N.R. Walker is an Australian author, who loves her genre of gay romance. She loves writing and spends far too much time doing it, but wouldn't have it any other way.

She is many things; a mother, a wife, a sister, a writer. She has pretty, pretty boys who she gives them life with words.

She likes it when they do dirty, dirty things...but likes it even more when they fall in love. She used to think having people in her head talking to her was weird, until one day she happened across other writers who told her it was normal.

She’s been writing ever since...

This was a very light, sweet and enjoyable read.

I really liked Michael and Bryson, both as individual characters and as a couple. I quite enjoyed the beginning of their story, but it's the middle part that I loved the most. This author writes relationship development and interactions between characters so well. I loved watching their arrangement turn into something more. The pacing was perfect and I felt like I was there with them, every step of the way.

The last part was a bit underwhelming for me.

My niggles aside, I had fun reading this. I also really liked Bryson's group of friends and Michael's parents seemed really nice, . I wish we got more scenes with them.

Complications could sometimes turn into the best thing to ever happen to you. Sometimes it was a train and you were stuck on the tracks and it was gonna hurt like a bitch. And sometimes that train wore vintage band T-shirts and a beautiful smile and derailed your life anyway.

I can see how and why Bossy is a favorite of many, but it disappointed me a little right from the beginning.

True N.R. Walker, Bossy follows the story of two young men who have a one night stand together, but what happens when one leads to another, and another, and one after another? Michael and Bryson didn't expect each other to fall in love when they agreed to spending Friday nights together. The rules were simple: no names, no complications, no strings attached, just sex. But after one night following another, the two find themselves in a situation of romantic feelings and not only lust. And when their personal lives crash with their professional lives, it becomes much more difficult for the two to stay away from each other.

Maybe saying the beginning is a little too dramatic, but if I remember correctly, it took 20% for me to realize where the relationship was going and how quick it felt for me. While I knew this featured two characters having a one night stand (that led to another and another), I didn't expect the romantic feelings and attraction to develop so quickly. It felt a little too unrealistic for me and it was difficult to believe that at 20%, one character was already wondering if the other was seeing someone else. I've mentioned before how I can stand insta-love much more than insta-lust, but even then, insta-love is difficult to completely comprehend and accept entirely. While this didn't exactly have either (especially considering the central plot device is one night stand), I always expect the characters to develop as a couple in a steady pace. However, it felt like this book lacked that component because of how much intercourse followed. While it isn't something I'm complaining about, it became the reason for my lack of enjoyment of the overall relationship between Michael and Bryson.

Adding on to that, because of how much intercourse the two had, it was difficult for me to accept the way the two were falling for each other. It was 30% in when he was “missing his voice” and “it sounds to me like you're falling in love.” The reason this ticked me off was because it felt to me like the two still were not in the status of knowing enough about each other to fall in love with each other. I know the story is short and you can’t expect much to happen, but I still would have liked to be told something about their relationship, such as things they did together (!(besides sex) that would make the love believable. The chemistry between them felt purely sexual, and while the sexual tension was also there, the romantic chemistry felt lacking. Besides Bryson knowing Michael's name (while Michael still didn't know Brysons), the two had only spent time together sexually and spent some time after sex talking to each other. Although the relationship does develop and they do spent some time together (non sexually), I would hate preferred it happened before they started catching “feelings.”

This being my third N.R. Walker book, I already have an idea of what I'm getting myself into. Little to almost no angst, fluffness all around, some of the best and most supportive friendships that are also realistically portrayed, either parents who will get on your nerves or parents who every queer child deserves, acceptance of identity and sexual orientation, little to no drama, and, overall, positivity. That is exactly what I got here, and I loved it. However, the difference between Bossy and the two previous books I've read from Walker (The Weight of It All and her Pieces of Us trilogy), is that Bossy had some drama added to it. I didn't mind this, especially because it did feel connected to a central theme of the book and Bryson's character, but I thought it could have developed better. Considering the book is short, not much can be added, but I also thought there could have been some angst or some sort of extra drama added. It felt like it was only added as a plot device for no reason, not only with the execution of it but also how it was solved. It felt too simple and easy to handle.

Love was a devastatingly wonderful thing.

These two quibbles faltered my enjoyment, but I still enjoyed other aspects of the book.

I loved how Bryson was determined to start and set his own business and make his goals reality. I loved how he wanted to be seen for who he was and not who his name was. Being the son of one of the riches men in Australia, Bryce has a reputation, and one he's expected to uphold. But Bryce didn't want to follow his father's footsteps and become the next owner of Schroeder Hotels, and I admired his determination to set up his own dreams instead. I love flawed characters, characters who come from backgrounds where they need to work their way up very hard, but I also love characters who are given silver platters yet don't want the help.

In this case, Bryson was offered everything one could ask for, one where he would not need to work too much for, but he didn't take it, and I thought this was a real portray of what it's like to set your own goals and boundaries. His father thought it would make him happy, but his father also didn't know Bryson well enough to know. This reminds me of how common parental neglect is in the U.S., especially from immigrants. Because of the amount of time they need to dedicate to work, sometimes parents don't have time to spend with their children, and while they watch them grow, sometimes the parental figure their kids need isn't there. This applies to Bryson and his father, and how because his father was so busy with work (flying from one place to another, attending business, maintaining a reputation, etc), he didn't have time to spend with Bryson. Even Bryson mentions this to him. While thankful he has a roof over his head and food in the fridge, he reminds his father that he was never a parent. He didn't help him with his school homework and projects, teach him how to drive, how to ride a bicycle, and more.

I didn’t want to dedicate my life to my father’s business. That was his passion, not mine. I was proud of all he’d done and everything he’d accomplished. But I wanted something that was mine. I wanted to build my own dreams, and it was time. It honestly felt that if I didn’t do it now, I never would.

Adding on to that, while the romance felt unrealistic to me for most of the beginning, I started appreciating it a little more. So far, it's definitely the hottest book from Walker that I have read. Since Bryson and Michael have a one night stand that leads to another and another, there was constant sex, and I'm glad it wasn't all off-page. Not only that, but the two did develop as a couple, and I found myself smiling and laughing at their banter, but also appreciating the small and sweet moments they started having, such as all the cuddling that followed, how they cooked together, the small and tender kisses they gave each other, and how they spent time together outside of their homes, which let them get to know each other better.

He took control of every move, of every thrust. He played my body like a harp, plucking at chords I didn’t know I had, playing the sweetest song I’d ever heard.

I've noticed that Walker's books are generally positive, and while I haven't read all her works, I've been told she's a queen of fluff, and I expect nothing else. Her books are much more enjoyable if you're in the mood for positive friendships, low-angst, loving families, supportive systems (especially about the character's sexual orientations), and no drama. Considering this had a family member who may or may not get on your nerves and a small hint of drama that I didn't think was necessary, it was still enjoyable for the most part. In my opinion, anyone who is thinking about reading N.R. Walker should go into her books when you've drained yourself reading.

Although I want to savor Walker's books slowly, I feel like it's impossible when I've been in the mood to read nothing but m/m romance, but also because I've been in the mood for happy books, and that's exactly what her books have been. I'm excited to make my way through her backlist.

“You push me to do better, and to be better. But for the right reasons. You want me to be happy.”

Sexy, romantic, low on the angst, high on the sweetness, Bossy is a typical Walker book (and I mean that in the best way possible).

I loved both MCs, even though Michael's "don't tell me your name" shtick got kind of old.

Their surprise meeting was all kinds of adorable, and I was happy it didn't change the trajectory of the story.

I was expecting more tension, but the only conflict was that Bryce's dad, James, was critical of his son and considered Michael to be a distraction. Michael's reaction to James's directive seemed completely out of character though.

These are small complaints though. I enjoyed this story and the cupcakes and rainbows HEA.

This is an absolute classic N.R. contemporary romance, filled with humour and heat.

I loved the Fourth Wall introduction to the book which we hear from Michael, the Mr Bossy of the title.

It acts as a sort of Prologue, it's a bit like the equivalent of a narrator's voiceover giving the reader the pertinent facts before the story begins.

I'm sure some people won't be keen but, for me, bracketing the main elements with Michael's words direct to the reader really worked.

It set the scene for what turns into an absolute belter of a contemporary romcom which would make a brilliant film.

From the moment our two guys meet, it's clear the "casual sex once a week" arrangement isn't going to happen.

They just click, the sex is on fire, definitely one of Nic's hottest books, but it's also surprisingly emotional from the off too. They connect in mind and spirit as well as physically.

With a bunch of interesting tension points coming from external sources, it makes the romance the prime focus without any overly dramatic plot points chucked in.

I would have liked to see another scene with them and Michael's family, the brief one we get is hilarious, and my only other comment would be that I felt both read slightly older than their ages (26 for Bryson, two years older for Michael).

But that's not to say it spoiled anything because it didn't. I liked their maturity and it didn't feel out of character.

With a smashing group of friends and a very solidly Aussie setting, this one was a delight.

This was so light, sweet and adorable and the best fluff. This would be a perfect read if you needed a pick me up.

It starts out as sex between Michael and Bryce, our two MC's, but in true Walker fashion, they can't help but fall in love eventually and the story is more about their romance than anything, and it's just so sweet and adorable and they're so in love that you just have to swoon at their sweetness.

Michael and Bryce meet at a bar, and both are just looking for some no strings, casual sex. They don't even give each other their names. But the sex is so good and there is just a little something more there that has them coming back for more week and after week.

And eventually they find out each other's names and who they are and it pretty soon becomes something that they can't deny is something - and it already was becoming something, even without knowing each other's names and much personal details - and they almost seamlessly fall into dating each other, and falling in love.

There is some slight drama with Bryce's father near the end, but it wasn't too dramatic and was able to be solved fairly quickly. Because other than that this is basically like a fluff fest and I loved it.

These two just have total heart eyes for each other, and the hook-up they were both determined to just be a meaningless hook up became the exact opposite and it was perfect.

Two thumbs up from me, I highly recommend this. A great new installment from Walker and just the light fluff that I needed, and I'm sure you guys would love too.

This was not what I expected at all! I had a very different idea about the book based on the title, the cover, and even the blurb.

I was sure this was going to be two business-like guys having a fling and telling themselves and each other that they wanted to keep it casual.

But what we got were two very likable men starting out as a hook up but found themselves falling in love instead. I also didn't expect the sweetness of it all.

First of all, these guys had amazing chemistry. I didn't expect to like all the sex scenes, since I mostly skip them these days, but not here. And I also didn't expect to like these guys so much.

Yes, Michael is some hot shot realtor, and Bryce a rich man's son. But Michael was funny, energetic, and sweet. And Bryce was the quieter of the two. The steady, gentle man.

And the two of them just worked. There was banter, hot sex, and lovey dovey tenderness. What more could I want from a book.

This one is just too precious for me. Walker, you made me stupid bump the feeling.

It's been quite a while since I fell for a book this hard and fast.

If this book was a stranger, I would be in real trouble because I just fell in love with it. Like fell for it as it swept me away just when I was a few pages in.

As much as I was enjoying the read, I was finding it difficult to actually control my feelings trying myself to calm down. I don't know how deep I was falling when they were falling for each other.

I have experienced this feeling only while watching a specific Japanese BL series and it's driving me crazy all over again.

The humor, the seriousness, the romance.

Are the Japanese and Thai TV series people listening?

Make a series or a movie adaptation out of this one. Like pretty please.

I cannot stop the feeling. They're just so..... Save me. Like pretty please.

They are so hot yet too fluffy and warm and cute and sweet and blind and wholesome and (I want to cry and laugh!).

One with daddy issues. One with relationship issues.

Both are determined and hardworking. Both are stinking rich. But they want to carve their own niche. And they both deserve each other. Bless you two.

You, you, you.

My heart won't recover from this.

I need more such books, Walker. Like pretty please. You have no idea how I was fluttering, blushing and laughing while reading this one.

As, usual, N.R. Walker delivered a sweet, fluffy and great read. I lover her work that are like this. It's simply nice guys meeting and falling in love. This one however, dragged a little in the middle. It could've been a little shorter without me complaining about it. The only angst came from Bryson's father and it didn't add anything to the story. Overall a great read if you need something light.

Okay, so I obviously confused this book with Sir. I thought this was the Walker book with the BDSM themes… so I avoided it. Silly me. Once I saw Kati’s enticing review last week, though, I realised I’d mixed things up in my head and just knew I had to drop everything to read Bossy right away.

Going in with practically no preconceptions (I hadn’t even read the synopsis) really worked wonders for my enjoyment levels.

The chemistry was off the charts between MCs Michael and Bryce and was my absolute favourite element of the story—a story about two strangers who keep repeating their mind-blowing hook-ups, sans names or vital information, until their hearts start to get involved and their professional lives throw them together in unexpected ways.

These two together were like fire. So much raw, spine-tingling attraction and connection. The sex was HOT, but the emotional, tender moments that came later were even better.

The relationship progression was great, even though it wasn’t what I usually seek out in my romance books. The sex came first, with all the anonymous hook-up moments between nameless Michael and Bryce, but then, slowly but so very surely, the intimacy and longing and all those unexpected feelings developed, and I’m so very glad that they were both smart enough to acknowledge what was happening between them and embrace it all without drama.

This was a sexy, romantic, sugar-sweet, low-angst read, for the most part, and I couldn’t help but devour it as quickly as my time would allow. As such, it’s become an instant favourite among my Walker reads—but I guess that’s not surprising, as most of my Walker reads become favourites.

Oh My God. The nonstop CHUCKLING.

Eighteen pages in, 7 chuckles down, and according to Kindle search, 57 more to go.

57.

And hey, maybe this is just some kind of weird me-thing, but if I was having sex with someone I'd just met, and he kept CHUCKLING while he was fucking me, I would find that more than a wee bit CREEPY. I'd be having some second thoughts. I'd be rethinking the whole sex-with-strangers thing. I'd be having myself some REGRETS.

Chuckling -- suuuuuuper sexy, amiright? ⬇️

THAT’S what I’m talking about when I say NR Walker!
No angst, no plot really, just lovely, sexy, steamy vibes and funny banter and I was HERE for it!

I just can’t get enough of oblivious men that are like ‘but no strings attached and super casual and uncomplicated, yeah?’ but in reality all the strings are super attached and everything’s the opposite of casual and whoops, I guess we’ve been hardcore dating the loves of our life without knowing it all this time. Ah well!
I LOVE THAT SHIT!

I have to agree with Gaby on this: Bossy reminded me A LOT of Jax Calder’s The Anonymous Hookup duo (even though ‘Bossy’ was published first!) and I’m not mad about it, because I loved that too. Could probably go for a reread soon, now that I’m thinking about it.

Anyway, people, the audio for this was SO GOOD! How have I been missing out on Glen Lloyd’s sexy voice all this time?! AND WHY DOESN’T HE NARRATE ALL OF WALKER’S STUFF INSTEAD OF JOEL FREAKIN’ LESLIE?!?! It’s honestly a crime.

I thought the two conflicts with the father and the boss were a bit forced, but that’s the only niggle I have!
All in all: loved it, found me at exactly the right time, had a smile on my face throughout, will definitely listen to again. I’m a happy camper 🥰

Thanks to Sandy for rec’ing this to me and for Patrícia for giving me the final push to start this. Y’all are the best 🫶

Aww that was a really sweet story, featuring one of my fav tropes - hooking up with a stranger. Insta-attraction, low angst, almost no drama.

I loved the writing. It was smooth and playful and I was well entertained.

But also, the plot was not very captivating (for me at least) and I think I might forget about Michael and Bryce rather quickly. But I had a good time while it lasted.

***
For my own enjoyment I close this review with three things I loved, because I love them in general in every book ♡

The moment, one calls the other „baby“ for the first time. I’m such a goner for this particular endearment.

“Are you . . . did I hurt you? Shit, Michael, I—”
The panic that one might have been a little too rough with the other. The care!! *swoon

Another upside was our now-shared wardrobe. I had access to all his band T-shirts and he could wear any of my tight-fitting tailored shirts. It was a win-win, honestly.
And when they wear each other’s clothes *heart eyes

Sexy AF, sweet, fun, low angst! A great way to spend a cold winter day. It put a smile on my face pretty much the whole day. It dragged a little near the end, but I really loved these two.

But I’m going to say this for all authors out there: I am so sick of unnecessary family drama! Why do you do this? Don’t you love us? WHYYYYYY

Man, I would have killed for some actual angst, but that just isn't NR Walker's style. Bossy is hot and sweet and smoooooth sailing. I found I liked the story more before they knew each other's names, than after. The rest was ok, but just too...sweet. Still, an enjoyable read.

I did not see this coming . . . Much like driving a car onto train tracks and getting stuck and looking out the window to see a train thundering toward you, getting closer and closer, and you know you’re gonna hit and you’re gonna hurt, and you’re completely incapable of stopping it.
That’s what it’s like.
Highly traumatic and life-changing. With a dash of possibly wonderful.

I honestly cannot deny you HOW giddy this book made me feel.

This book was written and plotted in way that had such classic romance vibes written all over it. Yes it was predictable and Yes it wasn't anything new or revolutionary, but the chemistry of our male leads was just so authentic, so real and quotable and tangible, I couldn't help hiding my face in my pillow because my brother was looking at me weirdly all while I was bloody trying to not let my fucking grin swallow my face.

I have to say, it was an interesting plot nr walker choose for this book, and that mainly stems from the fact that her books aren't that smutty or erotic or sexy. Her books centers around genuine connection, character development and the beauty two people share and watching them literally turn into one united front and THEN the sexy times.

This book was in reverse so I was interested to see how far walker was going to make this book erotic.

He took control of every move, of every thrust. He played my body like a harp, plucking at chords I didn’t know I had, playing the sweetest song I’d ever heard.

And well... I'll state my opinion on that later.

One of my favorite part of nr walker books is how each of her character has a different voice. This is my 9th book of hers and walker has probably written 20+ give or take, and it never fails to impress me how each of her characters are so subtlety different with a dash of charming and sincerity.

He blinked, his eyes darkening, his breath hitched. “You sure do have a way with words.”
“I know what I want, and I ask for it.”
“You demand it.”
“Same thing.”
The corner of his mouth lifted and he bit down on his bottom lip. “Bossy.”

I liked the first half of this book more, not that the second half was bad but the first half had more of a charm and innocence, YES as compared to their bedroom activities, we spent those first few chapters reading how they both made each other laugh or do small things that are so barely noticeable, the softest of their touches and fine thread of each other closing on the other's vulnerabilities.

There was an elegant beauty in the way of watching their connection grow and mature which had me so incredibly giddy at 2 in the damn morning.

Maybe it was easy to be with him because I knew so little about him. Maybe the no-complication rule made it tangle-free. Maybe my heart rate kicked up a notch when I saw him—when I thought of him—because this whole arrangement was exciting and because I knew the sex was going to be off the charts. Maybe my heart liked the way he laughed or how he kissed or how he would casually touch me. Maybe the butterflies that swarmed my belly were all about anticipation.
Maybe I was fooling myself.

I feel like the second half lost me a little bit because it became more plot focused and more "other people" focused if you understand what I'm trying to say. And I think it's hilarious that as our MC's relationship continue to deepen, the smut just becomes absolutely black and white.

When they were their uncomplicated pairs, smut was great but as the u and the n fade and fade, the smut seems to fade and fade which just has me shaking my head at classic ole nr walker.

I hit the elevator button, and when the doors opened, I almost didn’t recognise the guy in the mirror. His smile was borderline stupid, and he laughed and shook his head.

Regardless, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Walker is my comfort author, her words has the power to calm the anxiety and anxiousness I get every week and her exploration of love never cease to amaze me because wow, I know it's fiction but... who knew love could be that beautiful, huh?

What a remarkable and stupid thing love was.
What a fucking drug. So God help me, I never wanted to come down.

Are you feeling tired and stressed, or buzzing with anxiety?
Have you put on the covid-19 (come on, isn’t everyone “comfort baking” or “comfort eating” these days?) and are feeling bummed or frustrated?
Or have you began the covid-grind (yes, lots of clenching and teeth grinding happening now) and your poor jaw is aching?
Do you need an escape or a carefree slip into another place?
How about a quick break from real life with a guaranteed smile?
Why not have a night in with a cool beverage and a couple of bold and bossy Aussie men?
I mean, who doesn’t love some scorching hot no-strings-attached passion? Raise your hand if sizzling sexual chemistry while studiously agreeing to not bring emotions to the table despite both parties failing and falling fast and furiously in love is your thing…*searches for wiggling fingers*…yeah, same.
It’s totally my thing.
And I couldn’t help but dive and then soar along with them.
Can I tell you just a little bit more?
Yeah? Here goes…

This is not a meet-cute but a meet-absolute. They are absolutely…hilarious, adorable, and on fire. Oh, and the romance is off the charts. When Michael and Bryce cross paths at the bar one night, electricity sparks in the air. Neither are searching for anything permanent, just prowling for some pleasure. And sweet pleasure was it ever. It’s so good, they can’t resist coming back for seconds. Which turns into thirds and fourths and so on. Their professional lives are way too busy to mix in the complications of a relationship. They simply don’t have the time. Michael has one sole focus, his job. He has busted his butt to make it to the top and he intends to stay there. A little stress relief here and there suits him just fine. Bryce is back from his travels with a vision. He plans on making this vision a reality. However, he must devote every waking moment to his new business. More than anything he wants to prove to his father that he can stand on his own two feet. It’s more than a dream, it’s an essential step towards his happiness. It’s horrendous timing for both of them but you know what they say about love, it always comes when you least expect it!

I loved both of the guys equally. Bossy and Sexy AF are utterly delightful. The secondary cast is just as fabulous. Michael’s boss and family and Bry’s friends shine brightly from the sidelines. I enjoyed all of them, I even warmed up to the hard to please father. I adored the Aussie setting and would love to pop in for a steaming mug of deliciousness at the Kopi Kat. Walker balances a solid foundation with a light-hearted flare that hit all my happy buttons. If you need a ‘Calgon, take me away’ moment, I can’t think of a better place than here.

Beware of: They may live in the fast lane but I found the tension level to barely register a blip on the radar. Although, there is a highly traumatic and life-changing event that you don’t want to miss. And it’s sweet ‘n spicy in all the right places.

This book is for: If you’re looking for little angst and lots of spicy fluff, this is just what the book doctor ordered!

“You took my dick like a champ.” This wasn’t a weird conversation to be having at all. “You give dick like a champ.”

Well this was a steamy sexy romance. Michael and Bryson were no names, all fucks and well that didnt all turn out like they wanted. I enjoyed this. N.R. Walker always gets me. No drama needed. Just two Australian men fucking and falling in love. I love that for them to be honest. There isnt a lot of romance, or a lot of deep talks, but I still shipped that shit. It was a fun sexy time and well, I enjoyed it a lot. N.R. Walker knows how to write some pretty great MM romance that doesnt make me overthink, but just have a fun swoony time. I do recommend.

This is another warm, sweet, comfort story that NR Walker does so very well. Two men meet in a bar, and agree to a round of anonymous sex (or two or three) that goes very well. Well enough to repeat it the next week. And the next. And gradually, piece by piece, conversation by conversation, little bits of who they are inside, what they need, and how much better their lives are for having each other in them, come into play. Until having "Bossy" and "Sexy As Fuck" on their contact lists isn't enough anymore.

There is a little poignancy here, in the loneliness of the guys, and a father too busy to actually see his son as a person. There is sweetness as well as heat, in how these two men come to be for each other. This will be a book to turn to for a hit of warmth, when the world feels cold.

✨4.5✨
Call me romantic or whatever, but I love me a book that starts with a HOT AF hookup that turns into more. hot swoon 🔥💫

Bossy It's light, sweet, sugarcoated and no angst, following Michael ( aka Bossy) and Bryson (aka SAF) as they naturally go from casual hookups to something more, because that connection was through the roof from the first time they saw each other🫠🥵🥹

How it started:

So, before I tell you how this all began, I want to explain something real quick.
Sex for the purpose of just-sex is a thing that happens. Uncomplicated, no-strings-attached, mutual-physical-gratification kind of sex. As long as it’s consensual, safe, and satisfying for all involved, everyone wins. Right?
Not everyone needs an emotional connection to enjoy sex. Sometimes said emotional connection just complicates matters, and who needs complicated in their lives?
I certainly didn’t.

Michael Pietersen is a driven corporate realtor in Sydney who loves his uncomplicated one-night stands. Bryson Schroeder is fresh off a two-year adventure overseas, ready to ditch his family's hotel empire and start fresh. A chance meeting at a bar leads to a "no-strings" deal, but as they keep accidentally tangling in both work and life, their so-called simple arrangement gets... complicated. 💕

Tropes & Vibes:
-No-strings-attached arrangement (yeah, right 🙃)
-No names rule (until it really matters)
-Strict roles with bossy bottom
-Funny, sexy banter
-Suits or vintage T-shirts = ultimate weakness ( let’s not forget the speedos👀)
-Scorching hot in bed, couch, kitchen, shower… everywhere
-First time saying each other’s name = brain short-circuit 🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠
-Baby (never gets old, never will)
-Stealing each other’s clothes like a love language
-Eclectic playlist: from The Clash to BTS
-Delicious take out options 🤤
-Putting mouths to good use 🔥🔥🔥🔥
-Kopi Kat 🥹
-Michael Piersen with an e

The relationship developed quickly but smoothly at the same time. The pace was so good and I believe they fell in love, I believe in their love. While being low angst, there’s still some fatherly drama, but as expected easily resolved.

It does focus a lot on the sex (which, by the way, is mind-blowing as state previously), like their brains can’t think of anything else. But there’s also plenty of cuddling, Netflix and chill, incredible takeout, and even some dates (shhh, don’t tell them I said that). Waking up together… aww—me like it! I would have loved for “their identities” to be unknown for more time.

Butterflies and cold showers quotes ***
Being with him like this was like nothing I’d ever felt before. This emotional depth, the connection.
The love.
Because that’s what this was.
Michael brought his hands around to cup my face, his gaze intense and full of all the emotions I felt. Every breath, every touch, every thrust.
We made love. We held each other, grasping hands, desperate mouths. We moved as one. We became one. It was so intense, so visceral, so honest.

I love you, Michael Piersen with an e.”
He smiled. “I love you too.”

I’m going to fuck you three times again,” I murmured into his mouth.
He arched up into me; his erection twitched between us. His lithe body felt on fire. “Then get my fucking pants off,” he rasped out. “And do what you want with me.”
Sweet mother of God, those were some dangerous words.

So, breaking the kiss, I positioned him where I wanted him the most and slowly, so fucking slowly, let him in.
Fuck.
He sucked back a breath and his fingers dug into my hips, maybe to stop himself from pushing me onto him. “Oh god,” he hissed. “You’re so tight.”
I took a handful of his hair and yanked his head back, partly a distraction for him and partly so I could kiss him again.
And I rocked a little as I took him, finally letting out a shameless groan when he was all the way in. After a few seconds, he tried to raise his hips, so I yanked on his hair again, harder this time.
“I am in control here,” I murmured.
He squeezed his eyes shut. “Fuck.”

How it’s going:

“So there you have it. The crazy tale of how an agreement for uncomplicated sex became a true story of a forever love.
Yes, I was completely blindsided and foolish for thinking complications with Bryce would ever be a bad thing. Complications could sometimes turn into the best thing to ever happen to you. Sometimes it was a train and you were stuck on the tracks and it was gonna hurt like a bitch. And sometimes that train wore vintage band T-shirts and a beautiful smile and derailed your life anyway.
Like I told you before, meeting him and falling in love with him was highly traumatic and life-changing. With a dash of possibly wonderful.
And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Soo this book had a pretty strong start. Like I was hooked on to it v quickly and the sex was hot just as every N. R Walker book.

But it got so boring towards the middle. Nothing happened. It was just them going to work and having sex later. The banter was fun and sweet. But it lacked a certain emotion or drama that’s usually there. (Besides the plot with Bryce’s father)
Overall Imma give it 3.75 stars
