When Agata wakes up in the middle of nowhere after drinking an herb concoction given to her by an old Norwegian woman, she’s confused, afraid, and just wants to get home.
But she doesn’t get time to think about her situation, because a towering man resembling a battle-scarred Viking wielding an ax takes her as his property.
Although there’s a language barrier between her and the barbarian, she understands the one word he keeps calling her—wife. When Stian Dagmar finds a woman alone and unconscious in the woods, the first thought he has is that she’ll be his wife. She’d fight him, struggle for her freedom, but being with him would be a lot safer than what his world would give her.
He just has to show her that he can be a good provider and protect her from the dangers that surround them. Can Agata accept her new life and the feelings for Stian that grow within her, or will she go home the first opportunity that arises?
Reader note: This title was previously published as Ravish Her Completely. Although it has undergone a title change, cover update, and been re-edited, the story itself is the same. It may contain material sensitive to some readers.
Okay, well there is no denying that the cover made me do it (because you have to be barely breathing not to appreciate it) but I enjoyed this. If you're not going to moan over the questionable plot, you'll drool over Stian Dagmar the Norwegian Viking.
When away in Norway on a business trip, Agata forgot to heed the warning when she drank a potion at a festival of sorts. Where she thought she fell and bumped her head (I swear this isn't a nursery rhyme) she awakes to find herself transported back in time.
To a time of primitive living and barbarians, Stian has been shunned. Now living alone away from the village, finding an unconcious woman in the forest is like a gift from the Gods.
“Já.” He pointed to her. “Konna.”
The way he said it, telling her that she was his wife, was said with so much force, so much pure, unadulterated determination, that for a second, just a moment—she believed him. How could she feel any kind of lust for this man, this heathen?
Without much fanfare Stian intends to keep Agata as his wife. Surely being chained for awhile will get her to concede.
As Agata has been alone all her life, she finds it difficult to turn down this hot AF Viking who gets a hard-on just by gazing at her. Personally, I wouldn't need much convincing...
His blue eyes were trained right on her, intense, demanding, controlling. He cupped a breast, and she knew she should have slapped him, maybe kicked him in the dick, but she couldn’t move, couldn’t even breathe.
Ravish Her was a lusty and unrealistic smut fest about fated mates featuring hot mating and a HEA about two lonely souls.
I think I just found me a new trope I’m obsessed with. Modern day woman getting thrown into the Viking ages. Huge gorgeous half naked Viking finds you and claims you as his wife.
Hello?! Why haven’t I read this trope before?!
Omg! I freaking loved this book! An outcasted man known as “the beast” by his people has been living alone for years till he stumbles across a women while hunting.. she’s in weird clothing, materials he’s never felt before. She’s clearly not one of his old clan. Was she a gift from the Gods? “He was in need of a wife, a bed partner, and what a perfect gift from the gods for a monster like him. Whoever she was didn’t matter anymore, because now she was the wife of Stian Dagmar.” He doesn’t know but ends up taking her home. When she wakes, it’s clear they don’t speak the same language. Agatha thinks she’s in modern day kidnapped by some crazy ass who likes to role play as a Viking.
This is a really unique story about two people from two completely different worlds and not able to communicate easily trying to understand each other and grasp this new reality.
After two failed chances to run away, Agatha eventually realizes that she might not want to run away anymore. And she ends up getting a choice to go back to her lonely modern day life or to stay with her Viking. This book isn’t without drama. There’s a reason why Stian was outcasted and those warriors decided Stian needs to killed off.
I’m slowly reading books by Jenika Snow. Her books are really quick reads for me. Her books instantly draw you in and fast pace. Which is exactly what I personally love. I am definitely going to go back into her back list and read more of her books like this!
I love Jenika, but I believe she just needs more time with her books.
If she just took her time writing, these beautiful stories would have met their full potential. Regardless, Ravish Her was a fun read, with a deep backstory. There were some weaknesses to the narrative, for instance, how quickly the "language barrier" dissolved or how the MMC changed his attitude, but I looked past it because I liked the story.

STORY: Love this story. Brought me back to old school time travel/ historical romance books. Agata is on a business trip. While on the trip, she attended a festival that landed her in a different time and place and being held captive by Stian, a Viking beast. They both spoke neither of the other’s language, so that was interesting. I really liked Stian. He was a loner, and Agata’s description of him is so yummy. I need him to take me because I am ready! Agata was also likable as well.
CHEMISTRY: I think the story had three main characters, Agata, Stian and Stian’s penis. Agata, kept speaking on his length. I had to do a few eye rolls, so jealous. Once Agata got over trying to escape their chemistry was nice to read.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS There were none to speak of to see a follow up book.
Overall, a nice quick read that gave me sexy Viking and his damsel in distress.
***I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read and hope this review was helpful.

Jenika has owned my Novemeber so far. Plot, Agata is an unsatisfied business woman who time travels back to the Viking age where, she’s shown what it’s like to truly be owned by a man. This book was short and to the point. The amount of plot was surprising but it did feel slightly underdeveloped. Their language barrier only stopped being an issue after like three days (but for an 88 page novella pacing can’t be that accurate), The smut was good but definately left me wanting more. Only two sexual encounters before the epilogue. Overall this was just okay.
Ravish Her is a re-release of Ravish Her Completely and has been re-edited to give it a fresh look. This is the first time that I have read this story and I really enjoyed it. Agata was in Norway for business and when she went to a festival, things changed in her life. She wakes up in a hut with a strange man and not sure exactly where she is. When Stian saw her, he knew that she was for him. Loved their romance. It was intense and wonderful to read. Great read.
This was short, fluffy, spicy and had me chuckling at some parts of it. If these are the traits you are looking for this is book is definitely for you. My only issue was it was in third POV I usually stay clear of books like that but honestly I can’t say no to Jenika’s books. I always loved Jenika Snow’s books because they always made my day brighter even though her books are short but while reading I feel happy.
Kinda weird. Kinda wonderful. Not very developed, but entertaining. I liked both MC. And I dig the "mine"/barbarian/language barrier thing. Happy reading!

This was a short book with danger, fighting, smut and a happy ending. My first book by Jenika and it definitely won’t be my last. I loved how Stian and Agata’s relationship just blossomed into something extraordinary. They came from different worlds but were made for each other nonetheless. Working past their language barriers and learning from each other was amazing. It was a 50/50 relationship. She didn’t lose English and completely use his language to communicate and vice versa, they spoke both of their languages and understood each other. Such an awesome book!
‘She was a bigger girl, thick and curvy, a healthy size sixteen.’
Yeeeeessss! That my girl right there, flaunt those curves baby!!
‘Stian stared at the headless body in confusion and lifted his gaze to see Agata standing there, an axe in her hand and blood sprayed along her body.’
I love how powerful Stian is and when he realizes that his wife just decapitated someone, the feeling of pride goes from husband to reader. She’s such a strong female character and I’m living for it!
‘A home that offers you nothing. At least in this life, you can be someone, learn to care about someone so deeply it takes your breath away and makes you want to fight for him.’
“Ravish Her” by Jenika Snow is the first Viking/Fantasy/Time Travel romance that I read. I’m always up for new things and this book is a quick, easy and gritty romance.
Agata is an American businesswoman working in Norway where she makes contact with a strange woman, a seer. After their encounter she is transported back to a time forgotten and meets Sian.
Sian is a beast who needs taming and the strange woman from another time is the one to do it. He is rough and gruff, but gentle and kind as well. He is determined to keep the woman with him, but willingly not through force.
Agata puts up the good fight but in the end falls for the kind, caring, beast of a man who claims her as his. Ravish Her was an enjoyable read and a great outside of my normal, romance. TBR and enjoy.
I love this book, it’s time travel at its best!! Rough and gruff Stian has Agata fall right into his lap. Now he takes her to his hut on the outskirts of the village and calls her his wife. Agata is disoriented waking up in a time that is not her own and to see Stian, a beast of a man, is a little concerning for her. To top it all off there is a language barrier so she has difficulty communicating with him. She will do anything and everything to get back to her time but along the way she develops feelings for Stian and maybe her time isn’t looking all roses now. Fun and exciting story, just what I’ve come to expect from this author.
Ravish Her by Jenika Snow is a re-release that is sexy, sexy, sexy!! This is a Viking/time travel romance that is a lot of fun to read.
American businesswoman Agata who after drinking an herbal drink travels back to the time of the Vikings. She is confused and is lucky enough to meet Stian. He is a totally sexy alpha male who knows he wants Agata for himself, by his side and in his bed.
Stian is a typical male character written by Ms. Snow – sexy, gruff but gentle and always totally enraptured by the woman he loves/wants. This novella is a sexy fantasy. The characters are realistic and likable.
Nothing like waking up to your own, personal Viking! Agata gets transported back in time and meets Stian. Love at first sight for him and disbelief for her. Lots of steam and interesting to watch how they navigate the language barrier. Sweet epilogue.
Romance genre: time-travel Part of a series: No Length: 115 pages
Plot: Agata is in Norway for a visit, and while there she visits a sort of village fair, where an old woman gives her a concoction to drink. When she wakes up, she's been transported back in time, "rescued" by a big burly Viking. Nice! However, they can't communicate at all. He wants to keep her as his wife, and she wants to escape.
Character development: This is definitely not realistic, but then, that's not why I read time-traveling Viking insta-love stories. The main conflict in this story comes from the inability to communicate. Had they been able to do that, they might have just fallen in love with no problems. I do like that at the end of the story, Stian knows about the way Agata ended up in his land.
Would I read more from this author/in this series: Yes
Agata has been married to her job and the stress is starting to get to her. She is thrilled when her bosses send her to Norway to meet with their clients since she studied Norwegian as a way to connect with her roots. She decides to do some of the tourist stuff while she is there and ends up at a small town's festival. She meets an ancient Norwegian fortune-teller who tells her she isn't happy with her life as it is and offers a chance to find her happiness. Agata finds herself an herbal potion and finds herself waking up back in time. A viking warrior found her and is claiming her as his mate. The passion runs high between the two but is it high enough to convince Agata to stay?

He thought he would be alone forever until he runs across a strange woman who looks and acts differently from anyone he has ever known. He decides that this strange woman will be his wife whether she consents or not. Now he just has to convince her to stay

❤ this book. Agata is a big city corporate girl who has alwaysed felt like she didn't fit in. When she is in Norway for work she attends a festival and Hope's to tap into her roots. In a strange turn of events she is transported to a time where Vikings rule. Stian finds Agata and decides to take her as his wife...of course once she comes too she is so confused to where she is and who the incredible handsome man is. Not being to understand each other due to the language barrier only made this story more interesting. They had to learn to trust each other. I loved that Stain never pressured her to do anything against her will...if anything he was a very patient man. Also loved that when she escaped ( because we all know we would have done the same thing in her situation) and Agata is attacked by the villagers...Stain takes them all on for trying to hurt Agata. He could have been like well let her fend for herself she wanted to leave..but he didn't. In his heart she was his wife the moment he laid eyes on her and would defend her to the death...even when she didn't want anything to do with him. Loved how the story ended.
I saw an edit for this book on @ashleyalwaysreads Instagram and knew I had to give it a go! I am obsessed with Vikings. After watching The Last Kingdom, I knew I was done! So I was super stoked to find this Viking novella! I will say, my hopes were probably a little higher than they should have been, but the story itself was great. I found the book itself to be a little slow and wasn’t super motivated to read it like I normally am. But by the end I was rooting for the characters and enjoyed the storyline. I wouldn’t go into this expecting some life changing story/writing. But if you go into expecting a cool little Viking novella then you’ll definitely be pleased! I’m super excited to explore more Viking romances in the future!
It has been many years since I have read this book and was very happy to read it again. It gave me a feel good feeling of there being a parallel life being lived and of his love waiting to appear. Agata hasn't been happy with her present life for a while now. When she meets an older blind Norwegian at an outdoor event, Agata is given a chance to be happy. Stian is a viking living on his own who finds Agata all alone and takes Agata as his wife. With the village close by, Stian teaches Agata the language and the way of the land. Agata starts to feel that this new life that she is living with Stian is much better than living alone. This is a fast read of a man who has instant feelings for a woman that he has rescued. He just needs to bide his time for Agata to feel comfortable with him. Enjoy!
Ravish Her is one of those books that when you pick it up you think it is going to go one way, but as you dive into the story, you realize you are about to on a totally different ride. Agata is in Norway for business, and to feel closer to her past. When she drinks something an old woman gives her, she is thrust back to the in between. Stian also know to the villagers as the Beast, stumbles upon a woman that must have been sent from the Gods.
This is a unique romance that is filled with mystery and intrigue, time displacement as well as judgement. Agata and Stian are unable to communicate, but learn over time each others language. Agata is the type of woman Stian needs, strong, determined and fearless. Ravish Her is a well written story that was hard to put down.

This was a 5 star read for me but I’m not surprised because so far I’ve loved everything I’ve read of Jenika’s books. ✨ This is Vikings meets Time Travel meets Beauty and the Beast vibe but in a total erotically romantic way! Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect but the mystery from the beginning was captivating. From the moment that Agata (love her name by the way) meets the old woman, to landing in this new world, and then meeting Stian was magical. But also learning Stian’s history was heartbreaking. I wasn’t expecting so much depth at this point in the story still. ✨ I couldn’t put this book down. Honestly, I’m likely going to buy it. It was just the bit of magic, mystery, suspense, smut, and old world I needed. I wish I would’ve read it before yesterday because I just made a purchase of Jenika’s books. Adding this to my list to buy eventually.
This was a quick, fun, and steamy read. It is written in third person from an alternating dual POV.
Loved the escape that this read provided after a long day. Agata wakes up to find herself back in time. At first she thinks it is part of some elaborate hoax but it soon becomes apparent it is very real. Stian does his best to look after and protect the young woman he finds in the woods, despite her strong will and feisty attitude. I loved the premise of the book. There is plenty of enjoyable hot scenes. Stian is a warrior, but so is Agata. I love that she learns to trust and defend him as he defends her. I also really appreciated how they overcome the language barrier. There are some scenes of Viking bloodshed that some my find disturbing. I loved this book. It was just what I needed after a long day at work.
The minute I started Ravish Her, I felt like one of my Viking fantasies had manifested in book form. While the fantasy is great, I'm pretty sure I would have been as skeptical as Agata. Stian is a good guy even if he appears to be a completely ruthless warrior. He feels that she was brought to him by the gods and I can totally see why. But regardless of that deep belief, he doesn't treat her like a possession. I love that Agata doesn't give up, she tries to get back to her life. When evidence points to all of this being real, not a dream or something similar, she takes in the information and acts the way an intelligent person would. I loved how their relationship progresses, how truly likeable they both are. You are rooting for them from the get go and I'm so glad I read it, 5 stars!
I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. I enjoyed this short love story. This is a time travel romance between Agata and Stian. She is in Norway on business and wants to explore her heritage. An older woman gives her an herbal drink. She discovers when she wakes up that she has been sent back in time. Stian, a Viking, finds her and accepts that she is a gift from the Gods and takes her for his wife. They cannot communicate thru words which causes a lot of problems. He wants to protect, care for and love her. She is attracted to him but sure that she must go home. When given the opportunity, she will have to decide if she will follow her heart.

I have to honest and say that this was not one of favorite books by Ms. Jenika. I did really enjoy the ending but the rest of the book just didn't really do anything for me. Agata seemed great in the beginning but when she woke up it was like she was a whole different person. I actually really liked Stian; he was trying in his own way to show Agata his feelings and ways while she was resistant. I didn't really feel like there was a connection or chemistry, beyond physical, between Agata and Stian. I am glad that these two did get an HEA.
I received a free e-book copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
The author has taken us to another time and place and keeps us there. Agata is an independent business woman that has just one day available for sightseeing on her business trip to Norway. While at a festival she meets an old woman who gives her a herbal concoction to drink. Stian finds her in the woods and decides that she will be his wife. When she awakes, she finds herself in the distant past with no way to communicate with the stranger holding her captive. When she has the chance, will she return to her world or stay with the man who has become important to her?

I loved the concept of this story. Agata basically travels back in time and is plopped right in front of Stian. He takes her as a gift from above to be his wife. I loved how the most attractive feature to Stian was how strong Agata was. And she was strong, to go through what she went through with being captive and then trying to get help - only to be turned away by the villagers. I loved out unapologetic Stian was - he was a warrior, he was a beast and he owned it. Great story, different from anything I have read before.
