Would You Rather?

Rate this book
Would You Rather? is a gripping suspense thriller which follows Freya, a beautiful 18-year-old whose charmed life takes an abruptly dark turn when she is fired from her job, after her boss tries to force himself on her. When she returns from a house party later, she finds that her beloved family have been kidnapped.

The shocking situation only grows more horrific for Freya when she begins receiving an onslaught of terrifying, threatening messages, each one forcing her to make earth-shattering decisions with ultimately life-changing consequences. Even more shockingly, her attackers start sending video evidence of her poor family and the suffering that they are enduring.

Whatever she does... wherever she goes... and whoever she talks to- somehow she is being watched.

Freya is quickly thrust into a terrifying race against time to uncover who it is that is terrorising her and torturing her family, before the sick, twisted game that is being played turns deadly...

Spine-chilling, twisty and intensely nerve-wracking, Would You Rather? is a must-read for psychological thriller lovers.

The good about this book... It's unique. Interesting. I've read this author before, but that one had more violence. This one, not so much, but I like psych thrillers.
It's one of those stories that can be super fun while you're reading. I think I read it in a couple days. So it's a page turner and curiosity got the best of me. Curious as to which crazy thing the baddies would make the MC do next to save her family..
There were a few injuries that made me roll my eyes... ... also, the big reveal of who was forcing this game on her didn't do much for me. It's still a fun read, but if you think too hard it just doesn't work. If you want mindless entertainment, which there's nothing wrong if you do, this book is a fine read

I enjoy this authors stories, and commented on another one about the spelling/grammatical errors. This book is riddled with errors, changing tense and confusing me. I feel like if the book was proof read, even a chapter at a time, these errors could have been caught. Please find someone to read the story before you publish.

Also, I wished there was more...horror to this story. It felt not as extreme.

A good read

This was my 4th read by this author and I absolutely love her books. This gripped me all the way through and had a great ending which I have come to expect.

Unfortunately, what I have also come to expect is the litany of errors that a good proof read would solve. This one was the worst of the 4, with the usual overuse of the same phrases but exacerbated by the frequent use of the wrong words, changes in tense, typos and the obvious times when wording has been changed but the rest of the sentence not corrected at the same time. Use of the same word twice in a sentence was also a basic mistake in this one. As I've said repeatedly in my reviews of this author's books please, at the very least proofread your own work before hitting that publish button. It deserves to be delivered properly to your readers and all your good work is undone by not taking that little bit of extra time. At the very least, get a friend to do a read through, as I appreciate sometimes we can all become blind to mistakes when we read something over again.

The story of how quickly life can come down around you with just one moment. How you can go from an almost perfect life to a living nightmare seemingly overnight. A well paced storytelling weaving mystery with a thrilling ride. Not to be missed.
