, I would say from the eyes of a retired military intel guy, that the series is a real shit kicker.
I loved this three book series and read them all in less than a week! Hard to put down with such likable characters. Filled with action, travel, suspense and mystery. Cannot wait to read more by this talented author!
The Coastal Fury Box set (1-3) leaves you eager to read on!
These three books are not only entertaining but full of twists and turns that keep you wanting more! Can't wait to read Matt's next Coastal Fury episode!
Good books written similarly to Clive Cussler…I look forward to reading more. Great action sequences and good character development make for an easy choice for entertainment.
This was a fantastic series to read. I was in the edge of my seat with each story. The mysteries were so intense I found myself holding my breath. So delightful I am sorry I am finished. Jump in and enjoy!!
I loved the setting telling stories in a bar! And what stories they were! Definitely a guy story but i loved it. Men will go for this book but I'm a woman and loved it too! Lots of action and adventure. READ it you will love it!!!
These took me to a world I know little about, diving. A full blooded tale together with some history of the Caribbean. Excellent! I must now go and track down some more of Matt Lincoln's books......
Plot flows like he is talking to you, as a new owner of a bar. The characters that one meets along the way in these plots are well described and interesting. Well done
I enjoyed these three books. Matt Lincoln could become a favorite author for me. The plot(s) were great and there were no surprise endings pulled out of a top hat from nowhere. thank you Matt.
This is a book that is hard to put down as it goes from one action scene to the next. The author has made the link from one book to the next in the series.
