Ice is the 9th book in the Reed Security Series and should be read in order.

Ice. Lady Killer. Perpetual bachelor. Until Lindsey stepped into his life, Ice had never considered having a relationship ever again. He liked his life the way it was and that was the end of that conversation. But when Ice kidnaps Lindsey to protect her, he has no choice but to bring her home with him. And that's where the problems begin. There's a very fine line between love and hate, but which side will they land on?

“What the hell is that?” I shouted.
“My feet are cold. You keep it like an ice box in here.”
“So, put on some damn socks, woman!”
“No, I can’t sleep with socks on. My feet sweat and then I get uncomfortable.”
“So, it’s okay for you to sleep how you’re comfortable, but not me?”
“You’re sleeping naked. There’s a difference between being completely naked and sleeping without socks on.”
“For all I know, you could have some toe fungus and I could catch if from you because you don’t have socks on.”
“Really? A toe fungus?”
“People get them. I don’t know you. You could be one of those people that only changes their socks once a week.”
“This coming from the man that couldn’t remember the last time he washed his sheets,” she snorted.
“Hey, I work out of town a lot. It’s not like I sleep in my bed every night. And I always shower before I get in bed. It’s not like I’m dirty.”
“Sheets that aren’t washed regularly can cause acne. All that bacteria that lives in your bed can clog your hair follicles and your skin could break out.”
“I have flawless skin. I’m not worried,” I said in irritation.
“Do you know how many skin cells you leave behind in your bed?” She sat up and turned to me with a sneer. “You lose about 30,000 to 40,000 skin cells every minute. So, in an eight hour night of sleep, you would lose at least 14,400,000 skin cells that are just hanging out on your sheets.”
“You have way too much time on your hands if you figured that out and remembered it.”

Fire and Ice!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: ❤️💜💙💚💛
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📙📕📗📘
World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌎
Character development: 😟😣🙃🙂

The heroine: Lyndsey - Owner of a Bed and Breakfast that Reed Security holed up in after rescuing their women from two gangs of Bikers that were out for blood. The guys took her with when they went to a safe house for her protection, but after returning she discovered everything she owned had been destroyed.

The Hero(es): John Peters (a.k.a. Ice) - He is called ice because he resembles the Iceman from Top Gun, but also because of the cold emotionless way he does his job at Reed Security. He also has a way with the women and he froze his heart long ago and wants to keep it that way.

The Story: Ice lets Lyndsey stay with him in his one bedroom house since she lost everything but the two of them get along like cats and dogs. Lyndsey is resentful of the fact that Ice strong armed her into leaving her home and the fact that it was destroyed.

This was definitely an enemies to lovers story and at first I didn’t like how much they seemed to hate each other. They were definitely attracted to one another but sometimes they were downright mean to each other and not in a way I could see them falling for one another. But as they had to be in close quarters, I saw how they could give in to the attraction and they fought less. Though I still think that Lyndsey was a bit of a shrew sometimes.

A lot of enemies to lovers stories have witty banter between the two main characters. I didn’t find their banter to be witty, just frustrating. Though I can’t say the same for the men of Reed Security. When the guys get together and talk about women and/or their problems with women, it is always hilarious. That is one of the best things about this series and this book was a great example of that.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

I discovered this Reed Security series this year, and I am loving it. I love each book a little bit more than the last. Giulia Lagomarsino possess the ability to make each hero/heroine different enough and she for sure keeps things interesting. Lindsey is fiercely strong and independent with a touch of sass, and Ice is just that, ice cold and focused on the task at hand. Another great read.

This book was an emotional roller coaster! Ice and Lindsey are oil and water and have the BEST kind of banter! Two that are complete opposites but attract in every way. This book has emotional moments but also has a lot of numerous ones, I have to say that I love when Giulia Lagomarsino throws in humor during intense situations in this series, it makes it even better in my eyes.

I adored this book and like the relationship between the two. It is relatable because relationships are not easy and this book and the entire series shows that. All in all, I dug the banter and watching the man that was cold as ice start to melt! 4.5 outta 5 stars from me!

PS: I received a copy of the book in return for my honest feedback.

Fun, sexy mexy, plenty of action and yes at times tears.

This is by far the best series and the offspring series I have read this year.

The complex threads that Giulia weaves her stories, and her characters keeps you coming back for more. You will be riveted to the pages and find that hours have passed by the time you manage to pull yourself away.

You will laugh your arse off when you are not sweating through the action.

What if there was a highly trained, skilled & lethal ex-military man nicknamed ICE who worked for an exemplary security firm? What if this man's nickname was earned in part due to his ice-cold emotionless ability to do any security assignment no matter the danger or complexity? What if he had erected ice hard walls around his heart & emotions when it came to commitment & love? What if a flaming torch of a woman came into his life & he didn't know what to do with her?
Such is the premise of 'ICE', as well as his dilemma.
John 'ICE' Peters, a highly respected, efficient & effective member of the Reed Security firm finds himself adrift & buffeted by a raging storm named Lindsay. Against his better judgement & inclinations, ICE finds himself the only one able to help the bristly, irritating & argumentative B&B owner he rescued (Lindsay). With no family, friends, money or resources Lindsay has nowhere to go. And against her better judgement & inclinations (as well as several futile attempts to obtain assistance elsewhere) Lindsay ends up at ICE's isolated cabin surrounded by forest.
Although both ICE & Lindsay ARE attracted to each other, both would rather die on the rack than admit their feelings. And when together, both are verbally combative, have emotional hair triggers & cannot, to save their lives, resist baiting each other & responding. While they are both excellent are lobbing insults, threats & accusations at one another, neither one seems to have the ability to actually stop & LISTEN to the other.
And after accidentally (yes, accidently) having sex both are confused: ICE doesn't understand why he doesn't want to move on as he has every other time in the past & Lindsay, alone (but not able to acknowledge to herself she is lonely) is terrified she'll come to care for the handsome abrasive arrogant ICE.
The story has a lot of back & forth between these 2 explosive personalities, the Reed Security personnel & their women pop up for both ICE & Lindsay & try in their way to assist but the volatile pair are almost more than the Reeders & their women can handle.
This emotional rollercoaster of a book has steamy sex, humor that makes the reader laugh aloud, misunderstandings that cut & bring pain & heartache, life & death situations as well as destructive mistakes & decisions (I could have smacked Lindsay upside the head a couple times-- but that's just ME) that are seismic. The reader is pulled back & forth as ICE & Lindsay's potential relationship is like an extreme orbit: sometimes close enough to the Sun to burn & other times so far distant it seems frozen & lost. Their interactions were loving, combative, supportive, angry, distrustful & trusting. The road they travel is pitted & strewn with rocks & boulders but never boring or bland.
I was very invested in both of them & their potential for a loving permanent relationship & I had my fingers crossed & hopes up that they'd have a HEA.
An excellent & emotional tale of 2 people who must learn to successfully overcome their natural tendencies in order to find & earn what they really want & need. I highly recommend it.

4.5 rounded down

If all her books in the series were more like this and the last two (7&8), then I could be on board with them more! The four stars is better than the two and three star ratings I did for some prior books. Minor spoilers coming up.

I wanted to read Lola's story because hers sounded interesting but I wasn't impressed with half of the first 8 books. So I figured I'd stop at Lola. But then the last two (7 & 8) were really good again and so I was intrigued how Ice/John and Lindsey got together.

The story is missing some parts that were included in other books (like the bang it out talk) but not a big deal.

There were more typos too (missing words again).

And I didn't get closure on what happened to the guys who broke into the b&b in this book or if she even kept it and worked there or sold it. Obviously Mr. Plaid (Jake) was still in the picture, so I assume maybe she has it still and he's helping her out there, but that's a stretch too. These guys work at Reed Security and go out and kick butt and take names (I mean, look at Whiskeys book). But someone hurt Lindsey and they're letting it slide? Doesn't add up based on prior books and what we know about the guys protecting their women and ensuring their safety. Who's to say the guys wouldn't come back and try to get into that safe?! Sigh. Lack of closure like that is frustrating.

The author took away the "cast of characters" at the beginning of the book again. Sigh. Book 3 was missing it too and I needed it for reference. And there were a couple of "jump forward" moments with no warning. One was for the wedding and then the next chapter I'm reading about them having a baby as well as almost all the guys with gals having babies at Reed security. Timeline references would have been nice.

But I've mentioned it before and I'll mention it again... Knight cracks me up. I love that guy. But seriously, all the guys getting drunk and telling their stories after the breakup cracked me up. Each round of guys was clueless as to what was happening and then got sucked into the "party" lol. And the strip show was fun from the girls perspective too. But she was a bit of a jerk (which was not expected) to him at the show and brushed him off. Here he kept showing up over and over and she was not having it. 😐 The ladies helped her see reason too.

Ice and Lindsey met under very stressful circumstances, and really set the tone for their early antagonistic relationship. See, Reed Security has some serious things going down when they rolled up to her B&B, which resulted in her place being shot up, and Ice knocking her out to get her in his vehicle against her will. When she woke up, it really didn't go over well with her. So when everything calmed down, Lindsey was taken home, only she had nothing left. And for a slight moment, Ice felt bad, and took her to his place, which is when it really got interesting. He was a total douche to her, not gonna lie, because he was so worried about his reaction to her, that he was just plain mean in my opinion, and I wanted to straight up hurt him. Then, they ended up sharing his bed, which ended up leading to some HOT shenanigans since they had serious chemistry. And as they tried to stop, it got worse & worse, to where he panicked, and really tried to avoid her to the point that he left her completely alone most of the time. That wasn't even the worst part, nope, she had nothing, like a phone, transportation, or even money, so she even had no food for a couple of days until he finally decides come home & take her out for errands after her insane amount of notes that she left him. See, where I might have a big issue with him?! Anyway, they finally talk things out, move on, I start to forgive him, then BAM! Yep, he messes up again, with a twist that came out of nowhere! I'm enraged again, but then when he's having a drunken pity party because of his douchey mistake, the guys from Reed Security start trickling in to check on him, they decide to join him in drinking & chime in with their own, I laughed so hard, I could hardly breathe. This is where Giulia Lagomarsino is at her best. She writes these men who piss me off badly, but then thaw me out, piss me off again, then have me dying laughing at their antics when they have manly pity parties. So yeah, I will NEVER get enough of the flawed Reed Security men, and I really HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND everyone read Ice to see how it all pans out!

When it comes to stubborn characters, I don’t think they come any better than John “Ice” and Lindsey. Wow did these two characters really have an issue with each other in the beginning and it kept getting more intense as the book went on.

Ice really has issues with saying what he is thinking. When it comes to his dealings with Lindsey, he is kind of all over the place. He wants her, but he is not going to tell her. And this causes some hilarious issues between the two of them. But Lindsey gives as good as she gets, and she really starts to push his buttons in a way that he can’t take. My favorite part is her germophobia. Good lord does she put him in twists with this. But, my absolute favorite part of the book was when the guys were commiserating with each other. Now that was freaking hilarious!

But they had so many misunderstandings between them because neither would say what they thought. Sometimes this was funny, and sometimes it was beyond sad. But the emotions in this story were not as intense as the some of the previous books, which I really needed. But overall, I thought the characters worked well together. They balanced each other, but also still sparked in a way that was engaging.

Overall, I liked the book. The story kept getting better as the book went on and the interactions with all of the characters kept the story interesting. I would highly recommend the story, but do feel that readers should start from the beginning of the series to get the full impact with all of the characters and how the storylines play out. So, two thumbs up from me! Happy reading!

This is the 9th book of the "Reed Security Series" by the amazing author, Giulia Lagomarsino and each story gets better and better and much hotter too ;)

Ice and Lindsey are both completely opposite to one another, like water and oil and yet they feel an intense attraction to one another that they don't want to feel but they do. They try to fight it but at the end, the chemistry is too much and they give in. At first, Ice was unsure like Lindsey, if he could be in a committed relationship but as time passed, they both realized what they felt for each other was more than attraction... there are obstacles, misunderstandings and miscommunication with these two that cause friction, angst, anger, sorrow, resignation and defeat but thankfully with the group of the Reed Security Family and their women, they help these two very stubborn people by getting them both alone in a cabin to work their problems out and they do ;)

As always, the author, Giulia Lagomarsino has given us an incredible story, with both awesome and at the same time, complicated characters like Ice and his Lindsey, as well as amazing secondary characters that provide friendship, advice when needed, butt kicking also when needed and intervention when it was ABSOLUTELY NEEDED! This story also has enough heat to burn through the kindle pages, amazing chemistry, angst, pain, jealousy, humor, passion, anger, action and love. The ending was incredible and funny at the same time and I can't wait for more stories from this series and from this great author :)

Lindsey has lots of questions but very few answers. John “Ice” Peters seems to be a whiney kid who wants his way all the time – ah, poor baby. The scenes that follow lead to my laugh out loud moment. I both loved it and wished I had either been a fly on the wall or an actual spectator. As I get to know this group, I found myself wanting to see Jules get his.

Our author has created a series that just seems to get better as each book comes out. I had a great time laughing at Ice. He seemed to have foot in mouth disease. Loved to see how the tables seemed to have turned. It’s usually the women that get together to talk about things. In this one, the author has the men having their gabfest moments and everyone has an opinion.

Laughing isn’t all that happens here. I found myself feeling sorry for Lindsey because she’s been through so much. You think her life is going to turn around and she’s going to be happy but she has a guy in her life that seems to be all over the place. He has a job at Reed Security, and we get to see a little bit of that here, but it’s watching him get his light bulb moment and literally having a panic attack. I have to wonder if that makes me a bad person because it was those moments that had me laughing – a lot. But since it’s a work of fiction, I don’t feel too bad. And I was a happy camper that it carried on right until the ending. Loved the fact that this series isn’t over yet – give me more.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Ice was AWESOME! A total hit! The chemistry between Ice and Lindsey was off the charts! I spent half the book fanning myself.
Lindsey was such a great character in the role of heroine. I like that she is no-nonsense, straight-shooter with a heart of gold. The backstory from her town had me sympathizing with her plight. She was clearly a really great person that others didn't really get to know. I understood her need to build walls. I also really liked that she didn't just fall for Ice's good looks and charm and even better that it threw him off too.
Ice was the quintessential example of alpha male. I enjoyed that he started off with such an ego and got knocked down a few pegs. It was great seeing him grow as a character. I was glad to see him have to really work for it after he screwed up with Lindsey. I liked that he couldn't just say sorry and she instantly forgave him. I also loved the friendship between Ice and Jules! Jules was hilarious with his outbursts about women (i.e. the Lifetime movies rant).
This book had me going through all the emotions throughout. I really enjoy the relationship between all the Reed Security team. And I love that the women they bring in (or man in Lola's case) find a home with the other significant others. It has created such a sense of family and unity that each story just sucks you further in! I am beyond hooked!

Title: Ice (Reed Security, #9)
Author: Giulia Lagomarsino
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Rating: 5/5

ARC received in return for an honest review.

The ninth book in this series brings us Ice and Lindsey’s story.

The aftermath of Reed Security’s last mission has left Lindsay homeless, penniless and at the mercy of Ice, lucky her 😉. From their first meeting it would suggest these two are like oil and water, they don’t mix, but you know what they say... opposites attract. Ice takes Lindsey into his home then after dancing around one another his bed, it was only a matter of time the chemistry between them was combustible.

Ice by name, Ice by nature, that’s how he is when it comes to his relationship with Lindsey however she does manage to thaw him out, getting him to open up more when it comes to their relationship. The pairs relationship is progressing nicely when Ice makes a silly error causing Lindsey to overreact, ending their relationship, then there’s an unfortunate incident resulting in Lindsey being hospitalised which well you know there’s a saying "It’s the beginning of the end" well this was more like "It’s the beginning of the beginning" after a rocky patch the pair find their way back towards one another, getting the HEA they both deserve.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again this series just keeps getting better and better, I really can’t wait for the next one.

This love/hate relationship had a lot of drama and ups and downs throughout the story! Lindsey is forced to spend time with Ice after her bed and breakfast is torn apart during a Reed security mission.
Lindsey is snarky, sassy, and stands up for herself. Ice is taken aback when she doesn’t fall at his feet in lust like the other women he’s known.
Lots of passion, misunderstandings, and yelling between this volatile, stubborn couple.
When John did a lame brained mistake and Lindsey overreacted, their relationship got a bit messy. Lindsey finally realized her mistake, but by that time John acted like a bonehead again. I really didn’t like the mean way he treated her and the way he spoke to her. I know their relationship was all about their “I hate you/I love you” passion, but it ran on a bit too long. By the time the whole labor thing happened I was exhausted with their antics. I also felt a bit disappointed that the culprits who broke into both of her places (first one got totally destroyed) were never caught and punished. (Spoiler alert-I mean she was beaten/kicked/hospitalized and Ice never went on a warpath to find out who did that to her?)
Not my favorite of this series but still a recommended read!

I have been waiting and wondering what Giulia was going to concoct for a story for Ice. Up until this point Ice, is just that Ice. He is the man to have at your back and he will get the job done with no thought or feeling to muddy the waters. Don't get me wrong, each and every man at Reed Security will put their lives on the line to get a job done but Ice just has this emotionally disconnected way of doing it. It was an absolute pleasure to read his story and get to know more about Lindsey. Albeit their meeting was not under the most pleasant of circumstances considering her B & B was destroyed in a gun fight but you definitely knew you were in store for fireworks when Ice throws her into one of the Reed Security SUV's 'for her own safety'. The storyline for this book is just page turning, there is no other way to describe it. These two characters will have you enthralled on their stubbornness to admit their attraction and their lengths to avoid it. But don't you worry Giulia gets Ice to melt a little and gets Lindsey to cool her flaming personality and temper and we are left with a fantastic read.

Starting it was 5 stars. Nice panter. Accitental sex.. okay. Funny as hell. In the middle it was dragging.. okay 4 stars still. Then that major commitment pbobe did some stupid stuff. Okay... 3.5 starts. Then they confessed they love to each other and all was good. The end? Until that average 4 starts.
BUT this was not the end.. noo.. there had to be MAJOR drama from kiss he did on a job. Wtf. So he kissed a moviestar for bad reasons, 1-3 days to growel would be fine. I do love some great growel, but so much drama over a kiss and for weeks?! And then thaf attack and more miscommunication. So he took off and she was left behind for another month. So they are apart already 2+ months. 1 star for all that 100% unnecesary drama. They had their happily ever after, wtf was this 50+pages? Made me dislike them both a lot. Stupid bitch and stupid dude. Stuck your pride somewhere else.
Total 2.5 stars.

I have not read the other books this series, but it seems the same theme is for most books. Same MMO. That hero/heroine get together in middle of the book or later and then one of them fucks up , he/she leaves and bad guy growels for weeks. .. i just there would be at least a good reason for it.. not a kiss... on a job..

As the saying goes there is a thin line between love and hate and since their first meeting John and Lindsey have been standing at that line. They met under very intense and stressful circumstances and whilst it may not seem like these two are suited to each other or would ever consider a relationship feeling start forming and it makes for a great read.

John and Lindsey have the ability to seemingly push one another’s buttons in every imaginable way. They are constantly fighting, not just each other, but the emotions elicited by holding the other in their arms or just by generally being the one another’s presence. The constant push and pull between them makes for a build up of passion and chemistry that when it ignites creates something neither of them can stop.

The love/hate war continues for the entire book and the dissolution of their relationship comes down to a miscommunication/unwillingness to communicate. It was annoying and made this story a little lacklustre but the push and pull along with the side characters still make this an enjoyable book. The Reed Security team once again bring some very humorous scenes to the plot and the final chapters show a really sweet side to some of the men we’ve met so far.

After a shoot out at her B&B, Lindsey finds herself kidnapped by Ice and some men, although Ice says they saved her and their heading to a safe house.
Finally, Ice thinks he can be rid of the woman that hates him, but, watching her after he knows he has to get her and takes her back to his house.
As irritating as Lindsey is, she’s gorgeous, but he knows she hates him, Ice is irritated by Lindsey, but her attitude was sexy.
Lindsey can’t believe she wakes in Ice’s arm, and the thoughts she’s having about him, she knows he’s a player, then Ice wakes up ruining any thoughts she had.
After arguing about sleeping arrangement and accidently having sex, they both decide it was an accident that won’t happen again, ever.
When Ice learns why the town hates Lindsey, he knows he may have been unfair on her, but he has to stay away from her. They try to avoid each other but it doesn’t work, and they somehow keep accidently having sex, which doesn’t make it any easier for him to resist and he starts to wonder if he should. Lindsey know she has to stop before her heart gets involved, and lets Ice know, knowing he doesn’t do commitments, but is Lindsey enough to make him want a commitment.

Not my favorite. Plot was boring. Actually there was no plot. At all.

Lindsey is a stupid prideful bitch. Man she is absolutely terrible to Ice. Honestly. The last 1/3 of the book was just painful to read. Pride is a nasty evil. She is an absolute mess and just a bitch. She preaches about having great honest conversations but then literally cannot talk to him without them screaming at each other. It got old real fast. She runs. He runs. Man they are toxic.

Ice- meh. Was he a dick? Alpha? Weak? He was all over the place. He was a mess. Then did a 180 and started getting drunk and whining. Then he’s all dominating and growling mine? Yeah man you’re not acting like she’s yours. I honestly agreed with him when he pointed out that he deserves a relationship where she will give him a chance to explain. I felt bad for him.

HATED the part about Jake. Man Lindsey is stupid. She broke up with Ice over one stupid kiss but then literally has another man take care of her for weeks?? What a hypocritical broad.

Loved all the guys getting drunk and talking about shoelaces. Hilarious. They’re what made this book a 3 star. Also loved the strip dance. Best part of the book.

This story features hot and sexy characters caught in a love-hate scenario, filled with intense sexual tension. Ice and Lindsey's relationship stems from a previous encounter where he had to kidnap her to protect her.

Ice struggles to express his feelings, especially towards Lindsey. Despite his insistence on keeping things casual, his conflicting emotions prevent him from admitting his true feelings, leading to amusing misunderstandings between them. Their undeniable chemistry and banter add depth to their dynamic.

The male characters' camaraderie provides comedic relief, with Lindsey's germophobia adding a humorous touch. Jake, a mysterious character with a love for plaid, adds intrigue to the story.

Despite their communication challenges, Ice and Lindsey's interactions are balanced and engaging, blending humor and heartfelt moments. Lindsey's quick wit and comebacks add depth to her character, evoking both laughter and sympathy.

The characters' dynamic and chemistry create a captivating narrative, culminating in a satisfying conclusion that sheds new light on Ice's character.

Oh man has Giulia done it again! Another strong hero that kicks arse right from the start. I love this series and it gets better and better with each book. Reed Security has some seriously kick arse men that love their woman and love them fiercely.

Ice was such a rollercoaster ride so many twists and turns and so much push and pull between Ice and Lindsey. Ice gets his name righteously because he has build a wall of ice around his heart. Only doing one night stands never getting close to anyone. Lindsey I love because she is a strong woman who is independent and takes care of business. So when she is in trouble she has nowhere to turn and noone to help her out.

That is when Ice comes to her rescue and takes her in to protect her. This where the story starts to take off and you get to see a side to Ice you never thought you see and Lindsey oh Lindsey we get a
glimpse into her past that affects her future.

I love and loathe when these books come out! Love because I can't wait to read them, but loathe because it means I have another month to wait for the next one!! As you've come to expect of this series, it's a brilliant read with the normal array of characters we've come to love. If you haven't read any of this series yet - where have you been? You've missed so much! This can easily be read as a stand alone, but the previous books are so brilliant why wouldn't you want to read them? and as the same characters appear in the series (differing main characters in each) you can fully understand and feel more immersed in the storyline. This one follows Ice and Lindsay and the laugh out loud moments they have, as well as the normal security threat we've come to expect where the boys can come racing in to save the day! I seriously recommend if you read one series of books this year - make it this one!

I have recently seen this author's series and have been waiting for a chance to read one! This is the first book I have read by this author, so although she recommends reading all the books in the series, I read it as a standalone. It seems like this immediately follows its predecessor-there has been a lot of action and they’re in a regrouping phase. Ice (John) is compelled to help Lindsey, and this Alphahole, enemies-to-lovers story gets underway. There were times when I really enjoyed the banter, other times I just wanted it to stop. I enjoyed the other characters, who are coupled up, some with kids, and whose books I haven't read, and the references to past events. I liked this story enough, jumping in the middle despite the author's recommendation that I shouldn’t, that I’ll start at the beginning properly to get to know this quirky crew.

I am voluntarily leaving my opinion of a review copy of this book.

I have to say ICE is my favorite of them all. I have read all of the books in this series and the companion series "For the Love of a Good Woman" and I have really enjoyed all but one of them. ICE beats them all. The banter between Ice and Lindsey was off the charts fun. I loved how these two people that were so used to making their own way in the world found that making their way together could be better. It was a bumpy ride, very emotional and at times down right laugh out loud fun. I would not trade the reading of this one for anything. I found myself so invested in this story and these characters, I felt like something in my own personal life depended on them finding the road to happiness. I can't recommend this one enough. It is a great read, yummy mind candy for the heart and soul. This one will leave you emotionally drained and fully satisfied.

In this story, we get to really look at the contensious relationship between Ice and Lindsey. This should be interesting! Oh my gosh, Lindsey and Ice are a hoot! Talk about this being a true love-hate or is that hate-love story! These two are like oil and water. I Love that Chris and the group at Reed Security like and have a soft spot for Lindsey and look after her. Especially when Ice is a total jerk!!! Chris, Jules, and Ice in the woods is a hoot. What happens to Lindsey when she goes on a walk? I love how she takes no flack from Ice!Maggie's form of revenge against Sebastian's actions had me setting my asthma off! What Jules says after the show the next day had me ready to cry. Oh lord, Gettysburg...Sinner's comment before the roadtrip.... oh my! This was such a fun read! Check it out!

John Peters (Ice) has earned his nickname as his demeanor is cold and level-headed both professionally and personally. His military background has served him well at Reed Security and his relationships with women are unemotional until Lindsay barrels into his life.

Lindsay is in trouble and running out of options except for Ice but that doesn’t mean she has to like it. She is feisty, fiery and not about to back down from a challenge but when they end up alone in a remote cabin the fireworks fly.

These two are perfect for each other as their strong personalities only make the interactions between them that much more fun. Hot and humorous it was great to not only meet Ice and Lindsay but to reunite with the other characters of Reed Security. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book

This is the ninth book in this phenomenal series, and is Ice and Lindsay’s turn. Ice is ex-military and has earned this nickname due to the persona that he projects. Lindsay is a feisty female who is in danger and is rescued by Ice. These two have combustible chemistry between them, but are both stubborn and determined to deny any feelings they may have. From the moment they met there are sparks between them, and Lindsay gives as good as she gets, leaving Ice stumped about how to handle her, yet they are perfect together. This is a well written flawless story, which is an emotional roller coaster journey throughout, and has witty banter, as well as being humorous, steamy, and a sexy read. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I cannot wait to read more from this talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all.

Ice really lives up to he's name, not only does he look like Val Kilmer but he has a heart of ice and no woman is going to have he's heart. That is until he rescues a woman from a situation they have got her into by using her bed and breakfast to rest in whilst on the run from a notorious gang. Lindsey drives him mad and not in a good way, she's very quick to point out that she's with him as he has destroyed her business and she won't let him forget it.. but could there be lust simmering underneath for both of them or is it just hate... This is a brilliantly funny and well written book. I laughed at the interaction between Ice and Lindsey and every page is totally brilliant. I couldn't put the book down and had to read it in one go.... I can' get enough of these 'Reed' men, they are a brilliant.

Ice and Lindsey

Love/hate, more love/hate, and more love/hate. Ice rescue-kidnapped Lindsey when enemies shot up and destroyed her B&B. It was taking her or leave her to be killed. While she was hot he hated listening to her verbal abuse for the entire time they were together.

Seems hate-speak was their norm. They both were hot for the other but they couldn't get past their anger. So goes most of the story with moments of humor and steam. Is it possible these two could actually be together? (not if they take advice freely given by his Reed Security family)

The expected humor was there with moments of action and the two making it together both emotionally and physically. THEN they go back to fighting and it begins again.

Overall I enjoyed the book, however, the love/hate tug of war was just a little much for me.

I just love this series as each book just brings the sexy alpha men with the women who are their match. The ninth book in the Reed Security Series brings readers Ice and Lindsey’s story. Lindsey was left without a penny to her name and nowhere to live after the last mission. Fortunately, she has Ice but they are like oil and water and do not mix very well together. However, when Ice takes her to his home and they spend time together, feelings begin to change. When Ice makes an error, it causes Lindsey to overreact and sever the growing ties between them. Can these two get past their issues and make a relationship work? This is another well written, witty, page turning storyline that is filled with steam, humor, misunderstandings and a lot of drama that is not to be missed. I volunteered to read a copy of this book.
