Dalaric
Dalaric "Ricky" Mikael was known for two things; being the country's best assassin and being a silent brute.
His demons enveloped him in darkness and he saw no end of any tunnel.

His hands lay by his side and I use my own to bring them around my waist. Our height difference makes it only a bit harder for him to put his chin on my head.

I enjoyed this book ngl, just that, the fmc was a bit too childish but im not gonna throw any bullshit oh her cuz she is indeed a cutie.
This was cute, not anything unique or something to be stunned about but lighthearted to say the least. And, the diversity in this book? Wow. The ending chapters of the book were so adorable

I am in love. My mouth is so tired from all the smiling, grinning and squealing all the time!! I swear to God I almost cried from all the cuteness. 😭
Fine is their always. Dalaric and Maya are the one of the best power couple. The way their relationship progressed? The chemistry, love, and fluff? Absolute perfection. 💞😍

Update:
The author said the hero was a virgin. Someone who hit on him in the past told the heroine he was a major player but I believe she only did that to make the heroine jealous. The mention of him being a virgin was never directly used but since the author did say he was I will count this as a safe dual v read!
Heroine is very innocent and seems to be a virgin but she was sexually assaulted by the hero’s brother and the scene was not on page so I'm not sure how far it went
No sex scenes and no descriptive mention of when they had sex for the first time so I can’t tell you what happened lol

Okay so i read the first 19 chapters and the last 8 chapters which means i read 28 all together. It was a 42 chapter book and i skipped 14 chapters. So morak of the story im counting this book as complete ✋🙂
It was really cute and it reminded me a lot of Lilah but they both had separate aspects so i don't want to compare the two books. There was a lot of diversity which i loved like praise this authors soul!
I didn't read the middle parts of the book because I felt like I could predict what was going to happen and i didnt like how fast they got into a relationship like i was 15 chapters in with 25 chapters left sooo I fekt like it would get repetitive and boring.
I really hate leaving books half complete so over the week im gonna go back and finish thoes 14 chapters and talk more about the book. See yall in a couple of days 👍

Currently obsessed with the grumpy/sunshine trope and I don’t think it’s ending anytime soon.
Dalaric is the kind of story young girls should read so they know what kind of man they deserve. And I’ve never met or talked to the author but I know she is one of the nicest and purest people out there. The story, the diversity, the representation, the plot... literally everything about this made the story so wholesome and swoon worth.

This book was truly phenomenal. As soon as I started reading I was hooked, I could not put it down. I highly recommend it, I wish I could find more books like this. At first, I was a bit hesitant to read this book because many people compared it to Lilah, and not to hate on the author or the book, but I was not a big fan. Turns out it was much better than Lilah and I don't regret reading it. I would give it a 4/5.
To start off the main character, Mayella,(Maya) is a girl who has had a very difficult and traumatizing life. Her mom is a drug addict who doesn't have a job and is in and out of her life. Mayella isn't very liked at school, she is constantly being harassed by this boy named Joshua and only has one "friend", Shay. Every day Shay has to pick up Maya from work. One night Shay picks up Maya, as she always does, and takes a detour to some club with her friends. Whiles there, Shay's friends bully Maya and pour a drink on her. Maya does her best to stay calm and rushes out to find a bathroom. Turns out the only bathroom is in an office. Maya gets to a security guard who is standing by the office door and begs him to let her use the bathroom. The security guard is hesitant at first, but eventually lets her go in and that is when she meets Ricky (Dalaric), that very moment is when her and Dalarics journey begins.
Through this book, we get to see Dalaric and Mayella form a beautiful relationship. We see Ricky open up more and start to connect emotionally with May. Ricky also helps Mayella become more comfortable with her body because she is insecure at times. Ricky embraces her and reminds her of how beautiful and "perfect" she is. Both of them make one another stronger and complete each other, they get through their hard times together and build a bond that only one can hope for. This book was truly amazing and mesmerizing to read, I wish I could go back in time and reread it. Although this is a great book, every book has its flaws, and one small complaint that I have is Mayella's maturity levels at times.
Don't get me wrong Mayella is a very kind-hearted and genuine person, but, at times I would get annoyed with her because she would sometimes act very immaturely. Whether it be something she said or her actions. And although she is supposed to be 'innocent', at times it would be too much and she would get on my nerves. I think the author could have toned it down and made her a bit more mature considering she was on the older side, but other than that I love Mayella and this book so much.
One of my favorite things in this story was the representation. I love how much diversity is presented with the main male lead being black as well as the other side characters being Muslim, black, etc. Another thing that I loved about this book was that it was not the too stereotypical keyword 'too'. It still was a bit stereotypical and predictable at times but seeing as how most sunshine/grumpy books make it so that the main lead girl is shy and very timid, that was what I was expecting, but that is not what happened. The author made Maya a very bad*** and strong woman, and that is something that I admired from both the author and Maya.
All in all, I loved this book, and will definitely be rereading it. ❤

I love this book, it’s so heartwarming and it gave me Lilah vibes. Loved dalaric, he’s such a softie and his birthday gift to her was just absolutely adorable.
There were moments I just wanted to dnf because of Mayella annoying behavior.
The side characters were good also.
Would totally recommend if you enjoyed Lilah.

the plot was really good, the girl mc(mayella) cringed me a little I mean when she said owie and okei dokei a lot of times that's it.
And dalaric was *chef kisses* I would recommend it if you like the grumpy sunshine trope and if you loved Lilah and slim I am sure you'll like this book too.

I don't think it is physically possible to rate this book as high as I desperately need and want to. Dalaric has surpassed every single man and fictional man (which yes still trying to process because I genuinely didn't think that was possible to out do... but hey I was wrong, honestly couldn't be more happy to be proven wrong).
Everything about this book was incredible: The writing was beautiful, the characters - Dalaric (Ricky) and Mayella (Maya) - are the most incredible individuals and an even better pairing, in simple terms they are the definition of soul mates ❤ and the portrayal of true, deeply emotional love and respect for each other was heartshattering in the most beautiful of ways.
This book honestly and truly has made me realise that this is the relationship I deserve, and so does everyone else. We all need our very own Dalaric or Mayella, I mean why not both? Or is that too greedy?
I tell you the tears that I shed for this beautiful couple, thankfully all happy.
I feel a genuine connection to these characters almost like my brain has convinced me they are real. But I know for certain that I will not forget about them, they will randomly pop into my thoughts at 3am in 5 years time on a random Tuesday, I know my only reaction will be to smile and convince myself to not read this again which by that point will probably be for the 50th time.
Please give this book a read, I promise it will be worth your time. Although I warn you now, your standards in men and relationships in general will skyrocket which is honestly a good thing because you deserve what Dalaric and Mayella have.

The way I eat this book up every time. If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would, it really deserves all the hype in the world. This book has everything you can ask for and more, it’s really one of a kind. Especially the main characters, they’re very inspirational. I can’t even form the words to explain how good this book is.
