Alec is book 17 in the Reed Security series and it is recommended that they are read in order.

Alec

I've been chasing this damn woman for three years. Our relationship is finally out in the open and I'm not letting this chance slip past me. I will make her mine, and there won't be any room for arguments. There's the slight problem of Craig, our other teammate. He knows what we do in the other rooms at night, or during the day, and that leaves us in a bit of a predicament. But we'll work it out. I always get my woman, and Florrie is all mine.

Florrie
It took me by surprise when I fell for Alec. I hadn't intended to ever sleep with my teammate, but then one day, he was there and so damn sexy. It was just supposed to be sex, nothing more. But he kept pushing and then one day, it was out in the open. Everyone knew and there was no way for me to stop what was happening. Except, there's just one problem, I've got a secret that ensures we'll never be together in the way he wants. Now I just have to find a way to tell him.

“Who is he?” Hunter asked. “Just tell me and I’ll kick his a$$.”
“I think I can do my own a$$-kicking.”
“No. Whoever this a$$hole is, just tell us and we’ll take care of things. We’ll make sure you never see him again. If you know what I mean,” he continued.
“I know exactly what you mean, and no, you don’t need to make him disappear.”
“But, that’s what we do. We don’t know how to solve any other problems,” Gabe said, almost in confusion.
Rocco groaned and held up a hand to ward off the guys. “I didn’t want to get involved, but it looks like I’m gonna have to. Why don’t you tell us about this guy. What’s he like?”
“Smart, strong, capable…”
“Sexy?”
“Of course,” I huffed. “But he’s confusing. I thought that he was into me, but then nothing happened. Is it me? Am I not pretty enough?”
“No,” Sinner said, shaking his head sharply.
“Of course not-” Hunter snorted uncomfortably.
“You’re beautiful,” Rocco said firmly, and the other guys joined in.
“Sexy as hell.”
“Nice rack.”
“Good a$$. Nice and firm.”
“You have nice elbows,” Sinner said.
“What?” I asked in confusion. Hunter smacked him upside the head.
“I panicked,” Sinner said. “You all said nice rack, good a$$. What else was left?”
“You could have gone with beautiful eyes,” I snapped. “Or even nice legs, but nice elbows? Who the f#@k says that?”
“Obviously not this guy you’re seeing or he’d already be dead,” Rocco muttered.
“Did you f#@k him?” Hunter asked. “Guys always lose interest after you f#@k them.”
“No,” I sneered. “It’s not like I just spread my legs for any guy I come across.”
“Did you come right out and tell him you like him?” Rocco asked. “Some guys are f#@king stupid and can’t take a hint.”
“Actually, I wrote him a note and told him that I really liked him and asked if he liked me too.”
“Like in the song?” Sinner asked.
“Yeah,” I snarked. “Just like in the song. I even drew boxes and asked him to check yes or no.”
“Did he answer?”
“No, you idiot! I didn’t actually do that. I’m not in second grade.

Cap (A Reed Security, #2)
Cazzo (Reed Security, #3)
Knight (Reed Security, #4)
Irish (Reed Security, #5)
Hunter (Reed Security #6)
Whiskey (Reed Security, #7)
Lola (Reed Security, #8)
Ice (Reed Security #9)
Burg: A Reed Security Romance (Reed Security #10)
Gabe: A Reed Security Romance (Reed Security #11)
Jules (Reed Security #12)
Sniper: Book 1 of a 3 book arc (Reed Security #13)
Jackson: Book 2 of a 3 book arc (Reed Security #14)
Chance: Book 3 of a 3 book arc (Reed Security #15)
Phoenix Rising (Reed Security #16)

This is Florrie and Alec’s story. Alec has been chasing Florrie for three years he is going to have her but she has secrets that he might not like. What started out as sex turned into more then they ever bargained for. But is it enough to build a relationship on or will someone make sure that never happens? These two have a fight on there hands but are they fighting each other or someone else? Can they ever make it work once the secrets come out or is this the end?

I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. Very emotional story that will have several triggers for some. But all and all it was a great story.

I highly recommend this book.

Fun, sexy mexy, plenty of action and yes at times tears.

This is by far the best series and the offspring series I have read this year.

The complex threads that Giulia weaves her stories, and her characters keeps you coming back for more. You will be riveted to the pages and find that hours have passed by the time you manage to pull yourself away.

You will laugh your arse off when you are not sweating through the action.

Enjoyed this book. I love the banter between the guys, it has me crying with laughter and makes the books so much better. Each story is different but follows on slightly with each other

3.5 stars, rounded down with spoilers

So, I was definitely team Alec on this one. He was saying and doing the right things but Florrie just strung him along for 3 years! What. The. Heck?! That's a long time to string someone along knowing they are in love with you but you can't commit.

The book wasn't too bad overall, but there were spots that I skimmed because they weren't progressing the story. Not as bad as the prior book though, so there is that!

Alec was quite likeable and Florrie had her moments. To throw in a trigger warning of endometriosis followed by a miscarriage due to an ectopic pregnancy would be good too. She didn't really grieve from that at all.

I haven't spoken about typos much (if at all), but the books all have plenty of typos. I thought by this far in the series they would be better, but not so much. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I found it very strange that they would bring a client to their panic world. To have her stay there and see what is available and underground for Reed security seemed like a huge security risk. And then to find out she was going to get Alec assassinated, just reiterated the stupidity of that move. I mean, I get it... You had to have Florrie see him with another girl, but still. That was way out of line for what I expected of Cap.

Alec and Florrie are on the team with Craig. And I'm quite disappointed they didn't integrate them going out and getting Craig and storm and bringing them back after Cap and the others thought Craig was a traitor. The fact that they left that out completely and the timeline didn't even add up for it to have happened, was odd. They also didn't once mention Chance being kidnapped for a year, though chance was briefly in the book. Seemed like a major thing to come up in context, but never did. So between the typos and the inconsistencies.in the timelines, it seems odd and I didn't care for it.

The three of them going to counseling was entertaining. Craig was clueless the therapist assumed they were a threesome and I found their little dream sequence to be a joke as well. Again, didn't move the story forward and just gave them an awkward conversation the next day which was unnecessary.

Oh! And then I'm confused as to what assets Florrie has.... They say she has a nice rack but then Alec said she had small boobs... Most guys don't qualify small boobs as a nice rack. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Florrie Younge just wants to do her job without letting personal stuff get in the way. Alec Wesley just can’t seem to leave his personal life outside of work. This is a good story that shows how men and women think differently about work and relationships.

The guys of Reed Security aren’t silent – they never are and that’s good for us. They love to give each other advice. So be prepared to laugh. It’s funny, they think they have all the answers and it’s all for our enjoyment. The laugh-o-meter will be off the charts when you read Craig’s advice to Alec. Our author is really on a great run with this series. The stories just seem to get better and better.

No two stories will be the same. In this one, we have a very strong willed woman who wants one thing and is not willing to sacrifice that drive to an alpha male. Alec seems to think that his word is law but he doesn’t understand women very well. One thing I love is that the author shows how these people work as if they are all a family and that includes all the ups and downs that will naturally happen. She lets us see how they work as a group but then she lets the main characters have his or her moment to shine.

I really didn’t want to root for a man that I could see beating his chest – me Tarzan, you Jane. But in this case I let him have his way. Florrie needed that heavy hand because she has a man who really cares about her and just wants to know that she’ll be there tomorrow so that they have a future together. She’s the one that I didn’t want to root for but it’s hard when you see how involved the heart can be. The ending was interesting because it seemed like it may have put a period to the book but not to the series. It seemed that I was left no choice but to be prepared for the time that the next book comes out – and that’s no hardship at all.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

This is just one of those series that you don't want to put down while you're reading the current episode and definitely don't want to see the end of. This is the seventeenth book in the "Reed Security" series and was filled with so much angst and drama, it kept me in a state of flux where Alex and Florrie were concerned. Each with a strong personality and so hard-headed. Add uncompromising and lack of trust emotionally towards the other, it was a battle to see who would win each confrontation. Thank goodness for the rest of the team as they continued to throw in their sage wisdom and advice, along with the humor that is inherently notorious in this series and Giulia Lagomarsino gave me an action-packed, engrossing story, that once again, I couldn't put down until I finished.

This story, in one word, is amazing.

There are highs, lows and somethings go a little sideways and all you can hope for in the end, is that everyone is happy.

Giulia has captured the pain and emotions of a woman struggling with her reality so well. Not to mention, she writes men both individually and as a group, like no-one else I've ever read before. They're funny, downright ridiculous and yet lovable at the same time.

You do need to read the rest of the series but you won't be disappointed.

Book 17 - Alec - Reed Security Series

Alec is book seventeen in this addictive series that features around Florence "Florrie" Younge and Alec Wesley. They are on the same team and work alongside Craig. Florrie and Alec initially started seeing each other three years ago but kept their relationship hidden from everyone at Reed. Florrie thought she was sharing a purely physical relationship with Alec but every day he was falling deeper and deeper for her. We go back to the beginning of their relationship and how they came to be together, right the way through, up to the present day. It is a beautiful story packed with so many emotions. Alec is overbearing, obsessive and possessive no doubt about it and at times forgets what a capable woman Florrie actually is. However, he truly loves Florrie wholeheartedly and his declaration of what love feels like is simply beautiful in every way. Florrie on the other hand is not familiar with what love is, she doesn't understand her feelings and at times acts selfishly towards Alec by lying and being secretive. She continues to push him away yet also pulls him deeper, their relationship is complicated but truly special as together and of course with the help of the Reed family they figure out what they truly want and fight to get it. Whilst still being in explosive, actioned packed moments along the way, super sexy and hot moments that they and the reader become lost in, they also endure emotional moments that show pain, anguish and grief. Its heartbreaking but adds so much depth to the characters and the story. All whilst balanced by humour that gives us laugh out loud antics that only this group could get themselves into and pull off. I adored the guys enjoying spa treatments that was priceless! I also hope Craig finds some happiness he is definitely due some loving. I really do not want this series to end it is absolutely brilliant. Thank you Giulia for giving us such amazing stories and characters to enjoy and always something different that stays with you as a reader long after the book has been read. I can't wait to see who falls next! Happy Reading.

No two stories are the same in this series and with her take on a workplace romance Giulia finally gives us Alec and Florrie. Through a no holds barred approach full of everything we love about this series we’re finally going to know what has happened during the last three years.

Alec is a pure alpha male with his possessive and overprotective approach to Florrie. This man has found his ‘one’ and the only thing stopping him from being with the woman he loves is the woman herself. Florrie is stubborn, independent and won’t back down easily. In some ways they are very similar and the blurring of lines between work and personal creates a rollercoaster of a ride. This constant back and forth will have you on the edge of your seat not only trying to figure who is going to have the final say this time around but whether or not they’re finally going to sort things out.

Their story has its funny moments, as once again the men of Reed Security find themselves in some bizarre situations, but also some heart wrenching ones that add so much more to the narrative. Florrie has been presented as a formidable woman in this series and faced with some difficult news we really see a different side to her that evokes empathy. My heart also goes out to Alec, he puts up with a lot when it comes to Florrie’s attitude towards their relationship and sometimes my heart was breaking right alongside him.

Alec and Florrie made for a gripping tale filled with action, humour, heat, and heartache. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to read more about them going forward.

Alec is everything I expect from a Reed Security book. It's packed full of everything. Laugh out loud moments, emotional and painful moments, suspense and action. Lagomarsino did not disappoint.

Alec and Florrie's story is a rollercoaster ride for sure. They work on the same Reed team and lines get blurred when you mix personal and work relationships. Florrie is strong willed and independent. These two are two similar personalities and that causes an up and down relationship for sure.

Lagomarsino had me hooked from start to finish and I just loved this book. She has created this amazing cast of characters that just bring so much to the plate and really make a book what it is. While the book would have been great with just Alec and Florrie the rest of Reed Security make it what it is.

Alec is an emotional rollercoaster of a book that leaves you begging for more of these two. It's another 5 star read from Giulia Lagomarsino.

Awesome

Another great addition to the series. Alec and Florries's love story lots of chemistry and lack of trust. Their secret relationship started one way and grew to Alec totally falling in love but not reciprocated. Lots of twists and turns, emotions love hate trust pain selfishness joy laughter years Etc.

I felt Alex's pain. When he described what love meant to him it was wow my heart just popped it was so beautiful. He had so much love to give it broke his heart.

Reed Team are so connected they have such a strong bound. Family first, always having your back. Team is rebuilding team back in action. Guys are still hilarious.

Great having secondary characters. This is one series that really makes me laugh a lot though out the story. Giulia makes it all come together.
Thank you for sharing your talent. Look forward to Storm.

Honestly what is with this series making the main character absolutely suck when it’s their turn?!

Florrie was awesome in all the other books then it’s her turn and she’s a complete selfish utter bitch. Honestly it was so cringe that by the end of the book I was rooting for Alec with the other girl just to see him happy. Fuck she was such a bitch it made me want to stab her with a rusty fork just to get her head out of her ass. It was absolutely infuriating. Then a very unprofessional shrink spells it out for her then she suddenly gets it?! JFC. Kill me now.

Alec- swooooon. Serious he doesn’t deserve Florrie. He is who he is and never swayed from that. He actually owned his shit for Florrie and she shit all over it.

The spa scene was golden. But what the absolute fuck was the plot with Craig?! That was so weird. It was a dream??! Don’t get it.

Funny but also deals with some serious issues

Florrie and Alex are perfect for each other except for the fact that Florrie doesn't think she loves Alex because she doesn't know what love feels like. They were together in secret for several years and never acted like a couple. Alex was their team leader and was overly protective of Florrie. Which led to issues between them. Florida lied to Alex about her medical problems and they just went off the rails. When she learns how to show her feelings it could be to late. Love the issues these books bring up. Thank you for the adventure.

Alec and Florrie

Alec and Florrie. The two people who are on the same team they both love eachother but only one will admit it. Florrie is not a favorite character.. This story I see a different side. I understand her character better and I can relate to some of her problems. Alec is all alpha, pound on chest me man you woman. I found it hilarious that Florrie is faster than Alec and took him down when he tried to scare her. It took lots of drama, a spa day and a crazy counselor to bring Florrie around to understanding she loves Alec. Good story!! Happy Reading 📚

Ok so you know sometimes you want to B slap a character lol. Well that’s how I was with Florrie. I loved her but wanted to hit her at the same time. Poor Alex falls her for her and she just uses him for a good romp in the hay. He confesses his love to her , but she won’t reciprocate. Then someone gets shot and some help problems. But overall I loved them. The guys are still hilarious AF. And oh boy wait until you read their guys day out. I cracked up. Now on to Craig’s story.

Great!

I chose this rating because this was actually a pretty great book. I really enjoyed most of all the characters. I really enjoyed Alec and Florrie story. I think they made a very intriguing and interesting couple. She was pretty stubborn and he was an alpha male. I think the author did an amazing job were putting these two stubborn characters together. Great read! I recommended this book to all romance readers.

Alec and Florrie

I wanted to knock both Alec and Florrie up side the head so many times. He wanted a relationship and she didn’t. They argued and f ed for 3 years and I truly felt like it took that long to read this one some times. I loved the comic relief though. A spa day for some of the guys is hilarious and their group talks to help out someone ends up in what not to do. Give this book a go. You may enjoy the arguing and drama more than I did.

I love being able to follow this series its like a little family you get to read about. I'll definitely miss them when theyre gone. Love Alex and Florries dysfunctional relationship but more importantly how they touch on some real issues with Florrie and how not everything in life happens perfectly.

Oh wow. Giulia is definitely getting more creative with the antics the team gets up to, especially the guys.. it gives the story a lift and makes you laugh even when the main short is making you want to shout and cry and curl up and cry.

My heart broke so many times along with Alec’s, even when Florrie got her act together I was still feeling Alec’s pain.

Florrie is a strong women and a part of reed security team. We can see the dynamite of their relationship and how them work as team when they are also a lover. As usually there's some action and humor in this story. Not really a fan of this couple. That's why i give it 3 star. Thank you for writing this book.

Alec has fallen for florrie but she isn’t after anything serious and it starts affecting the team at work!

Probably one of my least favourites! I liked florrie in the other books but not here! Alec annoyed me when he acted liked she couldn’t protect herself but Florrie really ruined this one for me

This story was fantastic and I devoured Alec and Florrie’s story. There were lots of ups and downs in their relationship and I enjoyed seeing them come out on top in the end. Loved the witty dialogue, banter and hilarious moments that only the Reed Security Team can give you that had me chuckling as I was reading. This has been an amazing series and I cannot wait to read the next book.

3 years

Alec has been in love with Florrie for 3 years. Her is tired of her pushing him aside and not being honest. He knows he is possessive and protective of her. It's because he loves her and doesn't want to see her hurt. Can she admit she loves him before it's too late? Can he let go of them reins and let her do her job before it's too late?

Great story

Amazing characters. The comedy is great. I actually laughed out loud even by myself. This was a much lighter story than some of the other books... which I needed to keep reading. Sad parts...yes. but not near as heavy as the previous books. What a great author!!!

Alec and florrie

These two had me in a laughing cough at 2am. It was funny, but it is sad knowing how flurrie was raised. I'm just glad alec saw through the hard mask and taught her about love. Can't wait to hear more about these two in future books.
