I was born to give the devil his due.

When I woke up naked next to the hottest man I’ve ever met, I had no idea just how much my life was about to change. And I had no clue the man was the devil himself.

Literally.

I promised to be his for all eternity, and so far, it’s going well. Luke will give me anything to keep me happy: jewels, food, days in bed, and more. I don't need material things to stay. I feel more for Luke than I've ever felt before. But am I ready to give him my heart?

I’m meant to be his queen, but now that Luke has found me, I’m in danger from everyone who opposes him. This isn’t my first lifetime, and the last time he tried to crown me it ended in blood.

My blood.

Angels will do whatever it takes to stop my coronation. Luke promises it won’t happen again. He says he’ll sacrifice anything to protect me – even his soul. All I have to do is trust him.

Only The Devil can protect me from Heaven.

A vast improvement on the prior book. The first book was so bad, that I'm amazed I've given the second book a chance.
Now I'm actually looking forward to how this situation is resolved in the 3rd book.

I’m completely hooked. Luke & Evie have been through so much and it seems finally they will be together forever but a betrayal no one saw come will ruin it all. I’m shocked and stunned at that ending. I need too read the next book ASAP.

Had me in tears at the end. Wonderful story!!! Can’t wait to read the next!! With her losing Luke and then possibly finding out she’s pregnant! Although I had my suspicions as to if Pegasus was responsible for the angel finding out that Luke had possibly broken the treaty on the night of their wedding. It was confirmed, but I hope we find out if that was the end of him or not. I’d also like to see what Lucifer would do to him now that he knows he’s the one that betrayed himself and Evie.

Review of Lucifer’s Queen
By Roxie Ray & Skye Wilson

Unappealing Start, Somewhat Stronger Finish

Although this book is reportedly by Roxie Ray and another author I’ve never read before, Skye Wilson, it didn’t feel like a Roxie Ray book. It started with a lurid sex scene between Evie, aka Evelyn St. John or Lilith, and her husband, Luke Dawnstar, aka Lucifer or the devil. Most Roxie Ray books I’ve read (and if you’ve ever read any of my many reviews of “her” books, you’ll know that I love “her” writing style) have a story before any sexual scenes are described. I have read recently that “Roxie Ray” is actually a group of writers rather than an individual. So, I don’t know who has written the Roxie Ray books I’ve so enjoyed in the past, but I don’t think it was this collection of writers.

With that being said, I should also add that this is Book 2 of the “Married to the Devil” series. I haven’t read Lucifer’s Bride, which is Book 1, but I didn’t feel like I really needed to in order to understand anything that had gone before, plus there are descriptions of prior events sufficient to provide the background. However, it’s possible that the first book may have provided answers to some of the questions I was left with.

The things I didn’t like about the story:

1, It had way too many unnecessary sex scenes for my taste. I get why some sex scenes can contribute to a book, but it seemed to me that this book had sex every chapter and it was often repetitive and described in the crudest terms.

2. Why did the angels take the actions they did with respect to Evie? The actions were described, but they were never explained as to why.

3. The ending is a cliffhanger and you’ll have to purchase another book to (hopefully) get to the end of the story.

***** SPOILER AHEAD *****

4. The story ground to a rather not so happily ever after ending.

***** END SPOILER *****

Altogether, the best rating I can give this book is 2 stars.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Book two of the magnificent married to the devil series. I loved this book it was hilariously in parts and heartbreaking others with shocking climatic cliffhanger ending in this book. I love this series I highly recommend reading this book series.

Following the events of the previous book it’s been a few weeks since Evie woke up in a Lucifer’s bed married to the king of hell. Lucifer meets her parents she meets his fallen Moloch she’s already met and the others that fell with Lucifer, beelezebub, Belial, Mammon and Mulciber. She starts her training for her upcoming coronation to receive the title Queen of hell. Angels are still trying to kill her. Someone is leaking information on her whereabouts. There was some strong hints of pregnancy throughout the book Mulciber desperate to design a nursery, the fallen fixated on when they’re going to have babies, hells restaurant turns her drink into water, she’s feeling queasy but considering everything going On it could just be stress. Phlegyas disappears mysterious occasionally but he’s trying to get into heaven to be with his daughter. Evie gets more memories of her past deaths including the last time the coronation happened. The archangel Michael makes Lucifer an offer he can’t refuse promising that Evie will be safe no more attacks, no more deaths or reincarnation. But ge keeps it secret from Evie and becomes very secretive and busy for the last few weeks leading up to her coronation. Only on the day of the coronation the shocking truth is revealed when the archangels Michael and Gabriel save her from Raphael because they won’t stop her from becoming the queen of hell because Lucifer is giving up the title of devil and becoming an angel to return to heaven. Evie turned demonic and immortal in hell forever parted but she will be safe. Phlegyas betrayed them to the angels in hopes of reuniting his daughter didn’t happen but he’s guilty knowing that Lucifer doesn’t know Evie’s pregnant. Evie after Lucifer said his goodbyes is furious and will do whatever it takes to get her husband back. Talk about a heartstopping cliffhanger can’t wait to read the last book to find out what happens next.

If you’re looking for a fresh take on Dante’s Inferno, Lucifer's Queen is an absolute must-read! This series dives deep into the intricate relationship between Luke and Evie, exploring their connection in a way that feels both intimate and powerful. The author brilliantly weaves themes of love, betrayal, and sacrifice throughout the narrative, making you invested in the fates of both heavenly and hellish beings.

What I particularly loved was how the story captures the complexities of their bond. It’s not just a love story; it’s an exploration of the choices that define us, even in the most extreme circumstances. The characters are well-developed, and their struggles resonate on so many levels.

Honestly, if you didn’t "get" this book or gave it a low rating, I feel bad for you. It’s all about imagination and diving into this wild world of hell and heaven. The writing pulls you in and makes you care about what happens to everyone involved.

I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series—I'm completely hooked! This book is absolutely divine! 😍

5⭐️ - wow wow wow! I like the first book well enough but this one cemented it for me. Not at all what I expected, spicy but with so much plot and development I couldn’t stop reading.

Evie is now fully aware of who Luke is, and who she is to him. Taking her rightful place as queen of Hell is the next step, but not an easy one. Working with the other Fallen, the demons, and Evie’s friends, the goal is to keep her alive past the coronation. Working on fighting skills while also protecting her, Luke doesn’t know if he can handle another loss of his true love.

Trying to live her normal life and her life in Hell gets harder and harder by the day. Luke has been so kind and has arranged for her to go to and from class, with a protection detail. She knows he wants to keep her locked away in Hell for her safety, but starts to fall in love with the man who is giving her a choice.

So so good. I can’t wait for the next book. I’m hooked

I'm glad I put off reading this until the 3rd book in the series was already released, because I don't think my heart could handle waiting.

To say that Luke & Evie go through hell for love is a bit tongue in cheek, but honestly it's true.

Luke has to live knowing his true love is murdered over and over; and after every reincarnation, poor Evie has to learn to love the Devil again.

This book continues almosy immediately after the first book ended. Luke and Evie are preparing for her coronation as Queen of Hell, while also preparing for the inevitable battle with the angels. Evie struggles with her feelings for Luke in the present, while having flashbacks of her previous deaths.

The story flows well, the characters develop nicely and the conflict builds over the course of the book. Although a bit predictable in the end, still an enjoyable read.

This book was a bit of a punch in the gut - and I enjoyed it immensely. Though I could see certain things in the foreshadowing, the main twist of the book was a nice surprise. Luke and Evie's love has always been a tragic story in their past lives, and whilst the ending to this book was a bit bitter and darker than the first, it fit perfectly.

Evie and Luke's relationship is full of spice, and it was interesting to see how being married to the devil would develop Evie's character. It was also great to see more of some of the background characters and to learn that everything isn't always hunky-dory, I'm happy if you're happy. This made for a more believable, relatable reading experience, and an enjoyable one.

👫 Luke & Evie (Lucifer & Lillith)
📖 2/? Married to the Devil

Everything I do, everything I own, everything I am— It’s always belonged to you.

Where can I find me a Luke? I would REALLY like a Luke. Seriously?

I loved watching them fall in love more, him opening up to her and her falling in love with him properly. I loved the concept with the angels and fighting to kill Evie. But there were parts which didn't make sense, why is she being left to run alone when they want to kill her? It just didn't make sense at times.. which is a shame cause I LOVED the story.

The books get better with each one, as does the writing. In this second instalment of the Married to the Devil series, we follow Evie again as she settles into her role as wife to Lucifer. Luke is doing everything he can to protect Evie from the Angels and their seemingly innocent ‘accidents’ on Earth (above).

Whilst there is still a lot of spicy scenes, this book manages to enhance the romantic connection between the 2 characters, learning and appreciating more of each other in the process. This makes for so,e exceptionally steamy scenes that top the first book IMO!

Looking forward to the next book and have thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Wow! Amazing!!!

This instalment in the series was fabulous. It was hard to put down. Can't believe what Luke does to protect Evelyn. The last few chapters were heart breaking and so sad.
I cannot wait for the next book to find out what Evelyn is gonna do next.
The one who was betraying Lucifer was revealed at the end of this book but I guessed it way before it happened. It was quite obvious.
Anyway I really want to read the next book but it's now 1.10am and I need to go to bed as I have an early start. I'm tempted to start the next instalment but I think I'm gonna have to wait til tomorrow now.
Fantastic series so far and amazingly written.

Very impressive!!

Book 2 is even impressive! Heaven and hell with all the celestial beings involved.
The king of hell has finally crowned his queen👑
Luke's love for Evie has no bound that he made a deal with heaven just so she will no longer die and stop the cycle of reincarnation. Luke live, love and breathe for Evie. He created a paradise for her and finally crowned her his queen but a sacrifice was made that after all the cycle of reincarnation they still didn't get their happily ever after.
This book will burn you for you can't put it down 😍 Another cliffhanger but I'm ready for more sleepless night of reading to know what awaits Lucifer and his queen.

Well things certainly stepped up in this book, there is plenty of action, both in and out of bed. Once again we are following the fate of Lucifer/Lillith or Hades and Persephone, whichever you prefer. The book is faster paced than book one and I found myself engrossed is the plight of our two Hs. The battle between Heaven and Hell is real and there is subterfuge afoot which kept the plot interesting. Once again the matter of some proofing and editing were the only things that let it down.
I look forward to the next book.

Lucifer saves Evie

The story line is very good. I adore the love story, as a victim of domestic violence it was hard to get through the semblance of BDSM. I don’t recall the first book being quite so.
Although those are my issues and I didn’t quite understand the books were so detailed and could cause me too have some triggers, my review is for those that may not be able to handle it. Just be aware before you read that if you have some trauma from personal experiences there are triggers within the story.

Happy reading.

I was not prepared for the twist at the end. I began to read it and had to walk away from the book and began pacing my room to build up the strength to read it. I cried, ugly cried at the beautiful language towards the end. My only regret is that I have too much going on tomorrow for me to stay up tonight.

Luke and Erie’s story is filled with so much emotion that it leaves you feeling everything this couple is going through. Oh my! I am eagerly waiting to start the last book. You will definitely want to continue this journey to find out if HEA exists for this couple but in the meantime experience the rollercoaster adventure. Enjoy!

This book made me laugh and cry. I want to say the last hour of thr audiobook broke me. I hate how it ends, but am so happy book 3 is available. I will be starting it first thing tomorrow. I also loved how we get more than just Christian beliefs we also have Greek and Norse mythology, plus others I probably didn't catch. I can't wait to see how this story ends.

This book pissed me off.

Spoilers
I didn’t even bother with the “sexy” bits. No strong fmc here - helpless pathetic sub even with roles reversed. Marriage is a lot more than 1 parter obeying the other… also keeping secrets and making choices for someone else you supposedly love and respect is not a sacrifice it’s called being selfish.
