How could my dad do this to me? I mean sure I may have gone over budget on my last few projects, but did he really need to hire someone to control all of my purchases? More importantly, did that person have to be Parker? The one man I've been in love with since I was 13. I will just have to play it cool. After he rejected me all those years ago, I will not let Parker weave his way into my heart again.
This was a weird one. It was a cute story but the way it was written felt quite amateur? I’m not even sure that’s the right way to describe it. But that’s the best way I can. It didn’t have a huge amount of depth maybe that’s what it was?
Ava has been in love with Parker since she was a teenager. Parker is her Uncles best friend and is a bit older than her ( it’s not a huge age gap, something like five years - I can’t remember!!) One drunken night she kisses him and he rejects her, only to find that years later he is to become her shopping monitor, as per her uncles request.
Parker is into Ava, and he spends a lot of the time trying to get her on board after she wants nothing to do with him because she’s embarrassed about the kids years ago. There’s some fun banter and Parker is very sweet, especially when he thinks that Ava is dating a guy that used to be desperately trying to date her when she was a teen.
It’s a cute filler read for anyone that likes no drama or angst, but it felt severely lacking for me which is why it only gets a 2 star. Maybe if there had been more if their relationship when Ava was younger I’d have felt more if a connection to the characters. But as it was I felt thrown into the story with no feeling of their past chemistry.
Feisty Ava is head over heels in love with her uncles best friend from being a teen. She gets drunk and kisses him and crumbles under his rejection. Years later, and after avoiding all contact with the sexy Parker, her dad hires him to oversee the finances of the business. Can she hold her grudge for the six months that he is employed for?
Another incredible read from Quinn. The balance between, character development, romance and sex is just perfect. There are plenty of steamy scenes here, but I loved the dynamic between these two, who just can’t seem to get out of their own way and get together. I really liked how the family was all interlinked and they all had such a lovely friendship that it made for a very easy read. Easily 5 stars!
"The Personal Shopper" by T.L. Quinn is an exceptional romance novel that delivers a heartfelt and engaging love story. The author's writing is both evocative and relatable, making it easy to connect with the characters and their experiences. The personal shopper aspect adds a unique and intriguing dimension to the plot. Quinn masterfully explores the intricacies of romance and personal growth, creating a narrative that is both passionate and emotionally resonant. This book is a true gem for those seeking a captivating and well-crafted love story that tugs at the heartstrings. Highly recommended
Where do I get myself a Parker?!! I completely fell head over heals for the main male character. To read what he was thinking and feeling , and the comical banter between him and Ava had me smiling all the way through their relationship. T.L. Quinn did an amazing job drawing you into Ava and Parker's world. I didn't want to leave! I would definitely recommend this book and author. Matter of fact. I'm buying all of her books. She just acquired another fan and once you read it, you'll become one two!
I enjoyed this quick read and loved Parker and Ava. Hidden feeling finally come to light when Parker moves back to the city after being gone for 6 years. Before leaving Ava had made a move on Parker but the age difference and being a friend of the family made him reject her. Things grow and move along when Parker is back. I wish there was more story though. Definitely worth a read!! Sweet HEA!
I really loved Ava and Parker together. It was a nice reunion/ second chance romance. Ava is one of my favourite T.L Quinn characters. She definitely made me laugh. Parker is a great match for Ava and they make an awesome couple. The book is on the shorter side, and it hooks you into it so you want to keep reading. I want a personal shopper in my life like Parker!
Loved reading this book! Although this books reads fast for me, nothing was lacking! Characters where well developed. I could imagine myself being the fly on the wall to this story! Spicy level 3/5. More steamy than spicy - spicy having more in depth and longer scenes! Still a great light read after the long heavy books I have been reading!
A very steamy age gap romance. Butting heads with someone from the past, and finding out that although they drive you crazy, you just might kind of like their attention too. This fun romance adventure with this comedy and heat will have you addicted to find out how it all pans out.
A cute quick read, wish it could’ve been a little longer so more of Ava and Parker’s relationship could have been explored. Since this was a second chance romance/friends to slightly strangers and then lovers again it didn’t necessarily feel like insta-love which was great.
Very enjoyable read with all the emotions. Interesting career choice, childhood crush, and a checked out daddy puts our FMC in a tough spot with her childhood crush.
Desperately needs more editing. There were sentences with no punctuation at the end, lots of sentences that need commas without them, quotation marks in random places, and multiple spelling mistakes.
The chemistry between Ava and Parker was electric! The storyline was funny. Overall I enjoyed the book and would recommend it. I just wish it was a little longer.
Loved everything about this book wished it was a bit longer T. l.Quinn has wrote a fabulous rom-com book with a bit of heat definitely a book to read 4 1/2 ⭐️
