Living through a traumatic experience is tough, but living with yourself after is even tougher.

An explosion rocks TV star Morgan Young's world and it may take more than his FBI Agent boyfriend, Bodhi Locke has to give to make it all better.

Morgan is filming a guest spot on the Hart’s Desire sister show when a bomb goes off, injuring his beloved assistant River. Feeling like he’s to blame for her being in the wrong place at the wrong time, he drops into an emotional tailspin that leaves him questioning everything, including his relationship with Bodhi.

Meanwhile, Bodhi’s search for the bomber sends him and Morgan down a winding path that leads to a fannish reveal, an unexpected murder and stand-off that could end everything for good.

The Two Shot is the third book in the Hollywood Endings series but can be read as a standalone. Steamy with a bit of fun, it’s cliffhanger free with a happily ever after ending.

It's been a while since I last read the previous two books, but I fully right back into the story. It can be read as a standalone, but you will enjoy it more by reading the previous books, especially because of everything these two went through in them.

My favourite is still book 2, but I still enjoyed this one. The mystery involved a bombing at the film studio, which Morgan in filming it and it's up to Bodhi and the FBI to solve this one.

Morgan goes through a lot in this one and blames himself for a lot of what happens. He truly cares for people and especially those close to him. I didn't like his thoughts about his ex f**kbuddy, Tate especially when he started remembering the sex, lasting after him and asking about a threesome. It really didn't need to be including and I hated what it did to Bodhi. and I couldn't understand why Bodhi was so jealous.

Bodhi was so kind and caring and was really there for Morgan through all of this. He may have worries about being good enough for Morgan, but he truly loves him and wants forever with him.

The case was good, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the other two. What I did like was that we had so many couple moments, from Mogan cooking them meals to going to a convention together. All of these helped to bring them together and help renew the spark that was starting to wane.

There were a few bug bears, like the pov changing between paragraphs and some editing errors, but it didn't detract from the story. I still really enjoy the series and can't wait to see what they get involved in next.

The Two Shot, the third in the Hollywood Endings series, sees Morgan (an actor) and Bodhi (an FBI agent) wondering if the shine's gone off their relationship. Meanwhile, an incident at the studio where Morgan's filming brings danger to their door again.

I really enjoyed the previous books in the series because Bodhi and Morgan's relationship was an established one, so it's good to see how the characters respond to the challenges faced in this installment. I still really like Bodhi - he continues to be the loving, nurturing, hard-working protector. It's probably just me, but I don't quite feel the same as before about Morgan. I got a bit annoyed with him at a couple of points, though that may be more to do with the story arc? However, the men's bond is fantastic and the way in which they work the problems is heartening.

The mystery/investigation in The Two Shot felt a little thinner than the first two books, too, but I think that's just because the bar was set so high. That's not to say that I didn't like it. On the contrary, it's a great premise and there are some interesting twists and turns. It's just that there are elements that I would have liked to be developed further and a couple that sort of forced the main characters down a path that could have been handled a bit differently. Again, this is likely more to do with where I am as a reader right now, certainly not the sign of a bad book.

I hope I have the time to revisit this book when I'm in a different place - my rating might be different? For now, though, I'm going to say The Two Shot is a 3.5* (rounded up) read for me, but I'll definitely be back for more adventures with Bodhi and Morgan. I'm curious to see who in their orbit will be unlucky enough that their demise needs to be investigated next.

An ARC was provided by GRR. This is my honest review.

It pains me to give the rating I am, but I find it important to be honest to myself, and to others. I loved book two, it was incredible, and the relationship between Bodhi and Morgan was #goals. Things are not so smooth between them in book three. I was interested in the mystery, the challenge of trying to find unsub, so I have no complaints there. Bodhi's team was also really nice to read about, he has some great people around him. My issue with the book was Morgan and Tate. The very first page it felt as if Morgan had just plunged a knife in my heart. This is very, very, much a personal opinion, and I know others may not share my thoughts, or feelings, towards this issue. With that said, I felt like Morgan was cheating, like he was being unfaithful to Bodhi. He is in love with Bodhi, he's living together with him, and says he's a one man type of guy now. So, why in the hell are you thinking like that of your ex fuck buddy?! Why are you feeling comfort in his arms, and allowing him to grind his hard on against you? Why are you not putting him in his place, making it very, very clear that you ARE. NOT. INTERESTED! Why are you being shady as hell about everything?! I love these two as a couple, I think they fit together so well. After the last book, I would never have imagined this Tate storyline, because M&B were a perfectly crazy in love couple. My heart is aching for that perfectly matched couple, which was not what I was given in this book. Sorry.

This is the third book in the series about tv and movie star Morgan Cooper and FBI Agent Bodhi Locke. You really should read the first two books before this one to fully understand the characters and some references made but if you don’t this story does stand on its own.

Bodhi and Morgan have been together for a while and as the book begins Morgan feels like they are drifting apart. The first part of the book is full of whiny “woe is me” stuff that gets old after a while. The characters seem so radically different here it almost made me wonder whether the same author was writing this book. Plus, I generally have a low tolerance for the “I’m not good enough, he’s going to leave me” crap.

Once the action around the crime starts to pick up things get better though Morgan continues to get on my nerves. Annoying since I found him so entertaining in previous books. There are interesting twists and turns with some red herrings and some good clues for readers to play detective. As we move towards the big crisis scene anyone with two brain cells can see what’s coming and it is super annoying that Bodhi, the FBI agent can’t predict it. That scene is tense and anxiety inducing. The ending is emotional and I could feel myself relaxing from the things that had made me tense or irritated earlier. I am looking forward to the next book, hopeful the navel gazing from this one is over with now.

**I voluntarily read an arc and this is my unbiased opinion.**

This is part of a series, so if you haven’t read the first books, go back for them, they’re great! In this installment, FBI agent Bodhi and actor Morgan are once again navigating the intricacies of their relationship while simultaneously solving a mystery. I love the chemistry between the two of them, and it’s been rewarding to watch the arc of their relationship overall, but I wasn’t quite prepared for the intense wave of “what if I’m not good enough” that threatens to swamp their hard-won equilibrium in this installment. It didn’t quite feel like angst for angst’s sake, but at times it was close. Overall, however, I have to say I really loved this book: Morgan and Bo are so well suited for each other, and their adventures are always an epic blend of peril, luck, skill, and collaboration that’s super-fun to read. Highly recommend.

The mix of romance and mystery continues to be expertly handled by the author in this book and the balance between the two is perfect. Bodhi and Morgan are still great characters but boy, does their relationship take a hit in this one! For a while there it felt like they were going to lose each other to guilt and what if? questions. I can certainly see why some reviewers were concerned about certain aspects of Morgan's character here and if you are adamantly against anything that even vaguely feels like "cheating" either emotional or physical, this might not be the book for you. Things like that do happen in real relationships, however, and for me, it is always interesting to see how the author handles these crises. I thought it was very believably handled here and am satisfied with where this one ended up in terms of their relationship. Another winner in the series.

I love reading about already established couples and going deeper into their relationship. This story gives us more insight into the insecurities both men face, Bodhi for dating such an attractive actor and Morgan for fear of Bodhi’s job. The mystery in this one helped the men come together and be stronger for each other and helped alleviate some of their insecurities. I enjoyed this mystery better then ghost one of the last book. These guys are so sweet and perfect together and I loved that they weren’t perfect. Great story.

I love the mix of romance and mystery in these books. This one had some slow spots, but when there was action, it was really good and kept me rapidly 'turning' pages. Morgan and Bohdi are such different men and I just love the way they work together. This book has drama, danger, suspense, twists and turns, and red herrings, along with the love and dedication of Morgan and Bohdi. Each book 'can' stand alone, but I really recommend reading them in order for better understanding and enjoyment of the characters.

I see where the author was going with this but it sadly fell short. The mystery is ok, more interesting than I was expecting but where it falls short is the relationship troubles. I get that the author was trying to introduce tension and a degree of danger and uncertainty but the execution wasn’t there. Morgan came across as a man child who couldn’t cope, emotionally or mentally with any part of being an adult. Bodhi and Morgan do not communicate like reasonable people at all and the Tate storyline came out of nowhere and didn’t really feel organic to their relationship.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the story. Bodhi an FBI agent and Morgan an actor is an unusual combination of characters. Bodhi seems very grounded while Morgan is more dramatic, but they work. The storyline kept me reading to find out who set the bomb, killed the fan blogger and stole the monkey. I must say I didn’t expect the ending that happened, but it was the only way this mystery could end and still have a HEA.

Two Shot is a wonderful addition to the Hollywood Endings series. I love the dynamics and sizzling chemistry between Bodhi and Morgan.
When trouble hits close to home it causes a major hiccup in the lives of these two.
There is danger and mystery here that will have our guys needing each other more than ever.
I loved going along for the ride with this story and will need more of Bodhi and Morgan !

A tense thriller that had me on the edge of my seat. Bodhi and Morgan are just like everyone else where they have to work hard at their relationship especially when there is doubt involved. Both men are so sweet and complement each other perfectly. Such a strong love you can feel between the two men even with the trials they face. When danger comes calling can Bodhi save Morgan before it turns fatal ?

The Two Shot by JD Sampson is the third book in the Hollywood Endings series.  I absolutely adore these characters and their love story.  Morgan and Bodhi are fun, sexy and sweet.  Their interactions had me glued to the kindle.  The story had my attention from the start and kept me in suspense, needing to know what was going on and why.  I think its my favorite of the series.

I seriously love Bodhi and Morgan. I have tremendously enjoyed this series and I hope it continues. I love the mystery aspect and romance of the story line. I loved how Bodhi and Morgan’s relationship has evolved. The mystery I thought was the best one yet to date!! I’m voluntarily leaving a review form an advance copy that I received.

Deadly fandom!

This was a great mystery! It made me think of the classic Maltese Falcon. The action is breathtaking and the clues intriguing! The the concurrent running story of Bodhi and Morgan moving from the honeymoon phase of their relationship. I loved watching them confront the pitfalls of their careers and working tbrough them together.

I enjoyed this book. I just felt like I was missing something. Morgan and Bohi were really good together. This was very nice mystery crime romance. Truly enjoyed it. I do feel like I missed something because I did not know it was a continuation of their story, so I am going to go back and read the first two books.
I received and ARC and voluntarily read it for an honest review

This 3rd addition to the Hollywood Endings is wonderful. It brings out the love and the chemistry between Bodhi and Morgan. There will not be many dull moments in this relationship.

The blip comes when closer to home than either of them suspected. In the magic that is these 2 come along and enjoy the fun.

Love this latest in the series of Hollywood Endings. The story was great and Bodhi and Morgan are going through some growing pains and having some difficulty connecting and are both a bit afraid that what they have may not last. In the end it all works out. Hope this is not the last book, I am already wanting to read more of them.

Love this series

I love Bodhi and Morgan and I hope this is not the end of their story. An actor and an FBI Special Agent aren’t a couple usually found in a book and these unusual pairings are my favorite stories to read. My only complaint is Book 1 began with them as an established couple. I would love a prequel!

I'm rounding up a bit... First half was just ok (3 stars). Wasn't a fan of Morgan's ex messing with their vibe. The second half was much better. And, the ending was great.

Bodhi and Morgan are back with an all new mystery to solve. The two men have successfully put to bed two separate cases that occurred in previous books (this book can stand alone as it’s a new mystery but I recommend starting at the beginning as to understand the progression of the relationship between the two main characters.
In this book you will see an evolution in Morgan and Bodhi’s relationship which gives a better understanding as to the two characters as individuals and as a couple. And the mystery in this one is by far the best one yet. Hope there many more books in the series.
