Well, tell me a better Ode composer than Pindar!
I loved this translation. I loved Pindar. I always admired him when I went through his works for the first time during my MA. However, now, looking back at him makes me admire him even more! Splendid with verse and ideas behind them.

Pindar earned his bread by comparing champion athletes with mythical heroes. Much of our knowledge of these heroes come from their being recorded in his odes. Interesting read. Not for everyone, especially not for those who do not appreciate Greek poetry.
