Ms. Brown has another hit in this wonderful series. I have enjoyed every book in this series. The adventures that Reagan and Aunt Kiki have always make me laugh. However, they are always serious about attaining justice for the victims. The twists and turns in this mystery were over the top and even Reagan's mom got involved in this mystery. Strong southern women, an adorable dog, a couple of stellar alpha southern men round out this cast of characters as they hunt for a murderer who has framed Aunt Kiki. Walker and Reagan are headed for a honeymoon on Mackinac Island at the end of the book and I wonder if they will meet Evie Bloomfield?

Reagen and Boone are getting married. But someone offs Corny right on wedding. Reagan,'s Auntie Kiki is main suspect cause Corney told her that her house belonged to someone else on a Fred someone made. Reagan mother is dating a lawyer that Raegen did no about because she was caught up in marrying Boone. I've some of these series along time ago. But I'm really not into it that much. Though it does have some of the story is kinda funny

Duffy Brown, once again you've kept me up late, gotten me into trouble and made me laugh out loud! The latest in the Consignment Shop Mysteries has Reagan, Aunt Kiki and the crew trying to make sure Reagan and Boone's wedding takes place, keep Aunt Kiki out of jail and keep Reagan's beloved home out of her ex's greedy hands!

The Summerside women of Savannah, are at their most dangerous & zany best! I knew it was going to be a wild ride when Aunt Kiki fired the shotgun into the ceiling! The characters are lovable and funny and the mystery is full of twists and turns. As always, Boone is swoonworthy, but has some competition from a new suitor for Reagan's Mom. BW is adorable even if he's more lover than fighter! I laughed so much at the funeral (sorry, not sorry), Princess the cat riding the Roomba and all of the antics Reagan & Kiki get into to clear her name and solve the mystery!

Grab a copy, relax and get ready for a great time with mystery, humor, friendship, family and Southern charm!

The big day is finally here for Reagan Summerside and Walker Boone. They are about to finally be married, but things never go smoothly for Reagan. That turns out to be the understatement of the year when a dead body is found under the wedding cake table at the reception. The deceased was hated but many. However, it’s Reagan’s Aunt KiKi who is the prime suspect.

Reagan and Boone’s honeymoon is put on hold as they try to clear Aunt KiKi’s name. It’s not an easy thing to do when your ex is still making trouble and your aunt refuses to lie low, but that’s exactly what Reagan has to deal with.

Fortunately, with the help of her friends, family and faithful canine buddy BW (Bruce Willis), Reagan has a great support group to help her solve this mystery. It's not an easy task though as they face many stumbling blocks along the way.

This is the 6th and, I fear, final book in the Consignment Shop Mystery series. I hope it comes back, but I haven’t found anything indicating that it will return.

I’ve really come to care about these characters. I always feel like I’m visiting old friends when I read one of these books.

This is a madcap adventure that keeps you laughing, as well as guessing who the culprit is. Duffy Brown keeps you at the edge of your seat as Reagan gets herself into all kinds of zany antics. This series is an enjoyable one that leaves you smiling.

Dollycas’s Thoughts

Reagan Summerside and Walker Boone are getting married but before their nuptials can take place a major property dispute needs to be handled. Reagan is not about to let her Aunt Kiki lose her family home. She thinks she has the problem settled but then the man the found the deed causing all the drama is found dead under the cake table at the happy couple’s reception. It is no surprise that Aunt Kiki is arrested for the crime but everyone knows she didn’t do it. They do let her out of jail on house arrest but Kiki isn’t having it. She plans to help Reagan find the real killer and clear her name. Thankfully Boone is on top of the case and knows what the trouble those two women can get into when left to their own devices.

Reagan was doing so well. It had been quite some time since she found a dead body but her luck couldn’t hold through her wedding. Shortly after the body is found the hilarity I have come to expect in this series takes off.

All my favorite characters return in this 6th Consignment Shop Mystery. Even Judge Gloria gets pulled into the chaos. Aunt Kiki is her over-the-top self. Reagan and Walker are so in love and in sync. He does have his hands full with the antics of all the women in his life. Due to the shorter length of this story, we don’t get as many of those antics or as much of the crazy quirky supporting characters as usual but after waiting so long, 3 years, for this wedding to take place I am thrilled we were finally able to visit these wonderful characters again.

The shorter length did not stop Duffy Brown from giving us a great mystery filled with her signature humor and Southern charm. It was so much fun to tag along each step of the way in pursuit of the real killer. I loved all the twists and turns. The pace was quick and the pages flew.

Wedding Day and Foul Play was worth the wait. I was totally entertained by this installment and so glad that we readers were able to attend the wedding we were so looking forward to when the publisher pulled the plug on this fantastic series. I truly hope the author allows us to revisit these characters again soon even though the characters have been left in a happy place.

If you're looking for a binge worthy cozy mystery series then look no further than Duffy Brown's Consignment shop series. Reagan is finally getting married but, of course, it's too much to hope for that things run smoothly. Poor Aunt Kiki is accused of murder and even though she's under house arrest with an ankle bracelet you won't be surprised when humorous antics ensue. Lots of twists and turns in this cozy mystery that lead to a satisfying ending.

Duffy Brown is such a terrific author.
Reagan lives in Savannah and owns a consignment shop in a wonderful old home. It is next door to her Aunt Kiki’s mansion. Aunt Kiki teaches ballroom dancing in her home and Uncle Putter is a heart surgeon as well as addicted to golf.
Now, Reagan is marrying Boone and it is the wedding of the season. This is true love between a woman, a man and their lazy dog. Boone is an attorney. He has a some interesting old friends from the time before he was an attorney. He and Reagan are the perfect couple. They eat together and love one another and their dog, but most of all they laugh a lot together.
After Reagan’s unfortunate history of finding dead bodies around every corner, everyone is thrilled when the wedding is going smoothly. Except of course for the dead body under the table that is holding the cake.
Aunt Kiki is charged with murder and Reagan and Boone delay their honeymoon. They will find the actual murderer and then get to enjoy their new found bliss
This is a quick moving and fun read. The characters are complete. They are also completely crazy.
The secondary characters (actually everyone is important and there is no one who is secondary) add a great deal to the plot and the action and the fun.
Although this is part of a series, it is easy to follow the action. Relationships and past events are explained well.
Ms Brown has created a wonderful series and a wonderful set of people.
I enjoyed this book. I would recommend you start out with the first book in the series, to add to your enjoyment. But, no matter what, find a Duffy Brown book for a good time.

I loved this book as I do the whole series. Reagan and Boone are getting married but of course nothing in Reagan's life goes smoothly especially when a body is found and her aunt is the prime suspect.
I love these characters and the humor always has me laughing out loud. The mystery was good and kept me guessing and I was lead along with Reagan and Boone to find the answers.
I eagerly await the next in the series, I am missing these characters already.

Hilarious!

Reagan, the main character lives in Savannah. She lives next door to her aunt, and her mother is a judge in town. She forgets to dye her dark roots, superglues her shoes together, and can't seem to throw away her ratty clothes. The characters are wonderful, as is the setting. So funny!

This may well be my favorite cozy mystery series.

Duffy Brown is one of my favorite authors. They are funny, have a good mystery plot, and contain some of the most lovable characters. The fact that they are set in the South is definitely a plus. This is the 7th book in the series and did not disappoint.

Speed skimmed for a sense of completion. If Savannah slapstick is your thing enjoy the series. Had hopes reading the first one that the author would settle and not need to throw everything at it hoping something would stick. Nope. That’s her schtick.

This book was a delight to read. It has been awhile since I visited the consignment store. The characters instantly returned to life within the pages and I was involved in the wedding of the year!

I don't want to give the tale away, so I'll just recommend your reading this series from book one to this excellent volume.

Hopefully, we will read of the further exploits of Reagan Boone....

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the Author, Great Escapes Book Tours. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Wedding Day and Foul Play by Duffy Brown is a nice short read that can be read while you are waiting for dinner to cook or even just spending the day outside if it's warm enough.
Will Reagan find out who killed Corny if it wasn't Auntie Kiki?
Reagan (Summerside) Boone
Reagan Summerside is getting ready to marry Walker Boone and can't wait to be his husband. She's gone a long time without finding a dead body and is ready to celebrate with her new husband. Reagan has a tough time keeping her Auntie Kiki in line and staying at home where she won't get into any trouble. From what I've read in this book, no one can keep Auntie Kiki away from solving a murder, especially if she's the prime suspect. Reagan is a pretty smart girl, and it shows in some of the things she does throughout. Her consignment shop sounds interesting.
The Mystery
Wedding Day and Foul Play CRIn Savannah, Georgia, on the eve of Reagan's wedding to Walker Boone, someone kills Cornelius "Corny" McBride in Kiki Vanderpool's house. It's up to Reagan to figure out who actually did in Corny since she knows it wasn't Auntie Kiki. She uncovers a lot of suspects with Auntie Kiki's help even though Kiki should have stayed home with her ankle monitor on. I figured it out before the sleuth did, but I kept reading because I wanted to know why he did and what he used to kill Corny. It sounds like Savannah is a pretty place to live, and they have a weird way to name their squares.
3 Stars
Wedding Day and Foul Play by Duffy Brown is a marvelous mystery filled with these quirky Southern characters. Ms. Brown does a great job even though I'm still puzzled over a few things, but oh well. I am giving this book three stars and recommending it to people that like to read short Southern mysteries.

Wedding Day and Foul Play by Duffy Brown is the sixth book in the Consignment Shop Mystery series and as soon as you open this book up and start reading, you are going to be hooked !!

Wedding Day and Foul Play starts off with main character Reagan Summerside marrying her dreamboat lawyer fiance, Walker Boone. Unfortunately during the reception a dead body is found under a table and Reagan's ex-husband is about to take Reagan's aunt house after a deed is found in an old chest.......and Aunt Kiki is in the middle of everything !! When Aunt Kiki is arrested for the murder of Corny McBride and placed on house arrest, Reagan knows she has to do something. Not only does she have to prove her aunt's innocence but she has to find a way to keep her aunt and uncle in the house they have lived in for their entire married lives.

Reagan and Boone should be on their honeymoon but family is more important so they put their heads together to find out who really killed Corny. The suspect list seems to get longer as they find out things about Corny and his blackmailing ways. And just when they think they have it all figured out, something else comes to light and they are back to not knowing anything.

Readers will love this book as well as the series. It doesn't matter what book you pick up, as soon as you start reading you will feel like you are right there in Savannah visiting family and friends.....you may not want to leave....even with a murder investigation going on, you will be invested in everything !!

Reagan and Walker are getting married. Any chance the day will come off without a hitch? Not likely with her penchant for finding dead bodies.

It's the day before the wedding when local auctioneer Cornelius "Corny" McBride waltzes into Rosegate and threatens to evict Auntie Kiki from her beloved home. It looks like Auntie Kiki and Uncle Putter will have to move until Corny winds up dead under the wedding cake table.

Considering how many people he has swindled, the list of suspects is as long as his arm, but Auntie Kiki tops the list. Putting the honeymoon on hold, the newlyweds start looking for clues that will help clear Auntie Kiki's name.

Wow! I forgot how much I loved this series. The charm of Savannah is the perfect setting for this fun cozy featuring consignment shop owner Reagan Summerside and her beloved family made up of her judge mamma Gloria, Auntie Kiki, Uncle Putter, and canine friend BW. Friends Mercedes and Aldeen along with Boone's buddy Big Joey also pops up.

The list of suspects in Wedding Day and Foul Play by Duffy Brown seems endless. As Reagan and Boone continue their search for clues, the danger increases and Reagan is forced to make a tough decision.

If you like cozy mysteries, you will want to pick up the latest Consignment Shop Mystery. Though I totally recommend you read the entire series, Wedding Day and Foul Play stands alone.

Reagan and Walker are getting married, but of course things can't go off in a normal fashion. They have barely made it through the wedding, when a dead body is found underneath the table holding the wedding cake. Since Aunt Kiki had recently fired a shotgun at the victim, threatening to kill him, she is arrested for the murder. It seems the victim was trying to blackmail Aunt Kiki since he had evidence that Aunt Kiki's beloved home actually belongs to Reagan's louse of an ex-husband. In order to save Aunt Kiki's home, Reagan promises her house to the ex, even though it breaks her heart to do so.

But now the problem is to clear Aunt Kiki's name. Luckily, Reagan has lots of experience investigating murders and lots of help from Walker, her mother (when she is not distracted by her new boyfriend), and various other friends from around Savannah. This is quite a short book and it was published more than three years ago, so I have a feeling it is the last in the series. If so, it is a nice way to end. There is lots of the usual humor, we get to see all of our favorite characters, and it wraps up nicely, with the culprit behind bars and Reagan and Walker off on their honeymoon. I think the island where they are going is the site of the author's other series, so I plan to check that series out soon. Hopefully, it will bring me as much reading pleasure as the Consignment Shop series has.

Reagan and Boone's wedding is going well until the body of a shyster is found under a table and Aunt Kiki is suspect. A golf painting that she had given to Uncle Putter turns out to be a fake. Even worse, Corny, the deceased, had found a document in something Kike had given him to sell, that shows that an ancestor of Kiki's had gambled away her beautiful family home many years ago. The house will now go to Hollis, Reagan's slimy ex. Reagan makes a deal with him to take her beloved Cherry House instead.

Reagan's mother, Judge Gloria, has been seeing another judge. Her boyfriend has a ne'er do well stepson named Simon, who was involved with the deceased.

We know that Reagan will come up with something to save the house she has worked so hard on. Hollis has started to move into Cherry House before it comes into his hands, but Reagan finds information in his boxes that prove he cannot be the heir to the family windfall.

I started reading this on my Kindle and could not stop. I have been in love with the Consignment Shop books from the beginning and was fortunate to have my name chosen to be used as a character name in one of them. In this book, Reagan gets to marry Walter Boone at her Aunt Kiki's home. Reagan's mom performs the ceremony, Kiki walks her down the aisle, and B.W. carries the ring. As it happens in this series a body is found under the table that holds the wedding cake and Aunt Kiki is arrested for murder. This delays the honeymoon as Walter has to get Kiki out of jail. The newlyweds have their hands full trying to find out who did it so they can finally go on their honeymoon. To find out what happens, you will have to buy the book. If you want to find out about the character named after me, see page 100 of Pearls and Poison.

This book follows Regan and her new husband Boone as they settle down to their wedding reception until a dead body appears that is and Aunt Kiki becomes on the hook for the murder! Did she do it to protect her home and symbol status in town or did something else happen?

This book had so much going on like Regan learning her mom is dating someone new to Kiki being arrested for murder. To having to give up the Prissy Fox to her ex-husband the cheat so that her aunt could keep her house.

I love this series it's typical with all things crazy Regan and Kiki. I always miss the series when the book ends than look forward to Ms. Brown offers up next in the Consignment series or her other series! If you haven't read this series you are sorely missing out on some great adventures with Regan, Kiki, Boone and all their friends and family!

I do enjoy Reagan and her family, especially Aunt KiKi, though her mother, the judge, isn’t far behind. You don’t want to mess with the Summerside ladies! If nothing else, you might die from laughter.

The climax had an interesting twist leading to some major attempts at misdirection. And there are plenty of laugh out loud moments.

That being said, I think the author didn’t put her best effort into this book. For one, it was very short and abrupt at the beginning (thankfully I had just read the preceding book). Second, there were some major and obvious copy-editing misses. Sloppy work. On the other hand the covers were very well designed with great artwork.

There is a hint at the end of the potential for another adventure with Reagan and her extended family. If so, I look forward to some more LOL moments.

A fun addition to the Consignment Shop cozy mystery series!

Wedding Day and Foul Play is the 6th wonderful book in this series by Duffy Brown. It begins a few days before Reagan Summerside and Walker Boone's wedding which takes place at Reagan's Aunt Kiki and Uncle Putter's house. During the reception, Reagan finds a hand sticking out from under a table. Aunt Kiki is a suspect. Reagan's mother is Judge Gloria Summerside. Reagan, Boone, Gloria, and Kiki work together to clear Kiki's name. The characters are fun and interesting. There is a lot of humor mixed in with the intriguing mystery. There is a twist in the story to keep it interesting until the end. Very enjoyable book and series!

Wedding Day and Foul Play is the newest entry in the Consignment Shop mystery series by Duffy Brown. I was so excited when I saw that she was publishing a new book! This book was definitely worth the wait! The book includes Reagan and Boone’s long awaited wedding, Auntie KiKi getting into trouble (per usual), a new love interest for Reagan’s mom, and appearances by all the great supporting characters in this series.

I thought the mystery was solid, with several twists thrown in. I also loved the dynamic between Reagan and Boone here. They’re such a great couple! I love this series and can’t wait for more books to be released. I hope this series continues for many, many books!

At long last Reagan and Boone are getting married. This should have been the best book ever, but it didn't quite make it. It seemed like too many coincidences of Boon popping up just when Reagan was in a tight spot, Auntie Kiki was not the same as in other books, and not enough attention to the consignment shop activities. It just didn't have the same energy as previous books in the series. Or maybe it's because it has been so long since the last book?
All that aside, I still liked it and I still laughed at Reagan and BW's antics. I'd be remiss not to mention Mamma (Judge Gloria) and her carrying on!
