Cap is the continuation of Sebastian and Maggie's story from the series For The Love Of A Good Woman and the second book in the Reed Security Series. The Reed Security Series must be read in order.

“Well, I could try, but with my sciatica flaring up, I wouldn’t get very far. Besides, Harry knows exactly where to touch to get rid of the pain,” she winked at him.
“Eww. I forgot how much I hated hearing you two flirt.”
“If that fella of yours ever ties you down, you’ll be us someday; humping like rabbits on your neighbors bed when she’s out of town because you just can’t help yourself.” He pulled Aggie over onto his lap and did something under the table that I didn’t want to think about. She squealed and batted at his chest.
“Oh, Harry. You’re such a devil.”
I looked back at my room and shivered in disgust. “I slept in that bed last night.” They didn’t hear me as they continued to flirt with each other.
“Dear, when the urge strikes at our age, you take it. Sex is like snow; you never know how many inches you’re gonna get or how long it’s going to last.”
“That’s... sweet, Harry. I didn’t know you had it in you.”
“Just telling it like it is, girlie. Speaking of the urge striking, I think we’d better leave, Aggie, or Maggie is going to see a bit more than she wants to. This robe doesn’t conceal much.”

Cap
My attraction to Maggie has never been the problem. Her inability to ask for help and stick around long enough to receive it is. Maggie is the type of woman that every man wants. She's independent, smart as a whip, sassy, and stunningly beautiful. But all those things don't make a relationship work and if I can't figure out how to keep her, I'll have more to worry about than the arms dealer that's trying to kill us.

Maggie
I've been wondering for the last year where my relationship with Sebastian is going. I picked up and moved my whole life to be with him, but then we never talked about more. I don't know how much more I can take of always feeling like I'm just the live-in girlfriend. When he suggests taking a break, it starts to sound like an awfully good idea, especially now that I don't want him to find out my secret, one that I hope he never finds out. The problem is, Cap never gives up without a fight.

Freckles and Cap!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: ❤️💜💙💚
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📙📕📗📘📔
World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌎🌎
Character development: 😟😣🙃🙂🥰

The heroine: Maggie (a.k.a. Freckles) - Maggie used to be an investigative journalist but quit her job in Philadelphia to move in with Cap and work at Reed Security. However, she has been unhappy at the job and frequently she up and leaves to go out investigating.

The Hero(es): Sebastian Reed (a.k.a. Cap) - Cap started Reed Security after leaving the military. He met Maggie after the firm was hired to protect her when she was a reporter and her life was threatened. Cap is possessive and protective of Maggie.

The Story: Sebastian and Maggies story of when they met and fell in love was told in the series “For the Love of a Good Woman”. This book starts after the couple has been living together for two years and they are having problems. Maggie has some yearning to do investigative work like she did when she was a journalist but she also has a habit of getting into dangerous situations when she is out on her own.

Cap has a need to protect Maggie and just wants to be with her when she goes out into situations that might become dangerous. However, Maggie feels like he and his guys treat her like glass when they are with her. She feels she can do it all herself. She hightails it back to Philadelphia to resume her life and figure out what it is she wants. Though since she could be in danger due to the last time she went off on her own, he sends one of his teams to guard her.

I have read the last 6 books from the Reed Security series, and I liked them so much I decided to start at the beginning and read the entire series. I love how Giulia Lagomarsino has great humor, a terrific romantic suspense storyline, some ongoing threads and a hot and steamy love story in each book. When I started reading at book 21 or so, I didn’t feel like I was missing anything.

Each book can technically be read as a standalone, though there are some threads and references to things that happened in the past that I couldn’t wait to read about. Cap and Maggies story arc was one of those things and this book didn’t disappoint.

One of the things I had wondered about in later books was the panic room below Reed Security Headquarters. I wondered when the panic room was installed and why it was there and this book answered that question.

“They all made sounds of agreement and headed toward the vehicles located in the hidden garage off the panic room. There was a tunnel that let out in the woods about a mile from the Reed Security building. No one would be waiting for us because no one knew about the tunnel. It was one of the first features I had added to the building when I bought the place. Call me paranoid, but I knew there would be a day when we needed it. That day was today.”

The last 20% of the book was heartwarming, funny and hectic but it was terrific as well. I liked that there was an ending and not any sort of Cliffhanger. Though I will be moving right on to the next book in the series.

This is hard for me to review. I really liked the story and I adored Cap, but I could not STAND our leading lady, Maggie, for most of the book. This was weird because I might not have read the first part of their story, but I liked her in Sinner. No spoilers about the story, but she seemed bratty and spoiled and just someone I would not want to meet or even be around. Things change and get explained, but it still left a sour taste in my mouth.

The story just continued right on from Sinner and filled in blanks that were missing from the first book. I really liked how the author did that! All in all, the story line was good and I adored the main man, but wasn't a fan of the leading lady-3.5 outta 5 stars.

PS:I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Spoilers ahead ...

I'm not sure how I feel about these books overall so far. Mind you, this is only book #2 in the series, but they really aren't standalone books.

The 1st book with Cara and Mark/Sinner ended with Mark proposing with lollipops (her nickname) and it said their story continued in this book. Except it's not their story, so it didn't. Mark was only in it as far as Reed security goes. So it didn't feel like a very good continuation and I don't feel like I got closure of their story. I love series books where they have all the characters, but I don't like the continuation of one couple in tiny blurbs for a conclusion.

Back to this book for Maggie and Sebastian/Cap. Oh boy, there will be spoilers. The next paragraph will likely start them. I didn't really care for these guys in the first book. I didn't mind Maggie as much, but Sebastian was just not my cup of tea. So when I started this book, I still didn't really care for them. And at 10% in, I decided I just really didn't like them at all. He wanted everything his way and was terrible about communicating it and she was just a selfish "beach". Feel free to swap out that word accordingly. So I knew it was going to be a long book because I wanted it over already.

I'd like to say it got better. And perhaps it did at the 80% mark. Or maybe when they visited her grandparents... I would say the grandparents were the most sane and logical people in the book. They straightened out Maggie and Cap and got them back on track and were the best.

Maggie and Cap have an on/off relationship for a bit. For one, I don't even like relationships like that. I don't understand them because I think they're stupid. Either you want to be with somebody or you don't. I don't do the wishy-washy back and forth nonsense. But while they're not together, she finds out she's pregnant. They never talked about kids in the two years they were together. I want to know what the heck they were doing for 2 years together if not talking about some sort of future. I get that neither one progressed the relationship because they were both stuck in their own minds of what they wanted from each other, but how do you not know basics like that? Then she hid the pregnancy from him for a few days, maybe a week? I can't remember. As she was trying to process everything herself and really realizing she never wanted to be a mom and was kind of numb to the whole idea of being pregnant. She confirmed her pregnancy because she passed out with her security detail and Cap insisted she get taken to the hospital. She was advised of different options... Have the baby keep it, have the baby adopted out, or abortion. Knowing she never wanted to have a baby, she was thinking about abortion without even telling Cap she was pregnant in the first place! When she finally told Cap, he was excited and wanted to keep the baby. So they had a lot of back and forth about it "it's my body and I'm the one who has to go through the changes" vs "have the baby, I will take it, even if we're not together" was the basics along with not understanding that not every woman wants to be a mom. Ultimately, he told her he'd support her whatever her decision was even if he didn't like it, which obviously he didn't, and she chose abortion. She asked him to come to the clinic, and he declined and said he didn't want to be part of killing his child that he wanted.

All of her actions spoke of a selfish person throughout the entire book. And this part was no different. Her friends came and supported her at the clinic, but she went back there alone. Had the ultrasound and then they cut off at the beginning of the process. She didn't go through with it. She was hysterical. He got sense knocked into him to support her like he said and so he showed up to her hysterical. Thinking she was upset it was done, he comforted her. Found out she didn't do it and was upset she almost did after seeing the ultrasound. So many ups and downs. Oh, he also chipper her, "like a dog!" As she described it. Whaaaat?

The book had some big typos too. When Maggie was in labor, they were at Ryan's house and Cap got drunk. He passed out when Maggie said she was in labor. Mark helped get Cap in the car as a result... in the driver's side and then walked around to the other side to talk to Maggie. Indicating Maggie is a passenger and a drunk passed out man was going to drive the vehicle. Anyone else catch that? Because I read it like five times thinking I was reading it wrong and I was not. Sigh.

So then there's the ridiculousness of Maggie doing a story when she's ready in labor and naturally everything goes wrong. They have a tire blowout in the middle of nowhere. And it took over 2 hours for an ambulance to get to them because they didn't have a spare tire. By that point, they delivered the baby on the truck. Sigh. Really? Okay, whatever.

The final craziness was their wedding day. They had a shoot out for some unknown reason, and show up in combat gear and dirty. Sigh.

Happy... Happy.. Happy but curious and nervous at the same time. Wanna know why? Because after reading the first book from this series I knew that this one would be intense. And I'm always eager for a new challenge.
Before I tell you a bit more about this book I must tell you something else. In order to understand this particular book you must read Sebastian first. Their stories started in this book and you need to know the beginning. But if you're like me, I advise you to read For The Love of a Good Woman series first, then read Sinner, the first book in this series and then the new one. Trust me. Everything will make sense after that.
Cap is the second book from the Reed Security series and focus on the lifes of Cap aka Sebastian and Maggie.
Cap is the owner of Reed Security and is in love with Maggie. But love isn't an easy going when the person you love is stubborn as hell.
Maggie uses to be a reporter but her love for Sebastian made her move her life to be near him but his temper, as well as hers, is damaging their relationship...
Let me just say that when I finished this book I was a mess. These two are quite the characters...
The plot is amazing, well written, super engaging, emotional and intense.
There were parts of the book that I wanted to slap someone... Jeez... These two are more stubborn than a mule... It was infuriating to see hear two battling each other but I wouldn't change a thing.
I saw myself wanting to read non stop, and the way each chapter ended made it pretty impossible to stop...
I laughed, I cried, I cursed... But overall I loved every single word...
I didn't knee it was possible to love these characters more but I really do...
Guilia..
What are you doing to me? Your writing is making me hostage and I'm looking forward to start the next book from this series...

Cap is the continuation of Maggie and Sebastian's story. I loved them in For The Love of A Good Woman and that did not change in Cap. Now I have read several books in the Reed Security series and maybe out of order.

Maggie and Cap have a ton of issues. She's headstrong and independent, he's jealous and possessive. Cap wants Maggie to need him, and Maggie needs to be indepent. Their relationship is a constant push and pull. One never understanding what the other is fully thinking, because neither actually says it. These two were like two bombs going off.

"It was quick, hard, and explosive, but then it usually was with her."

The emotions I felt with this book I never expected. But Maggie and Cap deal with some hard, real life issues that just made me feel all the things. I'm not sure at all how I would have felt being either of them at times.

The laugh out loud moments are exactly what I love and expect from Giulia Lagomarsino and the Reed Security Series. The group of characters she has created just makes the series what it is. But don't think the action and lol moments stop her from adding all the hot and steamy scenes we love, because there are still plenty. Lagomarsino gives us this perfect mix of everything.

Cap and Maggie are an amazing 5 star read that had me on the edge of my seat. I could not get enough of them. It didn't matter if they were fighting or kissing I needed it all.

This is a different sort of review. I could have very easily given it a much higher review. It was very readable, I really enjoyed much of it and this aberration of a book has no effect on my plans to keep on with the series. So why such a low grade you may ask. Well, rarely have I loathed a heroine as much as I loathe Maggie. This is the second book about this couple, the first a number of books previously and one I haven’t, with zero plans to ever, read. But in this book Sebastian, our hero, is leader of a highly trained security company, made up mostly of former military, who take on many dangerous assignments. Maggie is an investigative reporter who has taken a hiatus when she and Cap as he is known as, began an intense relationship. This is all covered in the first book.

But now they seem to have reached an impasse in their relationship, 99% the fault of Maggie. Warning, I’m really going to let loose on this, the most selfish, self involved, uncaring, unfeeling female protagonist I’ve ever read. I’ve only hated one other FP (I refuse to call her heroine) in all my reading history as much as I despise this one. She completely disregards Caps almost pleading requests that she be careful before selfishly, thoughtlessly disappears. In her running straight into danger without a moment’s thought because it’s all about her, she puts others lives at risk in needing to rescue her. When this is pointed out, she doesn’t give a shit, it’s all me, me, me, me. Ugh, I hate her. Hate her hate her, hate her.

Cap is a bit over the top alpha for me but I totally get why he is. He’s military and is responsible for the lives of his teammates and he’s a very caring and loyal and upstanding guy. There’s a lot I do like about this book. I love the camaraderie between the guys, there is great banter and lots of black humour, which I’m a huge fan of. The storyline is interesting and the book hard to put down. Interesting and grey characters abound. One in particular is introduced and he is fascinating. He has his own book soon which I’m really excited to dive into. But alas, my disgust and hatred of the MFC is too overwhelming.

wow

I love this series!

Sebastian is the owner of his security business and Maggie is a journalist who is always on the go.
He wants to marry Maggie but she always seems to have one foot out the door.

Maggie feels that Sebastian doesn’t want to commit and they don’t talk about the future.

They take a break from their relationship when there is a target on their back from a job Sebastian took, and there is a twist to complicate their relationship.

This is steamy and good!

Cap (Sebastian) was fantastic and the continuation of his and Maggie’s story. I loved the push and pull between Cap and Maggie and they were perfect for each other. Their story is an emotional one with ups and downs, danger, suspense, and secrets.

At least the ending was good

When you hate one of the two main characters through the whole book, it sucks. Maggie is awful. AWFUL. I kept hoping there would be something that changed, but nope. There’s being an independent woman, and being a selfish dumb*ss. She was the latter. And I guess I’m missing something from another series, because there are characters that could use a little more rounding. Don’t need to give them a huge part, but to someone just coming in, the reader gets confused. I’ve like the other characters so far, so I’ll keep reading, but ugh, work on Maggie, would ya?

I have to start out on my soapbox for a quick second, see Cap is the second part to Sebastian and Maggie's story, so YOU MUST READ Sebastian FIRST! At this point, Sebastian & Maggie are on 2 different pages, and when he suggested that they take a break, she goes along with it. He wants to protect her because Maggie seems to attract trouble like nobody's business. So she's moved out, back to her house trying to get a job back at her old newspaper. They're both miserable, but he doesn't know what to do to make her come home. However, she's got a secret that will be a game changer, and keeping it from him will be even harder, because since Reed Security is under attack, she's got her own protection. This story was very hard to read, because all of my emotions were involved. I LOVE both Sebastian & Maggie, but I'm not going to lie, when Sebastian's friends were being hateful to Maggie, I was mad as hell. It's not that I wasn't having a hard time with Maggie's issues, I was, but they were crossing a line at that point. Then when the game changed, everyone got worse, not giving her time, yeah, I was even more emotional. My emotions quickly turned into my heart racing because of the twists turning into action, while my f-bombs dropped. Of course, once everyone was back together in the safe house, emotions were back to being out of control, because I was upset at both Maggie & Sebastian. Yeah, Giulia Lagomarsino took me on a bumpy ride with this story. So I'm going to end this review right now, because I don't want to inadvertently give away how my emotions ended, so I'll just HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Oh Mags!

I love love loved the story, and I love how Giulia gives us where we are in the time line of the previous books. Maggie for me ws really unlikeable in this book, and it has nothing to do with the "situation" she finds herself in. She seemed like such a whining brat, her way or no way. I will say towards the end of the book she was far more enjoyable than the 1st half. All in all I'm finding that with these book series I either love them or hate them, which isn't a bad thing necessarily because you can love everything you read; and I'd go as far to say the ones that frustrate you, ones that make you angry etc stay with you longer that a book that was just a "good" book:) Im really getting into these books, I haven't read a book, let alone a book series that pulls such strong emotions out of me!

In the For the Love of a Good Woman, Cap was one of my favorite male leads. Maggie.. not so much. I just couldn’t stand how selfish she was in terms of having this great looking man who worshipped the ground she walked on and still not giving him the love he deserved in return. It was much the same in this book even getting to a scene where I literally hated Maggie, because while I’m all for women having the primary and only decision on what to do with their bodies, as a woman, I couldn’t stand seeing how much she was hurting Cap.

Thankfully, the author managed to turn things around and ended this book with a bang.. a literal bang with shots fired and everything. So far I’m loving this series more than the previous one and I cannot wait to continue!

Cap is the continuation of Maggie and Sebastian’s story from Sebastian and after the events of Sinner. I really liked this couple in the ‘For The Love Of A Good Woman’ series and from what I know of them in the this one and I loved seeing more from them.

I think Maggie and Sebastian are a perfect example of two different and clashing personalities coming together in something that is just right for them. Sebastian is a man who is demanding, possessive, and commanding. From his years of service and to now being the boss this man is used to being in charge. Maggie is fiercely independent, stubborn, and all out pain in the arse for Sebastian. But together they are explosive in a way that just works.

These characters consistently clash with each other and it creates a few problems but it is what makes their relationship so fun to read. The ability they have to drive one another insane but always connect and come back is what keeps readers engaged. Giulia has these characters face a very difficult topic when it comes to differences of opinions and my heart was breaking for the both of them as they tried to navigate that situation. Through character growth these two come out stronger than before but they don’t lose that ability they have to keep each other on their toes, their relationship stays unique to them and it’s something we will continue to see throughout the series.

As is common with this series going forward Giulia expertly weaves in humour to break up the drama and action all her characters are facing. I’ve never known a group of characters to get themselves into so much trouble but for it to be so funny at the same time. There are a few scenes that stand out in this book when it comes to the humour that are just that perfect example of the kind of shenanigans these characters find themselves in but you’re better experiencing it for yourselves.

Caveman Compromise that should have been the title of this book. Sebastian is the poster man for alpha neanderthals. He seems to be entrenched in 1940's ideals about women and how life is supposed to be once you fall in love. Maggie is the complete opposite of the stay at home wife that is taking care of the kids and doing dishes. She loves the chase of the story and she refuses to give up all of her hopes and dreams to fit into the mold that Cap(Sebastian) has made for her. These polar opposite ideas causes the two of them to take a break from their relationship but during this time the poop hits the fan and it looks like they are done for good. Can Cap learn that if he really wants Maggie he must learn to make some compromises also? Can Maggie learn that making compromises does not mean she is giving up on her hopes and dreams just modifying them a little? Is there enough love between these two to overcome the incredible odds against them? Their journey to discovering what a feature together may hold is full of drama, suspense, humor, tears, sadness and joy. I really enjoyed this installment of the Reed Security Series. I felt it did a good job of presenting and addressing the emotions, thoughts and struggles that many women have to face in life at some point. I highly recommend this one and this series. This is the second book I have read in this series and both have been entertaining reads. I look forward to reading more in this series and what appears to be a related series in the future.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the second book in an amazing series, focusing on Cap and Maggie's story. It is recommended to read Sebastian (For the Love of a Good Woman #5) first, as it sets the stage for their relationship. Cap, the owner of Reed Security, is in love with Maggie, but their strong personalities make it challenging for them to connect. Will they be able to compromise and make their relationship work?

In this book, Cap and Maggie finally find their happily ever after, but not without some drama and mystery. Maggie's tendency to find trouble leads to challenges. Their push -and -pull dynamic evolves into a deeper understanding of each other's needs, making them a perfect match. The story is filled with love, strength, and growth, making it a satisfying conclusion to their journey.

Cap and Maggie's relationship faces obstacles as they navigate their feelings and expectations. Maggie yearns for more than just being loved; she wants to be indispensable to Cap. Their journey of self-discovery and mutual understanding leads to a pivotal moment where they must decide if they can truly be together.

The story is filled with tension, emotion, and growth, making it a compelling read. Overall, it is a captivating conclusion to Sebastian and Maggie's love story, filled with laughter, suspense, danger, and heartbreak.

Their journey is a rollercoaster of emotions, making them a memorable couple. I highly recommend this book and the series as a whole for an entertaining and engaging read.

This well-written story is intense, emotional, and humorous, keeping the reader engaged throughout. I highly recommend it and look forward to more from this talented author.

Cap is the second book in the Reed Security Romance series. Giulia knows how to grab your attention right from the start. Her writing style is one that has you sitting on the edge of your seat. Giulia throws twist and turns in throughout the book that has your head spinning.

Cap, Sebastian, who is the owner of Reed Security, has loved Maggie for along time but she is always running and he is always chasing and saving her. He doesn't understand why she keeps risking her life and not asking for back-up. He loves her but can't understand why it feels she always has one foot out the door instead of keeping both inside with him.

Maggie wants more from Cap but feels they are at a stand still. She thinks she wants more but she is always running towards danger. She left her job and life that she had to live with Cap but feels she is just a guest. She is strong willed and will not follow orders. She feels she can do everything on her own.

Cap & Maggie's relationship is one that has a tone of issues. Neither one of them know what to say or maybe even what the problems are.

This story was fast paced and riveting. Giulia never disappoints with her writing. She knows how to get you so invested in the storyline that you cannot put it down.

Download it. Read it. May be a triggers (kinda was for me), but a worthwhile read

So Guliana is a new to me author. This is the second book I read, and I’m an addict. I struggled with this one, no lie, and Maggie was one of those characters that I almost hated, but I kept going, and I ended up loving her. I got it - where she was - but it isn’t something I could empathize with in all honesty, so there were two chapters I didn’t want to read, but did...and I was satisfied with where things went. With the happily ever after. And the ending(s) were amazing.

So now that you read this super cryptic review (spoilers without spoilers), the pervasive thought (and my only criticism of this book: Sebastian. Seb*bast*tian. The “Cap” nickname was redeeming, but long names and sexy books don’t pair well...the long name kinda broke some of the sexy in the sex scenes. “She called out his name” during furious and fast hook ups, and and Sebastian just doesn’t come out easily if he’s doing it right (and Cap didn’t register outside of action scenes).

I need a book for Knight.

Ummm.... No... WTH?

Cap & Maggie: TRIGGERS: hostage, car chases, bomb, assault, domestic abuse. I'm gonna say this right off the bat. I did not like Maggie. She's was unbelievably selfish throughout the book and wanted everything her way. It was very hard to continue reading the book with how disgusted I was with her character. The author keeps going back and forth from calling characters by their nickname and using their actual name so it was confusing at times who was whom. Also, all of the employees of REED security went on the run to a safe house but WTF, you just left Cara. What is she not at risk too since she's connected to Reed security by way of sinner? I've read lots of MC romance books where they have to go on lock down. In which case, EVERYONE directly connected to the members is brought into the clubhouse and locked in the clubhouse. I feel like they just left her high and dry with no one to watch her back. 🤦🏾‍♀️. The sinner proposal is random within the story and kind of dumb, that was the point of that?

I read this book because there is another book in the series that I want to read, but I am trying to read the books in order. The FMC, Maggie, is so unlikable in this book that I found it very difficult to get through. She had no redeeming qualities. She was extremely selfish and put other people in danger. Maggie did not take Sebastian’s feelings into consideration, and she was very mean to him. I don’t know why Sebastian would want to be with her. I did not read the other series preceding this one, so maybe in that series their love story was good, but in this book that relationship was toxic. By time, they finally work things out and get together it was too late to feel a connection to the couple or even like Maggie. She considered getting rid of their baby without any consideration to him, but expected his support. She forgot their wedding day to chase after a story. I think it was meant to be cute but by that time it was just overly annoying. I was actually hoping she would be killed off at that time so Sebastian could have a restart and a whole new story.

This story has been quite enjoyable. Cap is the 2nd part to Sebastian and Maggie's story - I read Sebastian first so I would recommend that. At the beginning of part 2 Sebastian and Maggie are not seeing eye to eye and take a break due to Sebastian’s suggestion. Maggie moves back to her house and tries to get a her job back at the newspaper. Sebastian is miserable, they both are but he doesn’t know what to do to make her come home. Little does Sebastian know, Maggie has a big secret that will change everything. It’s going to only get harder because Reed Security is under attack, and Maggie had to get her own protection. I found parts of this story frustrating- the behaviour and nonsense- this book is emotional and some of the behaviour was hard to swallow so this book in the series isn’t my favourite.

The story has laughs, pain, secrets, suspense, danger, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below, I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Sinner (A Reed Security, #1)

This is Maggie and Cap’s story. Maggie and Cap love each other but she wants their relationship to move forward and she thinks he does not. He is waiting for her to want to settle down and not chase after all the stories that she does. She constantly is getting into trouble and he must help her out. When she leaves him, he sends people to protect her, but they are not happy about doing it. Secrets are revealed and danger is all around. Can she really be protected, or will she run right toward danger and her herself hurt or worst?

I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. Very emotional story that will have several triggers for some. But all and all it was a great story.

I highly recommend this book.

The second book in the Red Security series is one that I never imagined reading about the Cap himself. In Sinner's book we see him as a tough boss yet to Maggie he is so much more. The chemistry and sexual tension is all there but what I loved the most about Maggie is she is no damsel in distress. Boy the things she does just gets Sebastian temperature rising lol in a funny and oh man hillarious ways. Maggie in some ways is wanting adventure and following her dreams even though her heart still wants Sebastian. Now this is a woman worth chasing and the Cap is always running lol. This was more than suspense but in my opinion full of comedy between these two. A great addition to the series and man cannot wait to see more of this team. Loved it.

This is the second book in the series and it is the conclusion of Sebastian and Maggie’s story. As I did not read the original book, Sebastian: A Mystery Romance For Love of a Good Woman book 5, I recommend reading it first and then reading Cap to see how these two developed into their relationship. When it comes to this storyline, Sebastian and Maggie are on two different pages and in order to protect her, Sebastian decides that they need to separate. This leaves them both miserable but once the deed is done, Sebastian’s challenge is how to make her see that she needs to return home. However, Maggie is harboring a secret that she is keeping from Sebastian. This is one ride that reminds one of sitting on the back of the bus and jumping high every time the bus hit a pot hole. It pulls out all the emotions one can feel when reading. This is another exciting read from the Reed Security Series. I volunteered to read a copy of this book.

This book is about Sebastian ("Cap") and the girl he loves, Maggie. Sebastian owns a security company and Maggie was an investigative reporter but came to work for him when they fell in love. Maggie really, really doesn't want to give up her career, but Sebastian worries that she's in too much danger and it leads to many arguments. Will they break up over it? And what if she gets pregnant? Which would be more important to Maggie, a baby or her career? There is a lot of personal drama in this book as Sebastian leads his company in their efforts to protect people, and then Maggie tries to find out if her parents' death was really accidental. I highly recommend this book, and the others in the Reed Security Series to those who like some suspense with their romantic stories.
