Note: This book was previously titled Champagne Brunch. Only the title has changed.

If your best friend was arrested for murder? Would you lie or tell the truth?

Axel
I don’t want complicated, drama, or serious in the women I date.
That was until I met her.
Mia’s different—she’s beautiful, smart, and knows baseball better than I do.
Her close friend is arrested for murder and life becomes complicated.
Chaos engulfs her.
Drama colors all parts of her life.
And, maybe serious wouldn’t be so bad.

Mia
Life’s not as easy for me as people think.
Sure I’m CEO of a Fortune 50 company I founded.
I’ve got a group of girlfriends who’d doing anything for me.
But I can’t meet a decent guy to save my life until I met him.
Axel makes my toes curl and my heart melt.
But the timing may just be wrong.

Bubbles with Brunch is a romance with a happy ending and the first book in the The Stiletto Sisters series. This series is about strong women who need strong men. This book can be read as a stand alone that highlights the women seen in the Venture Capitalist series and the Tech Billionaire series.

Love by the Numbers

Nothing is more fragile than a man’s ego. But that fragile ego can be bolstered by the man’s evaluation of his superiority in comparison to any individual who might be his opponent. But in today’s world that opponent might be male or female. A man needs a method of evaluating who is the alpha. Who has the most money, the greatest power, or the largest business successes?

But in today’s world, women have begun to find their pathways into the highest levels of achievements in business, finance and society. So, when Mia Couture’s algorithm for sorting individual choices became the company Diamond Analytics, which provided the foundational data needed to shape sales campaigns and marketing, facilitating a company’s focused product pitch to land with great precision, propelling Couture’s proprietary software, and the company controlling it, to unlimited financial success.

And as a result of the beautiful Chinese American’s tech savviness and coding genius, her company’s stock soared under the direction of venture capitalist Mason Sullivan and his company, SHN. Now, Mia plays with the big boys in the tech world with a company possessing the ability to harvest data reflecting an individual’s interest and purchases, a technology that even countries like China or Russia would be eager to access to gain knowledge of an individual’s choices. Such valuable might lead an unethical entity undertake any method available to gain such knowledge—such power—even illegally hacking into a company like Diamond Analytics, to access its proprietary code and the preference revealing data gathered by the Couture coding genius.

Under such high-stake challenges, Mia has been lucky to have a group of friends to whom she can turn for support, for guidance and with whom she can simply hang out and be herself. She has been lucky enough to gather a group of women like herself—bright, creative and successful in their business ventures—the Stiletto Sisters—strong, successful women who understand that a smart, independent woman can intimidate the fragile male ego, even the ego of a technology titan.

So, when Mia’s best friend, a Stiletto Sister—Viviana Prentis—is revealed to be a Russian agent—a super spy and a murderess, Mia is stunned and broken by the betrayal of the friendship and Viviana’s murder of a wonderful friend, mother and wife, Cecelia Cortez Sullivan. Mia is especially hurt and angered by how she herself is tainted by her innocent relationship with a woman who did not deserve to be called a friend. And now, Mia faces a world turned upside down. Her baby—her company is being taken from her by a board of directors whom she had trusted. Her company’s servers are being hacked by a foreign power.

To calm herself, to occupy her mind and to distract herself from a life spinning out of control, Mia, who has been forced to take a leave of absence from her company, uses the basic algorithm of the code for Diamond Analytics, to create a dating application—Flirt. And SHN helps her launch the application at a party. At the launch party for Flirt, she is introduced to Axel Remington, a sports agent who is currently handling 3 young players on the local San Francisco and she gives him her number.

Who would guess that the wealthy, beautiful, smart, savvy coder has a soft spot for baseball? But when still a young girl, Mia had realized that baseball spoke her language as no other sport did—the language of mathematical variations. Each pitch thrown to each player reset the calculus of the hitter, the pitcher, and the game. The statistics generated with the constantly changing variables offered endless pathways where her mind could play. And, she could rattle off batting averages and the statistics of the game with the best. So, it was not hard to understand the almost instant affinity shared by Mia and Axel. It’s all about the numbers.

The "Tech Billionaires" and "Clear Security" are back!!!!! For any of you who know Anisley St. Claire or who follow her "Tech Billionaire"/"Clear Security" series, you understand that I really do not need to say more. Between St. Claire and her fabulous series, this review can write itself. But be warned... once you start reading Champagne Brunch, you will not want to put it down. St. Claire has a way of truly captivating her audience, making it very difficult to want to do anything but read, read, READ!
This story picks up on the heels of "Showdown". The bad guy has been arrested - now it's time to find a motive. Mia Couture's former best friend is behind bars and she is still reeling from the events of the past year. The board of directors of her company have asked Mia to take a leave of absence until the fall out from the murder investigation dies down. So, Mia does what any self made billionaire, poker player extraordinaire, and all around kick-ass woman would do - she creates a new dating app and in so doing, meets pro-sports agent, Axel Remington. I would like to say that "Champagne Brunch" is their story, but it is so much more than that.
In both "Tech Billionaires" and "Clear Security", St. Claire wrote about some amazing women. They are smart, beautiful, rich, loving, and fun. These "Stiletto Sisters" are vulnerable because of these unique qualities and therefore would do anything for each other. Mia Couture is one of the "sisters". Along with the romance between Mia and Axel, St. Claire writes about the incredible friendships that abound between these women.
I love the way Ainsley St. Claire is able to continue the story of the climatic murder from her previous series while at the same time introducing us to the other group of characters. Most of these women were in her other books in varying degrees but now we get to meet them on a more personal level. The way St. Claire is able to incorporate these two concepts is wonderful. Don't worry, if you have not read the "Tech Billionaire" or "Clear Security" books, you can still understand what is happening in "Champagne Brunch". St. Claire does a great job of giving enough background information that you do not feel lost. I would just HIGHLY RECOMMEND all of the books in bothe series!

I feel bad about writing this review ...

I hope to update this with a more positive review regarding the actual romance side of things, but unfortunately, I haven't made it that far yet before I had to vent. Ok. This is the most unrealistic book I've read in quite some time. It's thrown me out of enjoying it about 5 times now and I'm only on chapter 5. The eye rolls are giving me a headache at this point. If the author just did a tiny bit of research. 5 minutes to find more realistic plot points/statistics/funding amounts. Spoilers ahead.....

1. This person works on code for an app for 3 weeks (no assistance and no team), creates an apparently groundbreaking algorithm. Meets with other wealthy friends and immediately they offer $500 million dollars to invest.. And before testing it/market research/etc. Yes, a start up for an unproven dating app. 500 million. Does the author know how much 500 million is? That is hilarious. It was so ridiculous it threw me out of the story. FYI, average dating app start ups need about $180,000.

2. The professional baseball players are 17 and 18 years old. Is this the 1940s? They are way too young. Especially saying that there are 3 that are that young in one team. That's ridiculous.

3. The 17 year old is the main pitcher and throwing "consistently" over 110 mph. Is he human? Clearly not. The fastest known in the majors is 105 and it's quite obvious no one is doing it consistently. No one is throwing 110. And obviously no one is going to do that consistently. Again, totally threw me out of the story.

4. The main guy has had 4 separate random women throw themselves at him in the 4 scenes he's been in so far. Is there something in the water? Why is everyone so horny? What are his pheromones doing to people?

I will continue on to get to the romance.. I will update again when I'm further in. I hope it becomes even just slightly more realistic.

Fortune 500 Tech billionaire Mia is smart, wealthy, beautiful, has powerful friends until one of her trusted best friend betrays her and murders her best friend. Everything seems to going wrong way. Her company's board members trying to push her out of her CEO and being investigated by FBI. It's too much. While stepping away from her company, she decided to work on another project that is better than any other dating apps now. This was to keep her mind off all the other things and it brought her a match who loved what she loved. Baseball.
Axel is a sports agent and has several upcoming baseball players under his care and when his good friend offers a chance to meet people, he could resist. Mia was perfect match for him. She was gorgeous, smart and knew about baseball stats like no one else. This could be interesting.
Mia and Axel hit it off right away and they were great. Even his baseball players loved her and listen to her. Axel never looked up who Mia was and he didn't really care until everything goes wrong. Mia's court case gets plastered everywhere and fake news is all over the internet.
When Axel and Mia gets together they can't keep their hands off each other and sparks fly everywhere, they never had the talk about THEM. Now Axel needs to decide if Mia is who she says she is or believe what he reads.
Mia has fantastic friends who rallies her while she is going through depositions and accidents. They are the best. I wish I had more friends like hers. They are great support system to have and they never let her down.
Mia and Axel are explosive together and I can't wait if they will continue their relationship in the future books. Once story picked up, I had to finish. I love the fact that Tech Billionaire is a women!!!. Her case isn't closed yet so I hope it will continue in the future.

Having read the Tech Billionaires and Clear Security series, I was familiar with all the couples, the story about Cecelia’s murder, and Mia’s role in the Tech Billionaires. I really liked the addition of Axel and the additional focus on Nate’s baseball team.

Getting more clarity on Cecelia’s case and the process of taking it to court was of great interest to me since I had been following Nate’s wife’s disappearance and subsequent murder through several books. I did start to wonder what someone who had not read the Tech Billionaire series would get from that story line. I also wondered how it would be for someone picking up CHAMPAGNE BRUNCH would be able to keep up with the girls in their group (the Stiletto Sisters), their partners, and the references to past events. I get confused sometimes with all the people, and each book adds more to the mix.

The story of Axel and Mia was ok. Mia was a little too flat to me. I couldn’t feel her passion even with Axel. It never seemed to me like she was falling in love, smitten, or even hurt when he didn’t call. The words said it, but I didn’t feel it. I could see her being outwardly reserved, but expected to feel private thoughts that showed more emotional depth. On the other hand, I love math and it was so refreshing to see math being portrayed as something more than buying things and making change.

Axel had a great storyline with the young baseball players and his nephews to show his lighter side. I thought he deserved someone that would take his breath away. He seemed to take everything in stride about Mia once he learned the facts.

This is the first book in the new series about a group of women that are there for each other. Some we have met before in other books in different series's written by the author and some are new and I am excited to read their stories. In this book we get Mia's story. She is close with Nate and Lily and Mason and Cece from the previous series. They also play a big part in this story as well.

In the previous series featuring Nate and Lily it is discovered that Viviana, their friend was the one who killed Nate's much beloved wife and she was also a russian spy. This story features Viv's best friend or so she thought, Mai. Mia is an extremely wealthy woman, but she has been dumped by her boyfriend, tossed ot her own company, because she is being investigated for her connection to Viv.

She decides to create a new app called Flirt and through the app she meets a hot guy, Axel. He is an agent to sports stars and we get to know him, his family and his players in the story while Mia battles lawyers and depositions realting to Viv.

This story could be categorized as a sports romance because baseball is a big part of the story. Its also big on drama and features a romance between Mia and Axel. I really enjoyed this story and I really loved Mia. But Axel was a guy who I was not sure deserved Mia. He has a lot going on and at times he jumps to conclusions about her without getting the facts and ghosting her a bit. I just expected a bit more loyalty from him and I felt Mia accepted his apology a little too easily. Aside from that I loved the story, characters and all the drama.

I have been a big fan of Ainsley’s work and have enjoyed her books going back to the start of the first series. Now I receive them as part of her ARC team, but this review is completely voluntary. Although I was sad to see the last series end, this one jumps off close to when the last one ended. There are many of the same characters and the women leads are all part of a close group of extraordinarily successful women entrepreneurs in San Francisco. The backdrop to this series appears to the upcoming trial of Viviana, a friend to these women and turn out she was also spying for the Russians.
This book follows Mia, a multi-billionaire who was close to Viviana and now has issues with her own company because of the investigation and the concern of what information may have been stolen. Her board put her on leave and Mia decides to use that time to develop a dating app. At the same time, she meets Axel, a sports agent, who has recently moved to San Francisco to be closer to his young baseball players who have recently been signed to play there. Mia and Axel are introduced by mutual friends and hit it off immediately. They have explosive chemistry and seem to have plenty in common, especially baseball. As things are heating up, there are more problems with the upcoming trial, and it may cause issues with their relationship.

This was my first book by this author. I thought that the title didn’t fit the story or the main characters.

The story had good bones but there were a couple of times when I had to go back and see if I missed something because it just jumps into major action with no foreshadowing. Actually it was less a need for foreshadowing and more missing plot development. I’m specifically talking about the beginning of chapter 34. There are two big GOTCHA moments in that chapter with characters who hadn’t been mentioned since Chapter 11. My head was spinning trying to figure out where that show down came from.

I think this book could have used an editor that did more ruthless editing; specifically cutting some of the clothing descriptions and some of the extensive sex scenes while getting the author to better elaborate on the drama at Diamond Analytics. The very last chapter didn’t seem to fit with the pacing of the rest of the story either and it just seemed like it tidily wrapped up the romance between Axel and Mia so that the next character in the friend group could have her love story.

This book would’ve been four stars for me if it hadn’t lost its footing in the last few chapters.

This is book one in The Stiletto Sisters series. This author has given us the male view of the successful business world, large bank accounts and finding love. Now we are flipping sides and seeing the same things from the female view. This is Mia's story. Mia is an incredibly successful business woman, in fact she is the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, Diamond Analytics. But success in one area of your life does.not translate to all areas, she is questioning her odds on finding love and happiness personally. I loved reading this book and the opportunity to get into another series by this author. I enjoyed the new characters but also the ones that we have met from previous books. Reading previous books is not required but you may want to for the love of reading more of this world and its characters you are introduced to. I cannot wait to read more as alway, enjoy!

Champagne Brunch is a sensational start to The Stiletto Sisters series. Staring a phenomenal group of women that are smart, successful in business, fun, and independent. Mia Couture just happens to be one of those Stiletto Sisters. Her company Diamond Analytics, has put her on the map. When her friend is put in prison for being a spy and murdering her best friend, her world is turned upside down.
On a leave of absence from her company, Mia creates a dating app called Flirt. SHN helps her launch it and she meets Axel Remington. Axel is a successful sports agent managing three local young players. They share a connection that gets stronger as they hit it off over baseball. The chemistry just flows between them. They are hot hot together and her kindness and his confidence balance each other. Would like to read more about this group friends in the next book to come.

This book marks the start of the Stiletto Sisters series, which I’m so excited to read, mostly because I became obsessed with Ainsley’s world, I love seeing old faces in new books.

This one talks about Mia Couture and Axel, both with successful loves and a common love for baseball✨

This book deals with the fallout of the events that finalized the Tec Billionaire series, which also mean you definitely have to read them, so you can understand everything better.

Mia is feeling betrayed by someone she believed was her friend, and it’s having a hard time at work, which she loves, so, she decides to start working on a new protect, that is how she meets Axel, and they get along amazing !

I would say this, there were moments in which I would have loved to strangle Axel, because he assumed things without thinking it, but he was an amazing Brother and uncle, so I’ll forgive him for it!

We got to see some familiar faces like those of SHN and Caroline, my baby Jackso and Landon!

Mia is so strong and amazing I love her character and her growth ♥️! You must definitely read this one!

I need to know what’s going to happen with a certain someone who is in jail! Because I’m dying!

This is the first book in the The Stiletto Sisters series and is a great start to the series. This book can be read as a standalone. If you've read any of the books in the Venture Capitalist Series or the Tech Billionaire series you'll recognize some of the characters. Mia and Axel make a great couple, They are strong personalities who seem to compliment each other. The girls in this series aren't sisters but their bond is stronger than most sisters. This book starts off with Mia's friend Vivianna's trial beginning and Mia is a witness. Mia is the last of the poker group to find love when she fell in love with Axel. He knew nothing about her except she loved baseball as much as he did. A great book that you will enjoy and it does have an HEA. I read a free book via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.

Great new series

Entrepreneur Mia has been betrayed by her best friend and now she has to deal with the fallout. Her best friend murdered another close friend and she’s also been charged with corporate espionage and stealing state secrets. And she’s dragged Mia into it all. After being asked to temporarily step away from the company she founded, she creates a dating app because she’s bored. She never expects the results, both monetarily or personally.

Between his seventeen-year-old baseball wunderkind and his sister who has moved in with her four sons to escape her abusive, drug dealing husband, sports agent Axel has his hands full. When he meets Mia at the launch party for her new app, he never expected to meet a woman so into baseball as he is. Now to sort everything out, even his heart.

While this is a new series, many of the characters have been in previous books, especially her Tech Billionaires storyline. You don’t need to read those books, but it definitely gives Mia’s story a richer experience.
I love strong women characters and Mia I’d definitely that, but vulnerable as well. Her pairing with Axel, a successful man in his own right but in a very different field, brings out that more playful part of her personality. They are fun as well as sexy, and very appealing. The introduction of the new, young baseball players blends well with previously introduced members of Mia’s circle. I enjoyed it all very much.
My only caveats were the abrupt ending and a lack of closure with a certain part of the plot. While I know it will most likely be cleared up later in the series, I feel like it would have made more sense to finish it now. Regardless, I’m excited to read more from this group of self-made sisters.

Champagne Brunch is the first installment of a wonderful new series about a group of strong, independent women who are there for and look out for each other - the Stiletto Sisters. While there is romance that will sweep you away, the story also highlights the amazing friendship these women share and the loyalty, love, and respect they have for each other. The book has a strong storyline and wonderful characters with such personality and depth that give them an authentic quality. You can't help but fall in love with them. The story draws you in from the first page and does not let go until you are done. Although not having read The Tech Billionaire and Clear Security, I had no trouble following and enjoying this story. A really great story that I am happy to recommend!

I really loved Mia! She was brilliant and strong, and yet still vulnerable with certain things. I loved Axle, too, but he did disappoint with believing what he read on the internet. This story follows follows what happened in Showdown from the Tech Billionaires series. Not only was that an excellent book (and series), but to really get the full picture I recommend reading that series first!
I have to say that I also really loved Jeremy! He was sweet and naive, and completely adorable! The was Axle was with his young players was heart melting! I do wish that Jeremy’s stalker issue was resolved. I kept wondering what was going on with that throughout the book and it was never really addressed again.

If you've ever read an Ainsley St. Claire book, you've already read this book. If you haven't, what are you waiting for. Excellent female characters that are strong, smart and successful. This is also the case with Mia in this story. She doesn't take anything off anybody and is just fine playing with the big boys. In fact it's hard to meet a guy when most of them are scared off. Axel isn't! He's man enough to take on Mia. There are complications and problems that may be insurmountable and they'll have to pull together for an HEA, which does happen. This is a standalone but you'll definitely benefit from reading the previous book. You won't want to put it down, so plan ahead. (This one is worth taking a day off so you can finish it!)

Mia's ex-best friend murdered another friend's wife. As such, Mia has taken a leave of absence from the company where she was CEO. Shortly afterward, she meets Alex (a baseball recruiter who doesn't have serious relationships).

This Sports Romance is admirable. The main characters have genuine sexual chemistry from the start, upon which they develop a closer relationship. The external forces (i.e., the developing case against the former friend) provide color and segue into the inevitable break in the relationship. The makeup shows the humanity of the main characters. The end is sweet.

Entertaining. Happily Ever After. Romantic. Steamy. Tragic. Unpredictable. Whimsical. Wonderful characters.

Mia’s story was an excellent one to start off the new Stiletto Sisters series. These girls may not be actual sisters, but are closer than most sisters are. They have a bond that runs deep and are there to pick each other up in their tie of need.
This book picked up where the last series left off. Vivianna is going to trial and Mia is being subpoenaed and with her position as CEO is on the line. Meeting and becoming involved with Axel, she realizes he knows nothing about her life and while she finds it refreshing, she knows it won’t last. Axel was my hero. With a knee jerk reaction, once he steps back, he just hopes it is not too late to win her back.

Complex & detailed & another reconnection with familiar & much loved characters...
This author continues to be consistently great at crafting compelling stories incorporating new to the limelight heroes & heroines & folk we've come to admire from previous novels. I won't detail the story but it was riveting, full of suspense, drama, espionage, danger, brutality & some tender sexy loving & underpinning everything were friendships that are stronger than family. Can't recommend this highly enough & whilst it could read as a standalone I'd recommend getting your hands on all the related series to understand the bigger picture. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

Never disappointed with Ainsley St Claire's stories and this one is no exception! If you've read any of her previous books, I don't need to say anymore and if you haven't, be prepared to get swept up in this great story. No spoilers in this review.

The characters are strong, well developed, easy to get to know and enjoyable. The chemistry and attraction between them is definite and at times leaps off the pages. The story is well written, captivating and perfect for a weekend or evening spent curled up on the couch with a good book.

Love this series

Thank you for continuing the series with the Stiletto Sisters. I was happy with the way the first series ended not knowing it carries over into this series. I am soooo hooked on it. Such intrigue, suspense, love and sex. I love the descriptions of the people, businesses, scenery and those active little boys (Alex's nephews). I could see the food stains on Alex's couch, in my head. I'm looking forward to read book two. I've must say I had been a little put off reading lately until I saw an ad on Facebook for the combined first series, these books created the spark I needed to get reading again. Thank you. Mia Couture is a female billionaire who is not only smart but beautiful. She is the CEO of a Fortune 50 company. She has a group of friends they call the Stiletto Sisters. All are billionaires who have trouble finding men because they are smart and attractive. Mia has a lot going on in her life when she meets Axel Remington. He is a sports agent who represents some baseball players. Baseball is Mia's passion. They meet and start dating. They each have complications in their lives. The characters were interesting as were the problems they were facing. I loved the other characters in the book. I will definitely read more books in this series.

I just can't get enough of Ms. St. Claire's tech billionaires, and now, the focus on the successful women! This is Mia's story! The numbers gal!

Axel never thought there would be a woman who loved baseball as much as he did! Well, that has changed!

I love that Axel gets to know Mia without checking social media or Googling her! But things happen, and research can't be avoided! Uh oh!

Plenty of action both in and out of the bedroom!

Can't wait to read the next in The Stiletto Sisters series!

I struggled for how many stars to give this book. I really enjoyed the story, but the baseball stuff was full of inaccuracies. I deducted a star just for that. I honestly don't know if anyone who hasn't read anything from this author before would do with this, because so much of the story falls back to so many other books. Since I've read them all, I followed easily. I liked Mia more than I expected, and I really liked axle for her and with her. I hope they remain front and center as this series continues.

The Complications Of Falling In Love -

Although this is a new series, there were some characters from the Tech Billionaires and the Clear Security series here and I love to visit with them again! It was great to see a close group of successful women entrepreneurs having each others back. I really enjoyed Axel and Mia - they had amazing chemistry and hit it off from the start. It was a fun twist to bring in baseball to the story to mix it up with the millionaire tech side. If you like a little intrigue, romance and heat, this is the book for you. I look forward to more of the series!

5 out of 5 stars
This series is starting out with a bang. Mia is a strong, numbers gal. Love she knows so much about baseball. I love this author's books because she always has a really good deep story along with all the hot steamy sex. Can't wait for the next book. Highly recommend this story.

Who better for each other than two who love baseball and stats of any kind. Axel is a sports agent and Mia has a very influential company that due to a few bad situations, her board is ousting her for a while. She starts FLIRT app for dating using her same algorithm. At the release party, they meet and sparks start to fly. Loved the characters an the storyline. A few surprises and twists keep the background story going while the romance is exploding. Loved the ending. Well done.
