"This book is about my penis. This is my story of going through lower surgery, specifically phalloplasty, and the adventures I have with my changing genitals along the way. Welcome to my journey."

After coming out as trans, Finlay Games was adamant lower surgery would not be a part of his transition, but as the years went by, and his gender dysphoria increased, he decided to explore surgical options. Detailing the emotional and physical journey of phalloplasty, this book takes the reader through Finlay's experiences, from the initial decision-making through each stage of the surgery to its completion, recovery and after-care. Describing how he had to relearn his body, sexuality and his relationships, Finlay shares his wealth of advice and tips on donor site options, different types of surgery, the referral process, essential items and resources, and looking after your mental health.

Part memoir, part self-help guide, this insightful, witty and deeply honest book highlights the life-changing impact surgery can have for trans people and provides hope to those on a similar journey.

An informative and practical guide on 'bottom surgery' for trans masculine people. Finn's writing style keeps you wanting to read just another page over and over until you've run out!

If you know nothing about phalloplasty, or think you know about it (like I did) then you will learn from Finn's honest reflection.

A must read for trans masculine people, those who love them as well as cis people - as a way to highlight what some trans people go through in order to feel safe and comfortable in their own skin.

'Top to Bottom' is a beautifully touching and intimate human story, where one man navigates his spiritual and physical journey to become the person he was always meant to be. Written in true Finn style, this is an evolutionary journey toward Self Actualization.

This book is written from the author's first hand experience. It is very educational and serves as an outstanding resource for trans people, trans allys, and for people in the medical field who offer transgender services. This book is an incredibly supportive companion for any person seeking to explore lower surgery. It is a fine example for anyone who understands the importance of being true to one's Self. There are moments in the book such as 'dark wednesday', which he so aptly refers to, that will make you cry and capture your heart strings, and moments where you are cheering Finn on in his quest to create new pathways in communicating with the medical field in order to carve out the understanding of the necessity, quality and importance of trans rights in society.

I cannot speak highly enough of the thoroughness and indepth detail that Finlay shares of his journey. The author leaves no stone left unturned, as he takes us on a journey from start to finish, exploring the highs and lows, of gender confirmation surgery.

Finlay Games is an exquisitely talented writer. When it comes to 'Top to Bottom', Finn states that he wanted to write a book that he wished he had access to when he was going through the lower surgery process, and he has, without doubt kept his promise, inviting the reader into his world where he discusses aspects of lower surgery that has not been spoken about before, to this degree. I highly recommend this book. It is captivating and a must read for everyone.
