When you notice a pretty stranger on the streets, chances are you’ll never meet them again. You’ll just walk by and continue your normal flow of life... Axel’s pipe dream of seeing his pretty stranger again is, for better or worse, met with an extra package.
I can't believe it's been over two years since I started reading this Webtoon, and it's finally come to an end? Admittedly, I will miss reading this story every week, but even the greatest of love stories come to an end. The narrator claims the story might be mundane and forgettable, but when it comes to the greatest of love, who could ever forget the strongest of bonds? If you are looking for a simple slow burn love story with the most realistic of challenges and the greatest of achievements, Lemon Soda and Coffee is the story for you.
se você quer uma história extremamente fofa, que aborda muitos temas difíceis de maneira impecável e madura, leia isso (tá no WebToon). ou se você precisa de um abraço em forma de história.
After listening to 4 dark or depressing audiobooks in a row, this modern romance web comic (on Webtoon) is a perfect palette cleanser. Shy and awkward Axel becomes nextdoor neighbors with single mom Mei and her 3-year-old son Milo. This story is so sweet. I wish it was available in print. I spent about $25 to read it all in under a week, but if you're patient you can currently read 4 parts per day, w/ 3 short ads. I was not patient.
Sometimes I feel like we forget that love can be healthy sweet experience. That there can be heat without toxicity. This was one of the sweetest love stories I have had the pleasure to read. There was a bit of drama of course but it all goes back to the care and love of our main characters. Just read it already.
Language: mild. I read it before I started writing content reviews, but I don't remember any language. It's very mild at worst.
Violence: none.
Sex/Nudity: Two characters sleep together, though nothing more is shown or even talked about. Kissing. Marriage.
LGBTQ+ Content: Two side characters are in a gay relationship. They are shown kissing and we see flashbacks of when they fell in love.
Other: Single parent. Toxic relationships mentioned.
My Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is such a sweet and heart-warming story, and very clean for an adult romance. An introverted accountant meets a kind single mother, and both get a second chance at love. The characters are so lovable, and they grow a lot throughout the story.
This story is available to read for free on Webtoons.com. Please be aware that while this series is pretty clean, ads with inappropriate content may appear on the site or app.

2.5-3.5 stars, rounded to three because apparently I liked this enough to binge to the end
Things I liked: -gorgeous art style; soft, emotional, and pretty -strong plot -good pacing, drama sense -the conveying of trauma was done well; no unnecessary detail or over-dramatizing small issues
Things I didn't like: -only one thing, but it was enough that it stayed with me to the entire time: -there were no men in the story; everyone was female in their actions (not feminine, but determinedly female), in that everyone settled disagreements, arguments, or general conflicts in the same way (confessing feelings, most often hesitantly, and everything was fixed or on its way to being fixed as a result)
The sole reason I didn’t give this webtoon 5 stars is because I didn’t want it to end. Watching Axel and Mei’s journey, both as individuals and together romantically, was absolutely adorable to see and I enjoyed every bit of it; especially with precious Milo by their side the entire way. Also, meeting Axel’s friends: Lloyd and Brandon, then Axel and Mei’s families, added such lovely side characters to an already great story.
I loved this. This is fluff, this is good. I don't really know what to say, other than the fact that I absolutely adore Milo and that if I were ever to have kids, I would want them to be like this. Great webtoon that had me smiling all the way through.
I love this webtoon! I hope they make a printed version. There's a great balance of overcoming struggle and just wholesome goodness. It's nice to see healthy relationships modeled.
This is a very sweet story, I'm not usually one for much romance but it was a really great read. I can't believe it's over already! The characters are very lovable, they work through some really difficult problems but it's wholesome and uplifting. Would highly recommend to pretty much anyone :))
