This was a really good read. Definitely enjoyed. Didn’t care much for the cliffhanger but what can you do? 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾

Nothing I hate more than when the author lose the plot to their own damn book because girllll, wtf was this fr???? It’s like she changed her mind 3 times about the direction she wanted this book to go in.
Don’t get me wrong the book was entertaining and it also started off really good but somewhere down the line the plot was lost and there were MAJOR inconsistencies. The book started off with the author telling us that Stasia was a virgin and then around the 30% mark she wasn’t a virgin and she had already been having sex from the 10th grade. Then we were told her sister was only 3 years older than her and was suppose to be 21. But when they went to the party we were told that the sister was 24🫤🫤.
The book started off with Stasia being somewhat of a tomboy with a chill vibe like one of the homies. But the tomboy storyline was just lost and forgotten. This book did a whole 180 because Stasia was just busting it open, cheating, and the author literally turned her into a bird. The author literally had HER begging him to have sex with her before they even got in a relationship. She couldn’t even form a proper thought without thinking about banks dick. Like girl please BFFR. Aside from the baby thing with Londyn, Stasia really wasn’t no different. Both of them were birds👎🏽.
Around the 85% mark we started getting all type side characters POV and the storyline just became something totally different. We had a whole chapter with no storyline other than a Sya and Gang sex scene. I mean every chapter was a sex scene. It got to a point I started skipping them. Keep in mind aside from Sya who is 21/24 (who knows🙄) all of them are teenagers who JUST graduated high school.

Story was okay. Did too much going back and forth to me before getting together. The characters weren’t really likable. A lot of cheating. Story ended on a cliffhanger and not really that interested in reading the rest. Wouldn’t be surprised if Sya set her up. And why wouldn’t Gang call to say what happened to Bank and why wouldn’t Sya call Gang once she came to? Just dumb.

Difficult to understand due to too many grammatical errors. Some of the sentences were really redundant or used the same word too many times. For example: every other sentence began with “she.”
Now as for the story, the book took a completely different turn around the 80% mark. As the title and majority of the story implied- the focused was on the besties becoming more. Then the author did something, interesting- at the end.
So now I’m not sure what is happening. Surely this isn’t revenge for being played.
Either way, I liked the tomboy ish manner of the FMC. Initially the story was giving, the homies who finally see each other. And then it became…i don’t know, childish.

Bank and Stasia stressed me out. Mostly bank. A lot of their issues wouldn’t even exist if Bank just came out and confess his feelings from the beginning. I loved the bond they had as best friends but it seems like everybody knew they were so much more except them. Londyn was delusional and trifling. I always knew Stasia was moving on to the wrong person. I did not like Sya. It was ridiculous how boy crazy she was. She came off as if she didn’t care much about her daughter at all. I'm looking at all angles and giving everyone the side eye bc things just happen coincidentally. On to part 2!!

Loved Banks
I absolutely love Banks. He loved Stasia so hard. But he was a typical high school male looking for sex. Only when someone wanted Stasia did he realize the feelings he had for her. I’m glad both of them gave in and took a chance on love.

That ending was crazy
Friends to lovers was a seamless ride and worth the read. Great sex scenes and love story. I enjoyed the book but the ending might be a bit much. I won’t know until I read part 2.
