I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Elena is so shy it’s painful all she wants is to blend into the background, she immerses herself into her hobbies and it’s that led to her first meeting with Asher. There is an instant connection between them but is Elena ready to give herself and face her fears when it becomes clear that Asher needs her support?

Asher is a well respected firefighter but mostly tries to keep to himself so when he meets Elena whilst building a walkway over the mud on the trail. He’s struck by her instantly but it’s not until he helps her round up her pressings that he learns her name. Now that he has that he makes himself a promise that this won’t be the last time they meet, but when a situation occurs will Elena stand by his side or leave him to face things alone?

These two characters were a lot different than what I am used to, both introverted and don’t trust easily but in each other they find their match. I’m not going to gush about this book because I did like it but didn’t totally love it. A new author for me and I will read more in the future. 3*

Elena finds it difficult to be around other people. She buries herself in her work and hobbies that let her stay in that solitude. As she gathers leaves on the mountain, pressing them right there in the field for later processing, she hears footsteps. They are ahead of her, so she presses another leaf. But the person is still ahead, so she rounds the corner and sees a man, shirtless, in jeans and boots, sweating from exertion. Then she notices he is building a boardwalk over a large stretch of mud on the trail. Neither of them say a word, just stand there looking at each other. There is no way to go around him because that whole section of the trail is mud and standing water. But he puts a fresh section down so she can cross. Mumbling her thanks, she feels his eyes on her as she walks across.

Later as he is returning to the parking lot, the wind has picked up and a gust carried a paper past him. He grabbed it and saw a leaf pressing. When he got to the parking lot, there were many scattered everywhere and the woman he met frantically gathering them. He helped and as she looked at him, she asked if they had gone to high school together. She was only there one year, homeschooled the rest of the time. But he managed to tell her his name and ask for hers as she got into the car and drove away. His roommate, Harrison, asked about the trails and saw the leaf pressing. He describes Elena and Harrison said she waitressed at May’s, the only bar in town. So he heads over to May’s after work, still in his fire department uniform, and they see each other right away. He brought her what turned out to be her favorite flower, and invited her to lunch. Then he helped put the flower in her hair, which kept her smiling for the rest of the day. Every encounter seemed to draw them closer as they instinctively seemed to know what the other needed to be comfortable. Will they eventually be able to find the HEA that could bring them the complete trust and happiness they never thought they would find?

Both Elena and Asher are not conversationalists. They are quiet and introverted, but recognizing that in the other, there is a quiet contentment and acceptance. As their relationship gets stronger, their confidence grows, even in so simple an act as Elena’s taking his hand as they walk together. She trusts him. They learn what makes each other smile. Grab your copy and watch as their relationship unfolds like a flower in the sun. Do they have the courage to take a chance on love and begin a life together?

Elena is a very shy woman who is happiest being alone out in nature. She really enjoys doing plant pressing and is spending the day out get more samples. On her hike she runs across a sexy man doing work on the path. She is instantly drawn to him but she is too awkward and shy to say much. A little while later he rescues a few of her plant pressings that were blown away. His conversations about plants really bring her out of her shell.

After their meeting Asher can't get Elena out of his mind. He is determined to get to know her better. He asks around and finds out where she works. He goes there and asks her out but she is too insecure to agree. Then he asks if he can stay and talk with her through closing. Elena gets brave enough to say okay. As they get to know each other better sparks fly but will Asher ever make Elena feel secure in his feelings for her?

Finding Someone That Completes You

Asher and Elena were not what I was expecting, and that made the book even more sweet and touching. This book is all about finding that one person that just gets you, weirdness, quirks and all the other things we think no one can ever put up with. It’s about finding someone who loves you for who you are, and not being afraid to wait for the one person who inspires you to want to be a better version of yourself. There was a bit of drama at the end, but it was a good way of pushing our characters outside of their comfort zones to the HEA waiting on the other side. Can’t wait for more of these sweet romantic stories ❤️

Can Fire fighters really love botany too?

With each new addition to the Lost Mountain Fire and Rescue series I learn just how much more there is to a fire fighter than just fighting fires. Just like normal civilians they have other interests. When Elena is out collecting leaves from various types of plants to press them on paper in order to preserve them she runs into Asher who was taking a shirtless break from building a bridge in the middle of the heat of the day. Immediately fascinated with one another Elena agrees to a lunch date with Asher. Unaware that her testosterone that first lunch date will change their lives forever.

Asher is a firefighter who meets and falls for bar attendant and waitress, Elena.  Their relationship is a fast and happy one.  She is introverted and had anxiety as against Asher being assured and confident,  but they work and I like the way they compliment each other's personalities. Lots of emotional intimacy and tension are bought out in this story along with a little steamy moments.  I like the way she did up for him despite her anxiety.  The strength she showed.
This was a lovely story.
This was an ARC and this is my honest review.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this quick story about Asher and Elena. She's a quiet young woman who is shy and works at a bar and likes to press leaves and flowers. That's how she meets Asher, out collecting samples she runs across him building a bridge. Asher works for the fire department and volunteers, by helping build a bridge on the trail. When he shows up at the bar with her working, it's the start of a new friendship. Great HEA.

Elena is a very shy, introvert, quiet women who likes to walk in the woods and press leaves and flowers. She meets Asher, who's a firefighter for the Lost Mountain Fire and Rescue. He is quiet and the guys don't hear him say much at all. They both have had difficult family lives. It was so rewarding to watch the relationship develop between Asher and Elena. Will these two forge a way to their own HEA? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Elena and Asher are the match made in the mountains. I love how both characters are shy and enjoy the silence, and know that when they speak it is something important. Their story has a bit of drama that makes them step out of their comfort zone. I love getting lost in their story as their relationship and chemistry grew each time they spent together.

Asher and Elena are both quiet, reserved people that come from difficult, disfunctional pasts. Yet when they meet gentle sparks fly and they can't take their eyes off the other.  When Asher is accused of aggravated assault Elena will push herself to do what she never thought possible to save the man she's fallen for.

Elena is shy and quiet. She is out in the Forrest collecting plants to press when she runs I to Asher, a local firefighter, splitting wood to make a path over muddy areas on the trail. They hit it off and start dating. Great short story with a HEA.

I love the matching of Asher and Elena. Both such quiet souls who love the outdoors, which is how they are lucky enough to meet. Their story is so great, with instalove, a little steam, a curvy woman, a little drama that they need to handle together but brings them closer, and a HEA.

The author had given us characters we can care about. Elena and Asher are both very introverted people, but are able to find common ground with each other.

Oh my God, this story was perfection. I loved both Asher and Elena and how they were the perfect compliment to each other. Being first for everything is wonderful and gives you a chance to see how they both grew as individuals in their relationship.

This series has been wonderful and entertaining to read. Anxious to see what comes next.
