Based on the blurb, I wasn't in fire for this book. However, it's very important to note that the book is kind of the opposite - it's not about the hero, marriage and some more tropes. It's about determination, self-help and power.
Maybe self-published? And all respect to authors who do that work. But do find yourself a proof-reader and/or an editor who can tell you that you don't avoid things like plaque, but like the plague.
This was... annoying. But I read the whole thing. Make of that what you will.
