She was always mine but neither of us knew it cause we hadn't met. But once we do. Once her presence is known I have no intentions of letting her go. Even when she pulls away with some half a** excuse as to why we shouldn't be together. I'm not backing down. Everett Cooper isn't a man who gives up easily but Etta Mills will test his resolve and he will love every minute of it. What a great read! A Beautiful, romantic story. Everett is strong and thoughtful. Etta is so very likeable. The story was sweet and I liked how the “villains” were dealt with - R Hanscombe Beta Reader.

The book felt all over the place. There was no building of this relationship. They don’t know each over. For instance it’s terrible that she learned in the last few pages that he is adopted whilst she told him about her infertility a while back. He should have said something then. There are also a lot of unanswered questions. What age is he by the way? We know superficial things about her but nothing about her family, her upbringing. Why does her ex husband hate Hattie? Etta apparently lost everything and now is building a new business. What is it exactly ? As an aside. I don’t understand why Everett basically paid Janice off, even more so if she hated his house. The Coopers are giving everything to charity. First of all why tell Janice and secondly why did they make that decision ?
I liked the story, and even started to like the characters by the end of the book. However I felt like the story just skimmed the surface. Like something you would retell to friends/family about how you and your partner got together, not the actual story. The kiss scenes were all that there was erotically, and they were also short and stilted. I have to say I was disappointed, not because the book was bad, but because there wasn’t enough of it.
I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is a short love story between Etta and Everett. These two meet by chance and their attraction is instant. Fate plans to keep them together. Etta has her reservations but he will not give up until they have a happy future as a family
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Etta and Everett have a chance meeting at a convenience store and continue to meet afterwards. The universe keeps placing them together. Etta has a secret that she feels makes her not good enough for the slightly younger Everett. It is up to him to show her that she is wrong. I loved his family....overbearing mother and all.
This is a short ,fast paced story with strong characters in Etta and Everett. She brings a single mom and her sweet daughter meeting Everett an emotionally strong man and weaves an entertaining romance. I enjoyed reading their story.

This was a great quick read with an unexpected happily ever after! This story delivers a thoughtful message regarding strength of relationships regardless if by blood or love. It was also a true testament to knowing when some relationships should be cut to have a meaningful happy life!💞
A likable story with likable characters all around, with the exception of Henry and Janice. I think to much time was wasted at the convenience store at the beginning that could have gone toward meaningful conversations and time spent between Everett and Etta building their bond.
Everett was a bold man! He needed to be that way to get Ella to move past the hurt she carried from her failed relationships! Her lonely days are over and her life will now be as a song! She has a true love now! At Last!
Just when good people think life has given up on them, fate intervenes to bring the light they need. Sweetly romantic when a humble man knows what he wants and deserves and goes after it. Story was somewhat predictable, but enjoyable.
Awesome book! Loved the chemistry between Everett and Eta. The storyline was believable and the characters made you want to read this book. I would recommend this book you will truly enjoy it.
"Fate had decreed it"!! The minute he saw her, he wanted her, and she was attracted to him as well. And Fate just kept on placing them at the same place, and what's destined to be will be. Meet Everett and Etta.
I loved how the book started and progressed. You had me for a minute towards the end, but I love how brought closer to all the characters. The only issue I after you dropped the boom on us I WANTED MORE of there life.
This book was pretty good especially Everette he saw a beautiful woman and let her know she was what he wanted and went after her so now he has a family of his own yeah Ev.
I loved Everett and Etta's story. I loved this quick read. Etta daughter Hattie was a gem. I'm glad they found each other. I loved Everett's family as well.
OMG, This was entirely too short! I have loved this author since I started reading again and have never been disappointed. I can re-read every book and not get tired.
