This was a go-to book for my kids when they were little. It was easy to tote around, it included the best of the best rhymes and the pictures could stand alone to keep little minds happy if they were paging through on their own. I'm very grateful that my sister (a teacher) gifted this book to us.
This is a nice little collection of some of the most prominent nursery rhymes. While the illustrations are quirky and probably enjoyable enough for children, they aren’t high quality. Nice to have different collections of famous, children’s poetry on your shelf, though.
This book is made for PreK-2, basically all ages. This book has won parents choice awards. This book helps children meet Humpty Dumpty, and Little Miss Muffet. This book also has the classic bedtime rhyme Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. These rhymes and poems are used for children or all ages. I enjoy these old time nursery rhymes. They're great for bed time and just for fun reading. Students can use these to read to each other and practice their reading with familiar rhymes. This could also be done in class with enlarged print and made into an everyday reading. I would use this in my class during morning meeting with the multiple rhymes. I would try and use one in the morning and at the end of the day. Children enjoy reading and listening to the funny rhyming that many of these stories give. In class i could also use it as a take home reading for them, as a literacy project or help, sos they can learn how to read better, at the rate they are comfortable at.
This classic collection of well know nursery rhymes, is the perfect starting collection. With classic children's songs, there is no better place to start than here. Perfect for rug fun, or to convey phonological meaning, these are the building blocks for children's beginning education.
I love this little collection, all of which I knew by heart as a child. These would be perfect for students, since they will more than likely already know them, and recollecting them would be easy. This would allow for an easier time using the words for mini lessons.
Ugh, more nursery rhymes. Of the 18 rhymes which include illustrations of people, only 2 include people who aren't white, and in both only as part of a large group of children. #WeNeedDiverseBooks
