Remington Kane is an American author that writes action-packed thrillers. The author might be unfamiliar to some people because Remington Kane is actually a pseudonym for Donald Wells.
Donald Wells has garnered a reputation for writing darker and somewhat serious novels about killers. The author was born in New Jersey. He never really left and has since made a home there. Like most of his peers, Donald Wells was an avid reader as a child.
He spent many an hour devouring every book he came across. And it wasn’t long before he began to yearn for the chance to write. Like many aspiring authors, Donald Wells knew he had the capacity to tell stories. However, he was a little hesitant to venture into such uncharted waters, not only because he didn’t know where to start with regards to writing a book but also because he didn’t have confidence in his own ability to produce compelling fiction.
Again, like most notable authors, Donald meandered about for a while. Rather than going into publishing the first chance he got, Donald tried his hand at various odd jobs. He worked as an insurance salesman, a Real Estate Sales person, and even a Retail manager.
The jobs, though seemingly meaningless in the grand scheme of things, did wonders for the author’s writing capabilities. Whether he was driving trucks or cleaning floors, Donald gained insight into the workings of the world.
He met unexpected people and heard their intriguing stories. He came across numerous strange encounters and even participated in some of them. He essentially dipped into so many unique aspects of life that it came as no surprise that he had more than enough stories rattling around his head when it finally came time to write his first novel.
Not that many authors can claim to have been offered a chance to act as bodyguard to a drug dealer. Since getting his first book sold, though, Donald has finally settled in his career. The author loves writing novels and there is nothing he else he would rather be doing. The fact that he has found a way to make money out of his passion makes him one of the luckier individuals in the world.
By the time Donald Wells began writing as Remington Kane, he had already become established as a novelist with numerous thrillers under his name. However, writing as Remington practically took over his life.
This is because Donald has achieved more success writing as Remington Kane than he did producing novels under his real name. Kane is best known for the Tanner series of novels. Tanner is a hit man who accepts a job to take out a mob boss.
When he is betrayed and thrown into prison, Tanner thinks of little else besides getting revenge. And once he finally gets his freedom, the hit man becomes a one man army, engaging in a brutal way against a crime organization known as the Conglomerate.
Each new book sees Tanner raising the stakes by finding a new target that will sting the Conglomerate in ways they couldn’t possibly fathom.
Remington Kane has been praised for the Tanner novels because Tanner is such a refreshing hero. The protagonist is so average physically, devoid of the exaggerated traits that most action heroes seem to bear. If not for his natural fighting and survival instincts, one would be hard pressed to tell Tanner apart from any other ordinary man on the street.
Excellent story that entertains, but also delivers an important message. Tanner steps up to help a friend of Spenser. This friend specializes in rescuing girls who have been captured by a human trafficking organization and sold as sex slaves. Several twists in the plot and lots of action, as usual, keep the reader going in another fast-paced thriller. I received an advanced digital copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
A Riveting Tale of Revenge Involving “Tanner, Henry, & The Barlow’s” And Others We Know From the Past
Once again “The Barlow’s” need Tanner’s assistance as the sins of their past deeds catch up with them, and thus this new adventure begins.
As the tale unfolds, “Tanner”, with help from “Henry”, (I can never get enough of “Henry”) as well as others from “Tanner’s” past put in an appearance in this action filled tale.
I personally found this to be another in this series that I simply could not put down and walk away from once I started it, and I’m almost certain many of you, if not all, will share my experience.
I HIGHLY Recommend this book. I’ve never read a “Remington Kane” book in this series that I did not thoroughly enjoy.
This author without a doubt is the best. I soak up his books like a paper towel soaks up water . I am a huge fan and could spend forever just reading his books. I didn't review the last 2 K read cuz I thought there was no more to say but each time I read a new book by him I just want to praise him for the excitement he brings to my life. I tell ya folks you gotta read this author. You won't regret it!!!
I liked it. Tanner is Tanner and will basically never change. No problem with that. This book was a little more. Not just a shoot-em-up but the motivation was for a good cause. Is Tanner 7 slowly turning into a Spenser and just helping people? Will Tanner 8 start doing straight hits? Regardless I am sure it will be a good read. Looking forward.
I will never get tired of reading about Tanner as Mr. Kane writes another one. I love how his story goes as it's always full of action and again I can't turn the pages quick enough as the suspense builds. As I get closer to the end of the book, I look for how soon the next book comes out. I love this Series and I'm so glad I found it.
Can't praise this series enough never read a bad book yet !!Characters are great Tanner and a friend from the past join up to save girls that have been abducted. Kate and Micheal end up in deep water putting their children in Danger will they be ok or do they need help read and find out you won't be disappointed .
The sins of the father and mother was your best novel to date. It was fast paced, emotional, action packed and brutal. It was also , in my mind based on the fact that so many young females are abducted each year with no one to save them. I began this adventure yesterday afternoon and completed it today. Kudos!!! Dr. C. 💞💞💞🍷🍷🍷🎉🎉🎊
This is a great story with wonderful new characters and a very different storyline. Plenty of action and new relationships. Super to be around for Tanner becoming a different person.
Mr. Kane is truly an amazing writer. He really hooks you into the story and makes you feel like you are right next to Tanner. I know I’ve said it before and will keep saying it. You will not regret reading the Tanner Series. Thank you Mr. Kane.
Great read. It was good to see another side of Tanner, helping people that can't help themselves. He's learned a lot from Spenser not just how to kill but also to have compassion for others in need. And helping the Barlows was so cool as well.
Definitely another series possibility here - Maxwell's Silver Hammer - you can have the title. Great stuff. I do not want Tanner to retire though. Henry 8th Tanner - not yet son.
I’ve read this book at least 3 times,, One of my favs , So much action and all the different story lines are just awesome, Thank You for your time Mr, Kane What a great mind you have,,,,,
I have just found the Tanner series. I am reading them out of order, but each one is wonderful! This book deals with human trafficking of women. It is fast paced. A great read!
Pretty gross story with the ties to the gross sex trade that exists. The exploits of Tanner were the same as always and he again made his triumph look easy.
First, no Mafia. Unfortunately while this story is fiction, the plot is not. Too many women and children are kidnapped into perversion. Part is caused by Narco Traficantes. Tanner and partner were too easy on the men. Crotch shots would have sufficed and the prison. Great story that could have had a more sadistic ending. Mr Kane is nicer than me. Are there going to be more?
