This is the third book in the Reed Security Series and should be read in order.
“I don’t think I’m going to like this.” “Doesn’t matter. You promised you would be nice to me today, so you have to do what I say.” “I don’t think being nice to you equates to doing whatever you say.” “Come on. It’ll be fun,” she said, wiggling her eyebrows up and down. “That’s what Sinner used to say and then we’d end up in jail in Mexico.” “This is me we’re talking about. How bad could it be?” “If I let you do whatever it is you’re about to do, there are ground rules.” “Fine, lay it on me.” “There will be no painting any of my nails or dying my hair. I’m not an experiment for you.” “It’s nothing like that. I just want to give you a massage. We should try to loosen up your muscles. I bet it would really feel good after doing PT.” She said it like she wanted to help, but all my d!@k heard was ‘it would feel really good’. There was no way in hell this was a good idea, but I had told her I would be nice to her. “Fine.” “Yes! Okay, you go in your bedroom and strip down and put a towel around your waist. Lie on your stomach and I’ll be in as soon as I have all the stuff I need.” “Whoa, whoa, whoa. You didn’t say anything about getting naked or laying on my bed.” “Are you chicken?” “Why are you always baiting me?” “Why are you afraid to lie down on a bed naked and let me touch you?” She asked innocently enough, but I could see the way her eyes trailed down my body momentarily. “I don’t think this is a good idea.” “You don’t think anything is a good idea. Now, go do what I said.” She turned and walked away, leaving me staring where she once stood and wondering how the hell I was going to keep my body under control with her touching me. “I’ll be ready in five minutes and I’ll be coming in whether you’re ready or not!”
Cazzo has always been the strong man that leads his team into danger and ensures their safety. But when Cazzo is shot protecting Vanessa Adams, he finds himself feeling like half the man that he used to be. When things don’t appear to be getting better with him, Cap takes things into his own hands by forcing him to protect the woman that got him into this mess to begin with.
Vanessa has always been under her father’s thumb, but when the man protecting her is almost killed, she knows that she needs to figure out what’s going on behind her father’s secretive demeanor. After finding herself under Sam’s protection once again, it becomes more and more difficult to decide if she wants things to move forward with him or if she wants to finally have a life of her own.

The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: ❤️💜💙💚💛 Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Story/Plot: 📙📕📗 World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌎🌎 Character development: 😟😣🙃🙂🥰
The heroine:Vanessa - Her father is a shady character who offers her hand in marriage in exchange for a debt he owes, so she goes to Reed Security for protection, and specifically requests Cazzo since she has the hots for him.
The Hero(es):Sam Galmacci (a.k.a. Cazzo) - He fell for Vanessa while protecting her for Reed Security and wakes up in the hospital after having been shot. Cazzo is used to being in control and his recovery isn’t going like he wants so he is not a happy camper.
The Story: Cap asks Cazzo to protect Vanessa again though he has doubts about his ability to protect himself much less someone else. I love this series and all the characters, but sometimes I hate books about overcoming adversity like this. Because before the character overcomes, they have to be in the adverse situation for some time, in a static condition.
I couldn’t feel bad for Cazzo because he was too busy feeling bad for himself. Though I know (from experience) that it sometimes takes a while to deal with a medical situation that isn’t progressing how you would like and every person is allowed to dwell in it for a while and do the whole “why me?” thing.
In this case it could have been so much worse and being former military I am sure he has seen much worse. So he was shot and it was a pain in the butt to have to learn to walk again, even more so because it was taking longer than he hoped. But at least he has two legs and he has feeling in them, so he will walk again. Millions of people are worse off.
Don’t get me wrong though. I don’t mind books where the main character is handicapped, blind, deaf, or anything like that. I just like it when they are strong and not in a funk about the situation. Though I do realize people have every right to go through a period like that, I just don’t feel the need to read about it. Though I didn’t want to miss any of the other storylines in this book, so I read on.
It turned out the book was good. Though a very big part of it was about Sam’s troubles getting on his feet again. This book takes place during the same time period and the first two books, Sinner and Cap. So we saw a lot of the same things happen as in those books, but from a different point of view and relative to Cazzo and Vanessa’s lives.
This book was steamier than Cap and Maggie’s tale and I liked the relationship between Sam and Vanessa. Though there were aspects I didn’t like as much. The humor and camaraderie between the guys at Reed Security was there. Which I really like throughout the series.
I couldn't decide where I was with this book. But I decided it was 3.5 stars and I rounded down, though I almost rounded up. And yes, my review will absolutely have spoilers in the upcoming paragraphs.
This story could easily have been written after the first one as well. Either order wouldn't have mattered much because the timelines run parallel, which I'm never crazy about because there's always some kind of inconsistencies between the storylines.
These books have to be read in order for sure and they don't always wrap up very well for each story. Which I personally find very annoying. I still haven't gotten my closure from the first book with Cara and Mark.
I will also say that the first two books had a "cast of characters" listed at the beginning and I often referred to it because I can't keep the name straight. Half the book is their given name and the other half is their nickname. And when it comes to all the secondary characters, I think Ice is Chris. But it could have easily been John. So to have the reference at the beginning of the book was nice and this book did not have that anymore. So I literally went to the book prior to see why her last name at the hospital was so shocking to him. It was his last name! But I didn't know that until I checked the old cast. So things like that were annoying too. The back and forth between names was just too much to keep straight overall.
I get that Cazzo was upset with the world because of his injury. Though he didn't blame anyone which was good. But the way he treated her throughout this entire book, was not okay. It was absolutely abusive. And I get that you take out your frustrations and your anger and your hurt on the person by you, but Vanessa didn't do anything. She was literally there wanting to be with him. And I get that it's a macho man thing too, but that doesn't make it okay. And this book seemed to make it okay. And something she has to accept which I just disagree with.
He didn't want to do protective duty for her because he was attracted to her. And he wanted to be the man that he was before, but I felt like he went about everything the wrong way.
They eventually get into their routine and it's fine for a little bit and then they have to go into hiding because of Knight. But his actions while in hiding were absolutely stupid. And did totally get her killed. Thankfully they were able to revive her, but seriously? You are on duty so to speak and protecting the person you love, and you're going to sneak them off into the night to screw them? Really? How dumb can you get? And then of course she gets taken but she can't swim because she grew up as a little rich girl that never did anything thanks to her daddy and she drowns. Legit drowns.
And then his solution is to leave her? That's just like the prior book where Cap left Maggie on her own for the abortion. What is wrong with these men? Are they seriously that stupid? Well, obviously they are! Because he left her. And then he goes and drinks a crapload of liquor and decides the world is better off without him so he calls his parents to say goodbye forever and then proceeds to take out his gun to shoot himself. And the only reason he wasn't successful was because his teammates came to his rescue! What. The. F. Kind of story is that? He's a freaking Marine! (I think that was his branch). And he's seen so much s***, but knowing the woman he loves is in the hospital, he chooses to leave and get drunk and shoot himself. And that makes a good story? I think not.
I will say the rest of the story wasn't terrible once you got past that. But then there's also Vanessa who was raised prim and proper and says things that I wouldn't expect a person of her background saying, such as "helluva guy". I have no words.
So yeah, The story is okay. The first book was my favorite. And at this point they're going downhill. I hope that Knight's book and the rest of them get better. I actually want to read Hunter's book. And right now I can't even remember his nickname. So I'm hoping that the cast of characters comes back otherwise I'm going to have to refer to the first damn book which is super annoying!
I've been reading non stop this couple of days and let me just say that I'm loving every moment of it. Each book made me even more addicted to this author and I'm loving it. If you have been following my reviews you know that I've been reading this author's books for a while now and each book made me feel things that I can't describe. All I can say is that you need to read all them and see for yourself. First I advise you to read For The Love of a Good Woman and then start Reed Security series. In this last case, you really need to because this new book keep telling us the story that started in the first book. Cazzo is the third book from this series and tells the stories of Cazzo and Vanessa. Cazzo is part owner of Reed Security firm. With his war brothers they open it up and have been going along jobs together. While doing a job he got severely injured and has been living in hell. But... Vanessa needed to be protected and what better security that Reed Security but what she thought would be just a simple case turned out to be one hell of a lot. But one look to one sexy man and her heart was doomed. What will you do when the person who should love you unconditionally betrays you? Superb, brutal, intense... All words that crossed my mind when I ended this book. Lete just say that you need this series.... Amazing plot, well written, super detailed, engaging and so much more. The chemistry between the characters was brutal and so intense that only happy flings crossed my mind... But let me just say that not everything was a bed of roses... There were parts of the book that I wanted to slap someone, dayum, stubborn as hell, but there were others that I wanted to hold them and promise that everything would be alright. How can you overcome your fears? How can you become a stronger person when you are afraid to fail? There are no concrete answers to this, so you must fight, trust, and see what happens. I've been reading this series and I can't describe how much I love them all. Each book presented us with a new character that makes me super curious to know more. Giulia... You're nailing it. I can't get enough. Can't wait to start the next book.
Vanessa hears her father has offered her to someone as a wife for the debt he owes them, with the help of a guard she leaves and heads to a friend’s house, she didn’t expect her friend to betray her, or that when she was about to run, Sinner blocked the car coming for her, telling her to get in. When Cap turns up telling Cazzo/Sam he has a protection detail, he never expected it to be Vanessa, the woman he wanted but couldn’t have. Cazzo sees himself as broken with not being able to walk, but he still wants Vanessa but not until he’s capable of protecting her. Vanessa continually pushes him and tricks him to prove her point, finally he decides he needs to change something if he wants to be the man she needs. Cazzo can’t fight it anymore and head to Vanessa’s room, seeing her crying, when she tells him it was over a dream that felt so real, he knows he has to tell her that it was real, and they can’t keep fighting what’s between them anymore. With everything that keeps going on when they finally might have a chance at happiness, Vanessa knows she has to leave, she has to figure out who she is, without the hiding or her father telling her what to do, she needs to choose her. Sam has to deal with what he did while they were on the job, and, is taken off the team and get cleared by a shrink, he knows he needs to decide what he wants to do now, and he doesn’t know if it involves staying with Reed Security. Will they both work there way back to each other after they have worked out what they want.
I really liked Cazzo's story! Like the previous books in the series, it seems like a continuation of the previous books for the overall story and fills in blanks while focusing specifically on Cazzo and Vanessa. I LOVE these characters, Cazzo is working to get back to his previous self and it is NOT easy but when Vanessa is thrown back into the mix, it gives him an incentive. Vanessa is pretty awesome herself and has a strong backbone. This book was heartbreakng and fullfilling at the same time, I totally dug it!! 4.5 outta 5 stars from me!
PS:I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.
continuing.... Cazzo is injured and feeling out of sorts. Vanessa is the current client they are protecting. She is hiding out with him until things are sorted. Again the author combines actions, romance and emotions into a good story. She helps him and he helps her. They are a good match. keeps you on your toes
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the third book in the Reed Security Series and it’s incredible! Cazzo was injured while protecting Vanessa and when she’s in need of help again, he doesn’t feel he’s capable of protecting her. Vanessa and Cazzo’s chemistry is palpable. Their story is filled with drama, suspense, secrets, and chemistry. Highly recommend.
This book has an intense and gripping storyline and characters that provide humor, camaraderie and some very intense moments for the team. There are twists and turns you don’t see coming but keep you captivated. Vanessa is back in the protection of Reed Security. Her storyline starts in book one of this series Sinner. Her father wants to barter her off to settle a debt, but she runs away to Reed Security. Sam (Cazzo) is assigned to her, but things go wrong and he ends up getting shot and losing the use of his legs and feeling useless and depressed, but Vanessa is back and asking for their help once again. This time she's helping him to recover and trying to hide from the assassin her father has hired to find and take care of her. They both need to work out their feelings for each other, so what better way than hiding out together and staying out of danger, but will that be enough?
Fun, sexy mexy, plenty of action and yes at times tears.
This is by far the best series and the offspring series I have read this year.
The complex threads that Giulia weaves her stories, and her characters keeps you coming back for more. You will be riveted to the pages and find that hours have passed by the time you manage to pull yourself away.
You will laugh your arse off when you are not sweating through the action.
I have been reading Giulia for a while and I was waiting for Cazzo's, Sam, story. He intrigued me since day one and the relationship or the pull towards Vanessa was going to be an interesting storyline. Guilia does it again with her details, twists and turns and a storyline that you are unable to put down.
Cazzo, Sam has been attracted to Vanessa since Reed Security started protecting her. He wants a relationship but knows that he cannot have one because she is a client. When tragedy hits both of them and Sam gets injured how will this affect his relationship with her and his job? When he sees himself as a man that cannot offer anything to Vanessa or even do the job that he loves. Cap comes to him with not so much as a job but needing help with keeping someone safe at Cazzo's secured house. Who could be in so much trouble that Cap is asking Cazzo to help out, well it was Vanessa. Cazzo is adamant that he cannot protect her because of his situation. Cap told him not to worry because there will be a crew assigned to her staying in his guest house. Will Cazzo be able to handle having Vanessa so close? Will he fight the feelings he has of love but also will he push her away because he is not the man that he once was?
Vanessa has always had feelings for Cazzo but things never happened until one night at a fundraiser. They were both in danger and unfortunately Cazzo was seriously injured. In steps her father again there goes her independence and safety. When she hears her father's plan for her, she leaves again with the help of one of the guards. She trusted the worn person and is back on the run again but Sinner picks her up. Once again Reed Security will be protecting her but where and by who? When she finds out that she will be staying with Cazzo she is happy but it breaks her heart to see him the way he is. She is determined to show him that he is still a man that has a lot to offer and the one she loves. Vanessa does everything to help but all seems to backfire on her. Can she get him to lower his walls, let her in and help him? When she is in danger again, who will save her?
Vanessa and Cazzo's story is not all good times and happiness. They have a lot of suffering, fighting and self-pity but also love and wanting. Their chemistry was evident right from the start. This book was so full of details and emotions that it was impossible to put down. Cazzo is a must-read and a standalone however I would suggest starting with the first book in the Reed Security series to get a feeling for all the characters.
Cazzo picks up the midst of all the action that’s happened so far in this series but this time we’re focusing on Sam and Vanessa. Giulia alludes to something more between these characters earlier on in the series but they then end up taking a back seat, they’re now centre stage and their story will capture your attention and your heart.
Giulia does a fantastic job of blending action, romance, and tribulation in the latest addition to this series. Sam and Vanessa are both having to come to terms with some difficult situations on their own, their lives as they know it have exploded and neither of them are sure on what lays ahead. In one another they come to find a calm in the storm, someone they can turn to, someone they very quickly fall for. I was so wrapped up in their story that I couldn’t put the book down and when it came to some of the more difficult scenes of the book my heart was breaking for Sam. These characters make for a magnificent couple and I just wanted them to get their happy ending after all they’ve been through.
The action, like with all books in this series, creates some very vivid imagery that draws you into the narrative until you’re so engrossed you completely shut off the outside world. Simply put I cannot get enough of these characters and all the things that happen to them. Humour is expertly woven throughout the book and these scenes always stand out when I think back on the series and some of my favourite moments from each book. The humour provides a nice change of pace and gives all the characters greater depth. It is so clear to see why the members of Reed Security consider each other family.
As with this series each book could be read as a standalone but you gain so much more from having read them in order. This is a fantastic series that you have to try, it will always leave you wanting more.
I’m addicted to this series! Giulia Lagomarsino has just hooked me and I’m not sorry. I also have read a few of these books out of order but it hasn’t effected the other books for me.
Vanessa and Cazzo meet because Vanessa ends up needing a security detail and well Reed Security is one of the best. Cazzo is a broken man, and my heart actually broke for him. He was injured and unsure if he would ever be whole again. Vanessa is in hiding because her father promised her to marry a man he owed money to. I just can’t even imagine the betrayal that she would feel.
Cazzo is an emotional roller coaster for sure, and I would expect nothing less from Lagomarsino and the Reed Security series. The connection these two had jumped off the pages but the heartache and pain they had burnt the pages. Cazzo’s recovery and inability to do things and his own anger at that really stopped him from being able to fully let go with Vanessa. I think sometimes we don’t really realize how much someone is suffering until something major happens and we’re forced to see it. When things happen and Cazzo feels like he can’t take care of Vanessa and does what he does I think it’s a wake up call to everyone. And just like in life sometimes we ignore things or are so caught up in our own lives we don’t fully see the things happening with others.
Cazzo is an emotional, steamy, amazing book. Giulia Lagomarsino once again had me hooked from start to finish, I turned page after page in this book and didn’t realize how far I was until it was almost over. The only thing I regret is that it ended. Cazzo is the perfect addition to this series and I cannot wait to read the next book.
I LOVE these Reed Security men so much, although they do seem to make some serious mistakes along the way. This is Cazzo's story, and he is yummy. He's always been the strong man to lead his team in any danger and keeps them safe. But his last assignment left him injured, and now he is feeling like less than a man while trying to heal, and refuses to ask for any help. Cap is done with the crap, and decides to make things uncomfortable for Cazzo, by placing the woman that Cazzo was protecting in his house, along with his team. Vanessa is a woman who is on the run from her father, who she can't believe would give her to a bad man, though she's always been under his control. Sam, aka Cazzo, is cranky, which at first upsets her, but after talking to his teammates, she starts to really push his buttons, so he will participate in his own recovery. This is another great story that had me gripped in its pages cover to cover. Vanessa & Cazzo had sparks flying everywhere, and at first, they had to creative, which I found very realistic, but still lit the sky up. Then, there were the twists that came out of nowhere, I mean, of course it was know that this story was romantic suspense, but trust me, there are twists that will shock the f-bombs right out of you! Afterwards, it will pull every known feeling out as well. The cast of secondaries also added in more depth for your reading pleasure. This was another fantastic story by the fantastic Giulia Lagomarsino that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Vanessa hears her father has offered her to someone as a wife for the debt he owes them, with the help of a guard she leaves and heads to a friend’s house, she didn’t expect her friend to betray her, or that when she was about to run, Sinner blocked the car coming for her, telling her to get in. This one came oh so close to 4 stars but I thought it dragged on for too long. I kept expecting to read the last page but not quite yet, then again, then again. And each extension had an added sex scene and each were almost identical. So it was only in the last bit it became 3 stars.
The two main characters, Vanessa and Cazzo, had met in a previous book. She was the daughter of very wealthy businessman and he was assigned as her bodyguard. They were both wildly attracted to the other but things went south and Cazzo was shot in the spine and lost the use of his legs. She went on to be be guarded by another security company and he became very bitter at how life had treated him
They meet again when the head of the security company, Sean, hero of the last book, clues in that something is very wrong and her father is somehow involved. He needs a pace where he can hide Vanessa and Cazzo’s home it is. Neither want this. Cazzo is still completely gone for Vanessa but thinks he’s only half a man and can’t guard her and Vanessa feels horrible and blames herself for his injuries.
This is a romantic suspense and a good one it is with the mystery of who wants her and can a Cazzo take care of her. And what happens between the two of them. It’s clear they feel deeply for each other but can they work through their own issues. I enjoyed this book and plan to keep going on in the series.
Sam and Vanessa were meant to be. Vanessa has spent her whole life being taken care of but at the same time not allowed to be the person she wants to be, allowed to do what she wants to do, allowed to pursue the life she wants to pursue. Sam was injured while protecting Vanessa, now he is in a wheel chair and feels like he is useless. When Vanessa learns her father is not who she thought he was and that he plans on forcing her to marry a man to pay for his debt, she runs. She runs right back into the arms of the man she feels safest with, Sam. Each of them are battling massive self esteem and trust issues, but the attraction for each other is off the charts and love is blooming. Can both Sam and Vanessa find more strength in each other or will they continue on the lonely path that they have traveled so far?
I am really liking this series and the related series, For the Love of A Good Woman. I have read everything completely out of order and wish I had paid attention and read it in order but even with doing that I have loved each book I have read and can't wait to read more. I highly recommend both of these series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Action, introspection and romance Finally ! Since the time I was waiting to find out what was going to happen to Vanessa, the heiress of a great fortune, who has been on the run since her father was linked to a arm dealer who wants to kill her. Finally, this is what seemed to be but rather quickly we understand that her father wants to trade her because he has a debt of $ 15 million with a thug. She is rescued by the REED Security team who lets her with the one who already saved her life, Cazzo. (for the translation of his name, look on the internet). He received a bullet to protect her and since then he has temporarily lost the use of his legs. This story stretches between action novel and romance in which the two characters are lost and looks for themselves because their two lives exploded and they must rebuild themselves with or without the support of the other. I loved the way the emotions are described when the characters are depressed or euphoric. If we read the previous books, the beginning may seem a little long, but someone who does not know the series, has all the necessary material to understand the characters of the "Reed Security" series. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Sam, aka Cazzo, is the 3rd book of the Reed Security Series. While Cazzo is on security detail protecting Vanessa, he throws himself in front of a bullet meant for her and ends up hospitalized to remove the bullet and repair internal damages. Afterwards he can't feel his legs. Back home, Vanessa learns her father is going to barter her in marriage to an arms dealer to settle his debt. She escapes her father and ends up back under the protection of Reed Security. Then she is hidden in Cazzo's home because they believe it's the last place anyone would look for her.
Things really start to heat up. Cazzo doesn't want Vanessa with him because being confined in a wheelchair means he may not be in a position to protect her and feeling helpless affects his man card. Still, having no choice, she moves in with him and his assigned security team. Trouble starts. Danger lurks around every corner. An attempt is made to capture Vanessa and she drowns, gets revived, then she walks away from Cazzo. Then he walks away from Reed Security. Things look hopeless for them ever being together. But somehow love walks them back to each other.
Sam, also known as Cazzo, is the protagonist in the 3rd book of the Reed Security Series. While protecting Vanessa, he takes a bullet meant for her. Their future together seems uncertain, but love ultimately brings them back to each other.
Their journey to a happily ever after is filled with obstacles. They are complete opposites in Cazzo's mind, but in reality, they are perfect for each other. Vanessa, who comes from wealth, is down -to -earth like the rest of them. One of their obstacles stems from their differing views on marriage.
This installment is a non-stop mystery and suspense, full of family drama, secrets, betrayals, love, and loss. Vanessa's time in OPS care provides many laughs and grins.
The couple has explosive chemistry and is truly meant for each other. However, when one party lays their heart on the line and the other just takes it, it's time to move on.
We applaud Vanessa for moving on and chasing her dreams. The story is engaging from cover to cover, and the OPS team adds depth to the plot. The unexpected twist towards the end adds to the excitement. An awesome read!
The story has laughs, pain, secrets, suspense, danger, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below, I would recommend reading those books(s) first Sinner (A Reed Security, #1) Cap (Reed Security, #2)
This is Vanessa and Cazzo’s story. Cazzo was injured when trying to protect Vanessa but when she needs protection again, he wants to help but does not believe in his condition that he would be of any help. When he really has to step up for protection, he does but will it be enough? The chemistry is there but with his feeling of not being enough will he push her away one too many times and lose her? When she gets hurt will that be the point that he needs to walk away? If so, will he lose everything if he is not careful? Is there any hope for a future with these two?
I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. Very emotional story that will have several triggers for some. But all and all it was a great story.
Wow, I love this series. Just when you think you know where the story is going, boom , an event or series of events just blow it up and leaves you scrambling for what is to come next. The topics that are covered in this series are serious ones but this author pulls these characters through with grace while enhancing the story to bring out your thoughts and feelings. This is Vanessa and Cazzo's story which is kinda a continuation sorta but not as this series thus far has been about Reed Security and a client they took on. The client is Victor Adam's which is Vanessa's father, he is not just a financial mogul but he has gotten himself mixed up with the wrong people and his daughter is his only way out. This is a great story and can be read as a standalone but reading each book in this series so far, would be so worth your time and make it that much better. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an ARC from BookSprout.
In a previous book, Cazzo was shot protecting Vanessa while handling her personal up close security. Would he walk again?
He was having a hard time with his rehab when he was assigned to watch for Vanessa again. Reed Security was hiding her from......you'll need to read to find out.... He didn't want her to see him helpless. Nor could he forget the feelings that had started to develop between them. If it had been a bad idea before it was impossible now.
Both still wanted the other. Both still had huge issues. And they were in danger. Could the three men assigned to protect her save her from the most famous deadly assign known?
Emotions, loyalty, great characters, amazing world-building, plenty of steam, and a story you won't forget. Reviewed for Words Turn Me On
So we saw a little bit of Cazzo and Vanessa in Sinner's story but man these two are the real deal. Once upon a time Cazzo was a full, bad ass bodyguard and now he is just a shell of who he used to be. Giulia Lagomarsino sure knows how to bring suspense and action with a cup full of sexual tension with these two. Right from the beginning you can see this is more than just an ex-bodyguard protecting his assignment with the way they interact to each other. Have to say Vanessa is a true fighter in this book going through this and then trying to help Sam be who he used to be just wowed me. There is a scene in the book that I thought no way she will do this and man the way Vanessa stands in Sam's corner was just awesome. All in all this was more than I expected of Sam's story to be and loved it.
"I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own."
This book has a dramatic beginning with the hero (Cazzo) waking up in the hospital after an attack that leaves him unable to move his legs. He was part of the security group guarding a woman named Vanessa. Vanessa had been hiding from her father who had planned to marry her off to an arms dealer in exchange for a large debt. She ends up hiding in the house of the very security guard who was injured protecting her! They are intensely attracted to each other but Cazzo doesn't feel worthy of her love unless he can learn to walk again. The book is very dramatic as it goes through the attempts to guard Vanessa and Cazzo's attempts to progress in his physical therapy rehab. I highly recommend this book to those who love romantic suspense as I do!

Vanessa is the daughter of a wealthy and powerful man. He requests a security detail from Reed Security for her when she attends a charity gala. Cazzo is next to her when he spots a gunman and steps in front of her a takes a bullet in the abdomen that grazes his spinal cord. Due to the swelling, he can’t feel anything in his lower body. After Vanessa is picked up by her father’s security, she overhears the she is going to be bartered and runs away back to Reed. Cazzo is at home in a wheelchair going to therapy but is very depressed. Reed decides to hide her with Cazzo where no one will look for her and to see if their attraction is still strong. Meanwhile, her father is in a hot mess with an unsavory deal gone bad and brings in an assassin. There is all kinds of action and suspense in this book. This is the 3rd installment in the Reed Security series. This story is about Cazzo (Sam) and Vanessa. Cazzo is the alpha within the security team. He’s tough and uncompromising. During his last assignment, Cazzo was injured, and now he is feeling insecure and less aplpha while trying to heal. Of course, he refuses to ask for any help. Cap is frustrated by Cazzo’s behaviour and decides to push Cazzo’s buttons done with the crap, by placing Vanessa, the woman they were all protecting in Cazzo’s house. Vanessa recently found out her father is a bad guy and now is on the run. Cazzo is miserable at first, especially when Vanessa starts pushing his buttons to help force him to participate in his own recovery.

Cazzo while still recovering is asked to hide and protect Vanessa Adams. Vanessa returns home after the charity event where she had been the target of a shooter then overhears her father say something on the phone that has her running. When the friend she is staying with sells her out again she is picked up by Sinner and taken to Reed Security for protection. Sam/Cazzo is still wheelchair bound after taking the bullet meant for Vanessa and is mean and moody when people try to help him so he is surprised that his boss Cap tells him that he is sending Vanessa and a team to his property to hide and protect her. How is he going to cope having the woman he wants sharing the house with him. An entertaining romance to relax and enjoy.

4.6 stars The third book in the Reed Security Series is another high octane read that you want to add to your tbr list. It can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the books in order. Cazzo was Vanessa’s protector when she first came to Reed Security but he was injured on her detail. When Vanessa is in need of protection again, she returns to the company but Cazzo is having mixed feelings about his ability to actually be able to protect Vanessa. These two are explosive together but will Cazzo’s feelings of insecurity be the thing that holds him back? Can these two forge a relationship together and survive the obstacles that are headed their way? This is one storyline filled with drama, suspense, secrets and pain. I highly recommend this book and the rest of the series. I volunteered to read a copy of this book.
I loved reading Cazzo and Vanessa's story so much!
Wow, this is the third book in this series that I've read, and I am loving how each no story can always be connected to the one before. To see how each one interconnects with the new one is new to me. I can't remember how many series I've ever read that were written like this, but I love how these stories are written so much, because when I read Sinner's story I got a little of Cazzo's story and what happened with him and now that I've read his book it just made everything that happened in the first few books to let me see and experience what Cazzo and Vanessa went through and how the fell in love. It made me so sad that she was able to walk away, but I am also so happy that they were able to get through their problems and have their HEA together!
