Neither Daren nor Sidney began Valentine’s Day expecting to end the night alone, but a long day of disappointments help make room for their standing weekly laundry date to continue as scheduled only this time the clothes won’t be the only thing coming clean in the wash.

"I am a writer that creates stories and characters for black girls and women who never got to see themselves as the protagonist. Whether you were told that your skin was too dark, your hair was too nappy, your body was too big or too tall or all of the above, I’m here to tell you it was all a lie and I have something written just for you. For us."
Whew chile! It got hot in the laundry room with Sydney and Daren! Sydney was pretty much in love with Daren from the moment he met but, for some reason, he refused to admit it. Daren is a plus size beauty who doesn't have a lot of confidence but, when her friends give her a makeover, she becomes a butterfly and men start to notice her. Sydney finally realizes he's in love with Daren when she gets a boyfriend. Typical! But, all is not lost because, Daren was lowkey feelin' our boy Sydney too. These two finally decided to use their words and admit their feelings for one another. Laundry Daze was a quick read but, it packed a hell of a story. Tanzania Glover never disappoints!
This was such a cute quick story....I loved how they made an experience out of laundry day...and Sidney cared enough for Daren to make her feel comfortable in her own skin....Sidney really appeared to be a good guy and I wonder why there were no sings that she initially liked him too...Also, I wonder how she was able to get rid of her boyfriend....Overall, a really cute short story....decent narration.
My first read from this author but definitely wont be my last!
This was such a cute, fun romantic story. I really enjoyed everything about it. I love when I'm smiling at the end of a story and this story did that for me. I'm so glad that both Sid and Daren came to their senses.
OMG... this was soooo sexy! I am so impressed with the author's delivery of this quick love story. Friends to lovers is a fav of mine. I felt a lil erotica gushing from the pages... 🔥🔥 Great job Tan!! 💯🎉🎊
This was a quick and cute book about two neighbors who get to know each other over the course of shared laundry days. It is a cute concept and while enjoyed it for the most part, I didn't care too much Sidney. He knew he like Daren but didn't act on it. Instead he waited until she got a boyfriend then kinda got mad that she didn't realize he liked her...because he never said anything. He was just a little too realistic to real men for my liking.

Daren and Sid were neighbors, who became friends by doing laundry together. The more time they spent with each other, the more Sid feelings grew for Daren. When Daren got a boyfriend, Sid wasn't happy and decided to just give up., but when Daren gave him the opportunity to tell her how he really felt, Sid did that and more. Thus was a quick read, but it packed a hellva story. Friends becoming lovers and getting their HEA. This was my first read by this author and will not be my last!!!
Omg it was took short I want more of Sid and Daren. I'm so glad they both decided to through caution to the wind because there's nothing like losing out on the love of your life. Definitely a sweet and sexy read. This was my first read by this author and definitely not my last
Like she always does, Tanzania hooked me from the first few sentences and had me caught up in this cute, friends to lovers Valentine’s-themed novella. I love what she did with the character development for Sidney, even in this short story and I appreciated the small surprise twist! Never a disappointment, Tanzania always delivers!
I enjoyed this novella. I loved the characters, and the plot was such a cute play on the title. However, there was just something missing and I cannot put my finger on exactly what it is. I just needed something else from it. I still recommend it though. I’ll never look at going to the laundromat the same. *wink wink*
I normally don't read novellas since I'm a full, standalone type reader. But everybody loves a love story, right? Laundry Daze reminded me that true attraction still exists even after the boundaries have been set. The fact that the characters were just everyday working people chasing their dreams was a definite plus for me. I'm glad that both Sidney and Eaten were both open to the "possibilities" of L.O.V.E.
Laundry has never been so sexy! Okay with this different friends to lovers take. It was such a cute story and I loved how we got it from a different perspective. I really enjoyed it and I would love to get more of them in the future. Loved it!
Although this story was about finding a loving relationship, it was also too much fun. The laundry room aspect will have a whole new outlook for me in the future.
I do have one thing to say, I'm tired of these short books! Yes, they are well thought out, beautifully written and well placed but I want MORE!!! This was a tasty tale that deserves a sequel. I can't wait to read what you have in store for us next!
I enjoyed the fast paced storyline. Glover does a great job of showing the relationship the characters have built outside of the immediate events. The storyline doesn’t seem rushed out or out of character. Everything seems to flow naturally. I enjoy novels and novellas from this author.
Chhhiiillleee, this book was hot! I’m so upset right now because I need more of Sid and Daren! The spice just in that one scene alone was enough to send me spiraling! I absolutely loved it.
This is a super quick read that follows neighbors Daren and Sidney. From the first meeting these two strike up a friendship that develops into a deeper bond. Like a good neighbor Sidney was there it might of took him a minute to realize that what he wanted was his neighbor Daren but stayed patient. The pay off was hot as hell. Again this book is quick but I left feeling like it was enough. I mean I would love more but I'm greedy. I've been loving what this author has been putting out so far and this was no exception. Dope cover and good solid writing
I liked the friends to lovers theme and I think this novella left no stone unturned. I was able to follow how their reserved day meant so much to the both of them.
I enjoyed Sidney & Daren’s story. The way they met and their friendship was endearing. Sidney was hilariously silly and a really good guy who was honest with himself about what he wanted & with whom he wanted it 😏 at first. So, it was fun to watch him, & his ego, get knocked down a few pegs as he fell. I’m giving it four stars because although the lead-up was great & expected, the change in their relationship was slightly incongruous, for me but I REALLY enjoyed the lightheartedness of this cute Valentine rom-com. I recommend Laundry Daze if you’re in the mood for a cute quick journey to L❤️ VE.
What a cute fun read! Who knew laundry could be hot and sexy? Sid was a good dude, right from the beginning. Meeting his neighbor, Daren, peaked his interest; as she was so shy. Daren, was adamant on keeping Sid in the friendzone, as she said "friend" every opportunity she got. As they had more laundry "dates", Sid's feelings began to grow as well. Daren, got a sudden push on Valentine's Day, to make her feelings know to Sid. That scene in the laundry room was steamy! However, we need more! Hope there is more to their story to see how Daren is able to deal with her "situation". Enjoyed it. 👍👍👍
Sidney and Daren are neighbors who are friendly and bond over Wednesday evening laundry sessions in their building’s basement. He teaches her to play spades and she shares her home cooked meals with him.
When nothing goes as planned on Valentine’s Day, they find one another back in their spot only this time feelings are revealed and it becomes a night they will both remember.
I enjoyed Tanzania Glover’s, Laundry Daze. Her novellas are always particularly fun to read.
Tropes: Neighbors, Friends to Lovers, Cheating, Pinning, Anxiety Rep
Synopsis: Daren and Sidney are neighbors who end up do doing laundry together once a week and form a wonder friendship. But what happens with Daren gets a new boyfriend?
My thoughts: I loved this story! And I loved seeing Sidney point of view for the most of the novella!! I hated the cheating aspect! But I stan friends to lovers and thought this was so good! I also love the anxiety rep in this book and it was done so well!
Ooh I got excited when Sid realized his feelings for Daren. I started reading this short valentine story and baby its lit. I loved how creative Tanzania is with her storylines. I cannot say that enough. It was written so well that it felt believable. Now she got me looking at the laundry room in my apartment build funny. 😂 I loved it and highly recommend you to read because you are guaranteed to fall in love with this story and author as well.
I liked a lot! It's a quick story, so cute and with a little bit of spice. At first I had my doubts that the POV was from Sid and with him himself but he is chef's kisses 😙🤌
My only two objections are: that it's too fast, I want a long book of this story and that the ending is "open" and I want to know what happens next 🤭
