There’s a darkness looming around Cape Misfortune, and it ends in disaster. In part two of the “Cape Misfortune” series, we meet our new main character, Sergeant Agata Dollar. Agata is a tough as nails sergeant with a real instinct for investigation. The only catch, there’s more than meets the eye to our sergeant. When she’s not busting heads, the ghostly visage of her dead sister is haunting her. And there’s more. Her sister, Cassandra, isn’t just catching up for old time sake. She’s warning about the end of days. All Agata wants is to enjoy her hard earned career title in this strange town, but it appears the mysteries of Cape Misfortune will force her hand.

This book is not a sequel to the fist COe Misfortune book, but plays within the same strange rules of the paranormal. The author, Henry Anderson, is a wizard w/ words, eerie descriptions and dialogue. From the early journal entries to the center of the book, everything is well written. Lovers of The Twilight Zone, Twin Peaks and Steven King’s “The Stand” will really enjoy this book. Check it out!

Twin Peaks meets the Twilight Zone

A portal story, this novel was one of my favorites because fantasy and reality are all mixed together and the reader will come out on top with a delightfully satisfying conclusion. Anderson is a master at capturing the moodiness of the Pacific northwest in a distinct style evocative of David Lynch's epic series. Read best on a foggy night with your favorite hot beverage for a terrifically chilling time.
