**3 Sentence Summary: Content production can be a loving act of service. Instead of trying to be unique, be yourself. Your job is simply to share what you’ve learned that may be helpful and then to build upon the ideas that your audience responds well to.

**My Thoughts: Can be read in under one hour. I love how George views content creation through a spiritual lens. His approach takes away so many of the sticking points that I see my clients and audience members struggle with. Well worth it.

**Key Takeaways:

“Don’t try to get attention. Be yourself and see who shows up.”

“your most effective volunteer hours, and your most effective charity dollars, might be to get your unique message to the people who need it most.”

Create casual content -> improve on what’s liked -> integrate and productize

“recognize how lucky you are that these people are willing to pay you their precious attention. There are so many articles they can read, millions of videos they can watch, or podcasts they can listen to. The spending of their time is the one currency that they won't get back.”

“Make your content for just one person at a time.”

“Perfectionism is continuous self-punishment, repeating the inner voice of a strict authority figure from your past.”

“Remember: when you create, you win, no matter what.”

“Stop asking yourself whether you’re ready. Instead, ask whether you see people struggling with something you already know.”

**Read this if: You want master the “inner game” of creating content. It will help you be more consistent and enjoy the process.

This book is about Authentic Marketing methods. What it basically meant, that when creating content we need to focus more on creating content that will help others. Not focusing on selling something that is not valuable as much as we charging for it.

We are all witness of today internet world, too many marketers mislead other people by selling them different kind of products that don’t worth, and we don’t learn much from them. But they are good marketers and know “how to trick people into buying it”, that what they are selling.

George in this book focus on more on creating value for money, and sharing some things for free, and charging for others, more valuable things.

We can read from his past, that he had same experience and admitting that he in his first years of doing business he didn’t want to share anything for free, and that he was overcharging for his course.

I like this book because it moves your forward on focusing how to create products, services or whatever that provide value for other people.

There aren’t many tips like that in current era. People are only focused on how to make money, but it usually end up taking advantage of other peoples money and selling them something that is not worth it.

When I get idea of creating blog where I’m going to write about book that I have read – my plan was from start to write about books that I actually had read, now outsourcing information from reviews that other had wrote.

Seems like, that I’ve started working on what George suggests before I even read his book.

So, if you are like me, don’t want to make money by taking advantage of others, then buy this book, because you will learn something valuable. I know that I did. If you are focused only on making money, no matter how – than this book will not be helpful for you. You need to go ahead and read something else.

Familiar Ideas, Unique Perspective

While I found a lot of familiar ideas suggested from other book marketing I’ve learned, it still felt unique by discussing the “authentic” perspective which I find is taught by those who really help me with authentic book marketing. It’s a good reminder that we can keep making content and grow with less pressure.

Absolute Gold for Heart-Centered Knowledge Entrepreneurs

George Kao, in characteristic authentic, generous fashion, offers best practices he’s discovered for creating and sharing content. More then simply a “how to,” George’s consciousness infuses each chapter with a spirit of honoring one’s gifts and serving from overflow that comes through to this reader as an activating transmission. Wholehearted recommendation. Blessings, All.
