Ever since Ellie and Sean found their HEA in book one, I've been excited for James and Zara's story in book two, and I was not disappointed! Even though James and Zara's relationship begins unconventionally, their attraction and chemistry is hard to deny, and they end up being exactly what the other needs.
I loved that there was more drama in this sequel (as that was what I was missing in the first book). I loved how sweet and protective James was towards Zara and how Zara supported James without question. Their road to love was not easy as James is constantly in the spotlight, but Zara finds strength in her love for James while James finds his place by her side. I've come to love and look forward to this series so much, and I cannot wait for Charlotte's book next ♡

Reckless Royal was a fantastic story with a modern spin on arranged marriage. Readers get to watch as the "playboy prince" falls for a woman he was sure he'd never be interested in.
You sometimes hear the term "the heir and the spare" when it comes to royalty, and for James, he had lived his life as "the spare." Because he wasn't being groomed for the crown, he seemed to be drifting through life with no purpose, often finding himself getting in trouble. Especially when it came to the women who always seemed to be interested in him. Until things change and he's destined to be the next king. Cue the appearance of Zara, the woman he must marry. She doesn't fawn all over him like other women, and she sees past his public image.
Emily Silver is a talented writer who can engage her readers from the very first sentence of her story. Once I started this novel, it was hard to stop, and I enjoyed every moment of it. I loved seeing Zara and James fall for each other, and hurt for them both when the inevitable black moment came. I'm so thankful this book is part of a series, because I'm looking forward to spending more time with the cast of characters!

I’m not British but you can go ahead and count me a loyal subject of Prince James and Lady Zara. Really, the entire royal family that the author brings to life is everything you would want a royal family to be, except for maybe the whole arranging James and Zara to be married, but that ends up working so well so I will forgive the Queen. I don’t read a lot of modern day royalty stories, but I was interested in this one right from the start and I imagine what they go through in this book is very close to real life.
It took me a few chapters to warm up to Prince James, but once we see him show Zara the sides of himself the world didn’t get to see, I was all in for him. It was hard to imagine that he was ever the guy at the beginning of the book; he was somehow so sweetly vulnerable yet charming, as he tries to come into his own as the future king. Zara was his perfect match, believing in him when he felt no one else did and helping him to become the person she knew he could be. Zara is really everything I would think a future Queen should be. I was sure she would put up more of a fight in the beginning at the arranged marriage, but I’m glad that there wasn’t much focus on that and instead we jump right into them getting to know each other because once they were all in they were so good together and the passion between them was extra extra 🔥. There isn’t a lot of angst but that doesn’t mean I didn’t tear up when things weren’t looking good for them, but rest assured they get an amazing HEA.
I didn’t read the first book of the series and I definitely didn’t feel like I missed anything by jumping into Reckless Royal, although it would be great to go back and read it when I have the chance, just to read James’ sisters story. This was my first book by Emily Silver and I’m looking forward to more!

Reckless Royal will make you believe in Prince Charming again.
I had a feeling I'd fall in love with this book since I was obsessed with the first book in the series (Royal Reckoning) but Jamie and Zara became my new favorite.
Jamie, now thrust into the media spotlight and getting ridiculed for his behavior is determined to turn it around before his mother, the Queen, gets involved. It's just happens a little too late as she takes it into her own hands and arranges a marriage of convenience for her son. Zara, a music teacher at a local school is the perfect candidate to turn her son around.
Besides the book being centered on Jamie and Z, you will love all the side characters too! They will have you laughing and crying!
I don't want to give anything away, but I promise you will fall in love with this book too!!

Cute, quick, easy read. Grabbed this one as a freebie on Amazon one day and would recommend doing so if you ever see it!
My favourite part about this was that while yes an arranged marriage is the plan, these two actually start dating and fall for each other before that, not after. I suppose in a weird way that made it feel more genuine?
Where this one lost me a bit was in the climax/conclusion of the story. I’m fine with the drama that occurred, but it was more so how the characters reacted to it that annoyed me based on what we had seen so far. Then how this was so neatly packaged up into a perfect bow one chapter later. I wanted a more thought out resolution, but alas, we can’t always get what we want.
I do love Royal storylines, so not a bad choice for that!

When the spare becomes the heir. Ever since I finished Elle’s story, Royal Reckoning, I have been waiting for James’ story and it did not disappoint. As an anglophile, I love anything based around the Royal family and I love this family.
After abdicating the throne, this leaves James as the future King of England. Never thinking he would ever be in this position, he was the Playboy Prince. Deciding enough is enough, the Queen arranges a marriage for James to help turn his image around to set him straight. Zara is a fresh breath of air for James and the two develop a friendship that turns into more.
To be honest, I had no idea what the storyline was. Emily Silver has become an instant read author for me. I loved that this was an arranged marriage that turned into a friends to lovers storyline. James and Zara were both pushed into this and made the best out of the situation. Their love story was sweet and super steamy. I loved James and his personality. Such a good guy that was hiding behind his playboy image. Zara grew so much as a person in this book and she quickly became one of my favorites. I totally fell for England’s Playboy Prince, James is swoon worthy and such a good guy.

Bloody brilliant! This book is amazing from beginning to end. It has it all...royals, arranged marriage, fake fiance, romance, London and a little family drama. Seriously y'all need Zara & James in your lives. Holy smokes. I was alternately laughing, sighing, gasping, swooning, sobbing, fanning myself and hissing. The sparks, the chemistry, the snark, the love, the lust. It is the pick me up everyone needs right now! Reckless Royal is book #2 in Emily Silver’s Royals series. I can’t wait for Charlotte’s story (book #3). I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Zara and James do not have the best first meeting but once the paparazzi scare her, James is determined to protect her and as they spend time together they realize they actually have a connection that is stronger than either expected.
James and Zara's story is great. I loved how Zara was able to tame the Playboy Prince by just treating him like James and not Prince James. There was so much more to James than I thought there would be and I loved how much he grew up and started taking life seriously. I was happy to get an update on Ellie and Sean. This is my first book by this Author and I was not disappointed. I have definitely added a new Author to my list of must read.Reckless Royal: An Ainsworth Royals Story (The Ainsworth Royals Book 2) is James and Zara’s story. It was heartwarming and I love how their relationship was a partnership in all ways. Zara was able to help James see his full potential instead of just a playboy. “Even on the days I doubt myself, I never have any doubts about you. Or us.”
I can not wait to read more in this series and by this author.

Reckless Royal is a cute, quick and easy read and is the second book in the Ainsworth Royal Story series by Emily Silver. It is an arranged marriage story that can be read as a stand alone, but best read after Royal Reckoning. Once Princess Eleanor gave up any right to the throne (book 1), it’s fall her her twin, Prince James to take up the mantle. Up until this point, James has been living his life as a playboy, but when he can’t get his act together quick enough his mother, the Queen steps in secure a marriage for him with someone who couldn’t be his more polar opposite.
Emily Silver hits it out of the park again! This story has it all. Super entertaining while sweet, romantic, and super smexy all at the same time. The characters were just wonderful and despite the awkwardness surrounding how their upcoming engagement came to be, they really make an effort to make their relationship work. At first, they seem like opposites - James gravitates toward the spotlight, but Zara hates it. But James just can’t seem to shake his attraction toward her no matter how much he tries to fight it. He finds her sweet and full of life and the attraction for both of them burns white hot! The smexy times in this book are 🔥🔥🔥. I can’t wait to read the next book!

This is the second book in The Ainsworth Royals series, which can be read as a stand-alone but would be much better read as part of the series. I read this book so quickly because I just couldn’t put it down.
James is not one for following the rules. He’s abit of a playboy and thanks to the paparazzi everyone knows this. As he has only recently became the heir to the throne he is struggling to reign it in and seriously commit to his royal duties.
His mother, The Queen has realised he is in no way prepared to become king and takes it upon herself to strike a deal with The Duke, Zara’s father.
James and Zara start off as an arrangement but it soon becomes clear there’s a spark. From their first date you can feel the chemistry and cheeky rapport between them.
Being linked to a Royal and constantly in the public eye, Zara finds it is very difficult to keep any aspect of her life private. She has to decide if this is something she can overcome or is it all too much for her.
I loved reading James and Zara’s story and how the love that blossomed between them exceeded what they were expecting. I also love that as the book goes on you see that beneath the facade James is such a warm and kindhearted person and Zara has helped bring that to the surface.

James has just made front page news for some extremely questionable photos in a club. He's known as the playboy prince. He was the spare, not the heir so no one has ever expected anything else of him. Now that his sister has abdicated the thrown James is suddenly the heir not the spare. Zara is the daughter of a Duke and music teacher, who lives a quiet life. Everyone talks about the playboy prince and his wild ways. Zara isn't impressed. When her father and the queen decide the 2 will be married they meet for the 1st time and both are shocked with the news. What the queen wants the queen gets. So they decided to make everyone happy by showing a changed future king in hopes they can get out this arranged marriage at best. At worst in that time they are stalling they can figure out how they can have a peaceful marriage.
Reckless Royal was so good. James and Zara each grow so much will trying to figure out how to be a couple or get out of being a couple.

Gah!!!! Emily did it again! I LOVED James and Zara! I was so excited to read about the "Playboy Prince" and the woman who tamed him.
Prince James earned his nickname as the Playboy Prince from his many women and frequent trips to the club, which is people and press found endearing until James became second to the thrown when his sister renounced her claim.
In an attempt to clean up his image and prepare him for his future, his mother, the queen, arranged a marriage to one of the Duke's daughters, Zara.
Both James and Zara were not excited about the attachment and decided to go along with the plan in hopes of cleaning up James image and forego the marriage. Little did they know they would fall in love along the way. But will Zara be able to handle the pressure and paps that come along with her new love?

Reckless Royal or misunderstood Prince? James is thrown into focusing more on being a responsible Royal now that he is no longer the spare. He takes his job serious but his people still hope to see him slip and be the playboy they have come to know. I absolutely loved the character development Emily took with James between Royal Reckoning and Reckless Royal. James goes from playboy/ sweet brother to responsible Prince and lover, it will make your happily ever after heart sing. I feel in love with James in his sister's book Royal Reckoning and just when I thought I couldn't love him more Emily Silver surprises me AGAIN! I love that she paired him with Zara a strong willed heroine who will do what her country needs her to do but with her dignity still intact. If you love Royal reads you'll love this book. Don't walk, run and get you a copy of Reckless Royal. You'll be happy you did.

James has been living life as the spare to his sister's heir status, so basically, he's causing all kinds of scandal with his life. See, his sister fell for a commoner & gave up her place in line so now James needs to step it up, which is where his mother steps in. She picks Lady Zara for an arranged marriage since James needs a good woman to ground him but neither are very happy about it. It doesn't take too long before Zara is growing on James with her gentle spirit & big heart with a kicker of not putting up with his antics, and they absolutely have chemistry developing into undeniable levels. However, this is about the throne so there is some intrigue to add to the mix with drama coming at them since he can't stay out of the press. And while it was a bit slow for me at the beginning, it picked up quite a bit to the point that I was turning pages quickly so hit those one click buttons so you don't miss out on Reckless Royal! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I was a bit hesitant to start this book. I LOVED the first, and the sweetness that came with it. The playboy prince? Seemed a bit overdone, but I was SO wrong. So, so, so wrong. I loved these characters. Zara being so self-assured, confident, and willing to stand up to James.
And James... let's start the swoon fest. His date-plans, the way hes protective of Zara even if he didn't think his feelings were there at the start. It was perfection from start to finish.
I also loved the cameos from Ellie and the butt-kicking she gives her brother! I cant wait for the third book now!

I am recklessly in love with this royal book! Emily Silver has written another fabulous romance! James and Zara were such a fun couple to swoon over and fall in love with. If you love royal romances, (and an arranged marriage trope) you need to read this book!
James has been notorious named the "playboy prince." It had never really been an issue until his twin sister Ellie, renounced her title to the throne. Now James is the crowned prince and needs to clean up his image. (according to his dear Queen mum) Zara is the daughter of a Duke and loves teaching music at a local school. James and Zara are completely blindsided and are arranged to be married. I loved the chemistry between James and Zara. James and Zara have a rocky start, but then James...gah James is so swoon-worthy with his devotion to Zara! Not to mention, I adore the confidence that Zara gains throughout the book!

I loved this series. James is known as the playboy prince. Zara’s father is a duke. A marriage arrangement has thrown them together. I can’t wait to read the next book.

What a delightful royal romance by Emily Silver. This is the second book in the series that can be read as a stand alone. Prince James grew up being the spare to his sister Elle. Elle fell in love and abdicated her place his line putting James next in line to the throne. James was used to being able to party, womanize and seemed to enjoy life. The Paparazzi changed direction and now instead of laughing at his antics they were attacking his behavior. The Queen gets fed up and decides to take matters in her own hands. Lady Zara is daughter to a Lord and is a music teacher at a local school. She is quiet, shy and very into her music. Her father and the queen come to an arrangement to marry the two. James and Elle become determine to not fall in love. I really enjoyed the book and read in one sitting. It is a heartwarming tale of overcoming obstacles and falling in love. Can't wait for the next in the series.

I have never read this author before but this book was crazy good in the best kind of way and I absolutely adored it. It was very fun and romantic and its one of those stories that I will re-read over and over again.
It is book 2 in a series but I never read the first book and I never felt like I missed anything by not reading the first book. That said if you did read the first book, this is a story about Ellie's twin brother who now that she abdicated, is now set to be King of Britain. Growing up he was the spare heir and now he is the heir who will be king one day and well his wild lifestyle has made his mother, the queen take drastic steps.
The queen has a plan to reign in her wild son and that plan is Lady Zara, whose father needs money and so her father and the queen enter in a betrothal contract. I adored every second of the scene when Prince James meets Zara for the first time at tea. I loved his reaction and her reaction and a friendship is born.
In this story we see a friendship born that leads to more feelings and all the fun stuff with being royalty but we also get to see all tthe negative parts as well. Zara is pretty much a sweet and kind woman and she faces the rabid press when her and James start spending time together.
I loved that we get to see them both fall for each other in a slow burn story that takes them from friendship to love and we also see the absolute trust and respect they have for each other and how they are always honest with each other.
This was a novella sized story but I absolutely adored every minute of this very enchanting story.

James is a Prince and younger to his sister Ellie, by a very slight margin. He has been overlooked as a potential candidate to the top position in the Royal United Kingdom Court as all the attention, focus and special needs have been trusted upon Ellie, in her role as Crown Princess.

So James who's scandalous conduct has literally been plastered in the tabloids is now "It" and the Queen has had it with his shenanigans. She gives him a choice. " Shape up or I will shape you up."
Zara is the daughter of the Duke of Kendall. Having lost her mother at a young age, she inherited her mother's passions as well as determinations to make her dreams a reality. In love with music, she is a teacher at the Conservatory where she transmits her love of music to her students. Faced with students that would rather play Pop music all the time instead of broadening their horizons with all types of music's, she has achieved a level in the negotiation art. Simply put, she loves her life and has never held herself above others because of her family heritage that she never uses except when her dear father needs her.
One of these occasions presents itself when the Duke, her father, asks her to accompany him on a special outing without divulging their destination. The main characters are quite enjoyable as they discover eachother and take on a new life filled with all types of challenges that can best be met as a team and not individually.
She takes the reader, with her special gift, on a journey through the world of the Monarchy, it's constraints, lack of privacy, love of the Kingdom's people, constant scrutiny by the scoop searchers as well as the lowest of the low who will hesitate at nothing to invade the couple's intimacy. The book also explores the discovery of love between two persons of different upbringing and the effect that they end up having on eachother 's growth process.
It deserves so much more but this reader is limited to a maximum of 5 Stars for this must read book that I highly recommend as I look forward to reading the sequel.

This was a sweet whirlwind type romance
The story is fast paced. Everything moved along really quickly and I flew through the pages. Their romance happened so unexpectedly and fast. Everything was going really well for them that I couldn't help but wait for the other shoe to drop. I kept thinking of what was going to happened to cause this to come to screeching halt.
I thought it would be another woman at first. I was expecting some type of either miscommunication or 'not what it looks like' situation. Or someone making her out to be something else someone he couldn't trust like maybe bringing it up about her father needing money and her using him for the crown's money. But then he had trusted her so much and their relationship was so good, I really didn't expect this to break them up.
I did not expect what did break them up though. Okay - It crossed my mind a few times that this could happen. I really didn't think it would end it though. I thought she'd be stronger.
I really liked this sweet romance. It was a good change from what I normally read. No triggers. No real bullshit to deal with. No extra drama. Just a good love story.

He is determined to show the world, and his mother, the Queen, he is ready to take on the responsibility that comes with being King. Zara is content to teach her music students and looks forward to her time alone, writing music, but she is stuck.
James and Zara never expected to fall in love when their parents made their arrangement, but it didn’t take long for them to realize they were fighting their feelings to stay mad at their parents and the situation they had been thrust into.
