On a journey to fulfill the desires spewing inside her, Abigail Bennett finds herself at an anonymous club that looks more like Greek Heaven than a shabby BDSM establishment. It is the perfect place to meet the Greek God that is Preston Trice.
He's ruthless, robust, arrogant, and believes he can walk on water. Most of all he's willing to fulfill all of Abigail's fantasies as long as she gives him total control.
Drawn to a life she only read about in books and fantasied about in her dreams, Abigail is taken on a sexual awakening that enlightens her entire being.
New review : Collared is by all means my favorite D/s book! The plot and the complexity of the characters is beautiful written. It is truly amazing and it made me realize the beauty of a consensual D/s , M/s and SM relationship. This books shows that a BDSM lifestyle isn’t about abuse or degradation but rather a passionate love that involves complete trust in your partner. It was an awe inspiring and empowering read.
Old review:
I read this book two years ago on WP and I was enamored by it then as I am now. This book has stayed with me all these years and now I can finally have and own my very own copy Abigail and Preston’s enthralling story with me. This author has come a long way since her her days on WP
BDSM!!! This book defines bdsm. A story about a sadist and masochist. This book Is just everything and not for the feint of heart. I haven't seen a book like it, I mean yes I've read dominant and submissive books but if you think this book is like that then you have another thing coming. The characters know what they want and I really love that, no beating around the bush. The consent, the sex scenes, girrlll 🤭 the girl craves pain, it's not even about the actual sex but the pain and control for both of them. I could literally feel the tension when they first met through the book. I haven't been able to really love a BDSM book after this one cause they all feel lacking.
I first read this book on wattpad and then again on inkitt and I keep rereading it because I just love it so much
This book holds a very special place in my heart, I remember reading it YEARS ago on Wattpad and discovered it had been published months ago but was too scared to read it incase it didn’t live up to how much I loved it then. Collared did not disappoint. It was just as beautifully written as I remembered. Please do not read this book as your first bdsm book it is on the more extreme side. Getting to fall for Preston and Abigail again was amazing and I couldn’t remember this book enough if you love bdsm books. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 Bdsm - extreme Blood play Knife play Extreme pain play Collaring Choking Spanking Canning Food control Anal Sharing Edging Orgasm denial Ow scene (not cheating) Probably a lot more that I missed
This just made me feel sad :( I wanted a book where the hero was caring and controlling and didn’t treat the heroine like crap and two people who knew what they wanted and treated each other well and meet each other’s needs but alas. the reviews made me think i was gonna get that but nope
i’ve read lots of horrible heroes and bdsm and dark romance but this one really wasn’t for me
I didn’t like: - that he didn’t do aftercare. ever. for 15 years he’s been a ‘dom’ but never does aftercare because it’s too intimate. AND HE LITERALLY BLISTERED AND WHIPPED HER OPEN AND WOULDN’T EVEN PUT ANYTHING ON THE WOUNDS WTF. and even though he starts to kinda at the end, idgaf. he treated women horribly by not doing that or giving basic care - for me bdsm is dominance and submission and even with the sm bit, maybe even more with that, the aftercare is so important and it just made me sick reading that -she was literally bleeding nonstop and he didn’t care. -idk none of it was sexy or sweet or hot or anything -hated that he had another sub. i wouldn’t have even read this if i knew that from the start -he didn’t let her eat anything. WTF. and made her drink from the shower or something ridiculous like that -that he didnt care about her pleasure -idgaf at this point it all just read like abuse
i just.. even though he was ‘nice’ at the end, i just couldn’t get over how he treated her and how he obviously must have treated other women
i highlight and bookmark 100s of bits while I’m reading and for this book I did ZERO!
Now, did she like everything? yes! she was happy and loved him and loved lauren and didn’t even care about her wounds and everything. so i can see that maybe other people would enjoy this book.
i wish the book description mentioned that he has another sub and that it’s kinda extreme masochism with no aftercare and a hero who doesn’t act like he cares about women for half the book
it just me sad :( literally the opposite hero of what i wanted to read this week
i should’ve just stopped at the beginning when it said she’d started being interested in sex when she was around seven (a kid!! literally wtf!) and when we found out he has a sub already and saw how he treated her. i really need to get better at dnfing :(

Def intriguing for those who like to read more than just fluffy bdsm, but I honestly got hung up on grammar errors and just wrong words/weirdly phrased sentences. Overall I enjoyed the book though, so 3.5⭐️
This is just not my brand of kink. The pain play and cravings are way too much for me and I honestly don't care for a hero who gets off on tears of pain and misery. DNF
The Good: •The intensity of the D/s relationship was really good. I feel like authors avoid extreme BDSM scene in books a lot of the time, but this one hit in terms of sadomasochism. •I couldn’t guess where the plot was going a lot of the time.
The Bad: •The writing style. There are a lot of typos and misused words. I usually can just skim past them, but this book had so many. Typos aside, the prose just felt super clunky. •The whole “I don’t do aftercare” thing after intense scenes kinda sucked and made my heart feel bad. Especially since the FMC is so inexperienced. •I hate the trope where the only time a sub uses their safe word is in a very emotional moment outside of a scene. It’s overused and boring. •Lauren’s character just made me sad 😢 •The ending with the actual collaring scene was very rushed and super confusing. I had to go back a few pages to make sure I didn’t miss anything because it was so weird and out of place. The FMC wants to be collared, but never actually expresses that to the MMC and they never have a conversation about it. The author makes that kind of relationship sound like a standard cookie cutter relationship escalation, but collaring isn’t a “standard” practice with socially defined guidelines. •I wish the relationship between D/s and feminism was explored in a better way.
I finished this book and went straight to Reddit to find better books with similar relationship intensity lol
From someone who has lived the BDSM lifestyle, it was truly wonderful reading a book that describes it perfectly. Most dark romance glorify the abuse and degradation, but not Paula, this story was truly beautiful. Paula wrote what a BDSM dynamic is and should be in these type of relationships. The complete trust you must have to give yourself to another the way Abigail did with Preston. True chefs kiss to this book. Abigail is a woman who felt she never fit in to this world because of her fantasies. Preston, arrogant, gave her just what she wanted and always needed. You watch there dynamic go from Abigail to being shy and not completely understanding the dynamic, to growing into her own and owning her new found self. The details and complexity of the characters is wonderfully written. Cannot wait to start reading the second book.
Book: Collared Author: Paula Dickson Genre: Erotic Romance @Elaina Wall #bookloungereviewteam Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review: Oh, My Goodness. Collared did not disappoint. The story takes place with Abigail Bennett, a young woman driven by a fierce, long-held desire, seeks out a world of extreme control. Her journey takes her to an anonymous, luxurious club—a "Greek Heaven"—where she finds Preston Trice, an arrogant, ruthless man who personifies dominance. Preston, her self-appointed "Greek God," is willing to fulfill all of Abigail’s fantasies, but only if she gives him total control. Collared follows Abigail's intense sexual awakening as she submits to Preston’s command, charting a passionate, complex relationship built on the ultimate test of trust in the extreme world of BDSM. Definitely will be reading the second book and recommending it to all of my friends.
When I read a fiction book, its because I want to escape reality for a few hours and dive into something sweet that takes mind away from real life. But damn this book was really... political? I like the MMC and most of FMC, but I felt like every other page it was making me say, "ok I get it the brother is gay, ok i get it the mother is a feminist, ok i get it the author is probably some progressive person... move on!" I literally would skip chapters just to avoid it, but ended up stopping all together. There are better BDSM books out there. I really wanted to like it; great concept, poor execution.
This book is for those with a very open mind to BDSM. Heavy on the SM. Diving in I didn't think that the gorgeous Preston Trice, aka Master Trice had the capability of showing a loving side. It actually frustrated me with how guarded he was. It felt as if he was incapable of showing affection and that drove me crazy. I rode waves of conflicting emotions as Abigail tore down some of those walls. Once those walls started coming down an intensely passionate, physical, and heavy SM relationship evolved. At the beginning, I almost gave up on it because he was so emotionally guarded. So glad I persisted through because this book was amazing.

Thank God for Lauren. My Fairy Godmother Lauren.
The emotional rollercoaster this book put me through was crazy. I went from sadness to joy to discomfort to giddiness, and sometimes at the same time. And just like how Abigail mentions people may judge their relationship, I realized I had my own bias to work through.
I think this is the first book I’ve read that truly felt like a glimpse into a real sadomasochistic relationship. There wasn’t light degrading or punishment, the scenes that they participated in meant to hurt. And honestly, that’s what made me uncomfortable at first. To fully understand their BDSM relationship, I had to recognize the depth of consent present in every moment. I didn’t even register the spicy scenes as “spice.” They felt more like a genuine peek into S&M dynamics.
Abigail I loved from the beginning. I loved how honest she was with herself. Preston grew on me throughout the story. There were some parts where I did not agree with his actions, but I believe he did learn from his past mistakes.
This book is heavy. If you are not used to these dynamics, be ready for a wild ride.
🖤Fav Quotes🤍
“Abigail Bennett was a siren, and she’d been trying to bewitch him.”
“She’d already broken the feminist code when she agreed to be owned by a man who promised nothing more but debasement.”
"Time ceased to exist when Abigail Bennett was his muse. His inspiration for the next torture she’d endure."
If you loved 50 Shades of Grey, this book is definitely worth diving into. It makes 50 Shades of Grey look like a watered down PG version of what BDSM really is. The Dom/Submissive trope jumps off the page and you can literally feel the tension as you’re reading. Collared takes you on the journey of a woman who is seeking complete and absolute control in the most sexy way possible. Preston is her assigned dom and he exudes all of the traits that consume Abigail’s fantasies and desires. The only issue between them is that Abigail must drop all of her walls and relinquish all hesitation, placing full trust in his hands. A lot BDSM books do not do it for me but this one was so much more than it’s trope. It had substance and an actual storyline rather than just jumping into the spice. I will for sure be reading book 2 of Masters of Desires.
first read this back when it was still up on wp lol and i'm pretty sure this is because of my shitty memory but the author changed a lot? and honestly it's so much better than before. mind you this book contains some really hard kinks and most of which i don't want anything to do with, but man, preston and abigail are the sweetest sick fucks ever... they belonged together <3 and lauren omg i'm so glad she bailed tf out of there when she did because she deserves EVERYTHING good and sooo much better than an unrequited love with a balding man. you go girl.
I liked the idea of this book, the FMC and MMC finding their person in each other. They were both able to find someone who understood them fully and did not judge their needs but were able to fulfill them. I did find parts of the story disjointed and did not flow as nicely as other parts. There were times where scenes ended abruptly or the story jumped around without context. The FMC came across as immature and irritating at times. This made the book more difficult to read at times. I did finish the book and appreciated the story the author wanted to tell.
This book was an exceptional read that kept me intrigued from beginning to end. It tells the story of two people with unique desires who refuse to be judged for their preferences, each searching for the one person who truly understands and fulfills their needs. I appreciated how the story thoughtfully explores the BDSM lifestyle and emphasizes the importance of consent & trust. Overall, this was a captivating and thought-provoking read that beautifully balances emotion, intimacy, and trust in the BDSM world.
This book had so much potential, but the poor grammar and writing style completely ruined it for me. Also, the constant use of the word 'whore' was such a turn-off. That was their dynamic though, consensual too, so I understand that.
I read this book because it was recommended on Reddit, but the writing is truly horrible. I tried to get through it because people said the scenes were amazing. However, I ended up skimming the whole thing, even the scenes.
It really did have a lot of potential; the writing just needs some major improvement.
What a fun read in the world of BDSM. This definitely read as a 50 Shades fan fiction to me, but not sure because of the author’s note. That doesn’t mean this book isn’t amazing on its own and actually shows the real world of the S/M dynamic. The spice is top-notch, the descriptions of the scenes are incredible! Loved all the side characters, especially Lauren. If you love a good read on the BDSM lifestyle, this is the perfect book for you!
Welcome to the world of BDSM. Abigail has always felt like she didn’t quite belong—until she met Preston. Arrogant yet alluring, Preston gives her exactly what she’s always craved but never dared to admit. At first, he keeps his guard up, but little by little, Abigail breaks through his walls. Their connection is raw, intense, and unforgettable. If you enjoy steamy, emotional stories with a touch of dominance and vulnerability, this book is definitely for you!
Loved this book.I first read it on Wattpad a while back and just recently read the published version.Paula is so talented and an amazing author. The love story between Abigail and Preston is so beautiful and different. They fit each other perfectly and I just couldn’t put the book down. This is definitely a book I will continue to read .
LOVE this book. I read it back in my Wattpad days and I just had to get a physical copy! If you like actual BDSM and an absolute harsh dominate man, this book is for you. The story between these two still sticks with me. Her falling for him, him falling back, her saving her safe word!!!!! Ugh still sticks me.
You want spice and an adventure of taboo and extremes? This is the book for you. It takes you for one wild ride that will sometimes have you squirming in your seat. A story absolutely captivating with characters that can’t help but to make you fall in love with them. This book took me by surprise with how well it was written. A truly amazing story!
4.5 stars. i read this book a few years ago on wattpad and i LOVEDDD it. i’m planning on rereading again just for the feel of it but i definitely recommend it for people who doesn’t mind bdsm. overall this is one of my favorite books!
I read it on Wattpad years ago and let’s say, it introduced me to bdsm. The impression I have of it is the writing was beautiful and of course, the wedding scene at the end that made me shocked. I was new to it after all.
This is the first bdsm story I read. I found it on wattpad and I have to admit it is the best I ever read. The writer is very talented and the ideas are well expressed. The plot is dark and very exciting for those seeking something reasonable without the stupid kinks you find in other stories.
