A colorful and funny story about hats and animals. For readers ages 3 years and up.
Woosh! Bear's colorful hat is blown away. From there it goes on a serendipitous adventure through all of Bear’s animal friends back to his head. Will Bear get his hat back? The illustrations, full of emotion, movement, and playfulness, add to this colorful and funny story about hats and animals.
This is a children's book that I read with my twin boys. This book is great to read with very young reads because they can use the pictures to answer the questions. I think this is a cute and fun book to read with young kids, but I just wanted a little more from this book. The pictures was so cute in this book. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Clavis Publishing) or author (Hong Hai) via NetGalley, so I can give honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.
Bear's rainbow hat blows off his head and lands on turtle, and from turtle to frog. Do you see where this is going. How fun is it to find Bear's hat. With adorable illustrations, animal sound noises, and identifying all bear's friends, it becomes more than finding a beautiful rainbow hat.
A special thank you to Clavis Publishing and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.
I received an electronic ARC from Clavis Publishing through NetGalley. Bear's hat blows off in the wind. Readers follow the hat as bear chases it from animal to animal. Written for toddlers and preschoolers who will enjoy naming the animals and watching the hat's journey. The text is simple to follow. Bear's expressions show every emotion as they chase their hat. The story felt flat but young readers may appreciate it.
The rainbow hat in this story belongs to a bear, who gets it blown off his head one day and has to have a right adventure to get it back. The different animals that provide the titfer with its journey, and their different ways of moving, are the focus of the wee little story, and the visuals are strong enough to make this early reader a success.
The wind is blowing and the rainbow hat goes on an adventure. It blows off of Bear's head and where will it land? Read the book to find out. It is a circular story with a lot of questions that can lead to reader and listener interaction.
I was going to shelve it on the emotions and feeling shelf because Bear has a tear in their eye when they realize that they might not get their hat back.
Rainbow Hat is a simple and colorful picture book that is perfect for any age. The bright colors along with the simplicity of the illustrations and text on each page will make it easy to keep your little reader engaged.
A circular story about a bear and his hat. It goes from bear to turtle to frog to duck to fish to bird to bear. Simple story, but a perfect book for storytime.
Cute and effective--a bear's hat blows away and is taken around by other animals. In the end it ends up back with bear! Very small amount of text so would be good for storytime--the color usage in the illustrations is friendly and nice, almost Eric Carle esque.
Bear loses his rainbow hat. Will he be reunited with it again? You'll have to read it and see! A sweet, short picture book for littles with very simple text with just as simple illustrations.
The artwork reminded me a little of Eric Carle. Bear loses his hat, and the book goes through all his friends as he tries to get his hat back. I enjoyed the ending.
