He’s a cocky pirate lusting for revenge. She’s the key to his destiny. Together they will discover new worlds.
North has always tried to pave her own path, to break free from the shadows of the most powerful fae in Oz. Being born without magic of her own makes it difficult, but that doesn’t stop her from wishing desperately for it.
Tik-Tok does what he wants, says what he wants, and rules how he wants. The sea has been his home, but even after decades as captain of The Temptress, he is still without the one thing he needs: the prophesied female who can open portals through the sea. Without her, he can’t achieve his greatest desire, and that is a fate he will never accept.
When Tik-Tok finds North—the fae he’s been waiting for—he wastes no time stealing her away. He isn’t expecting to fall in love with her, perhaps a quick tumble, sure, but nothing more. Yet the past he’s forced to confront may do more than haunt him … it may destroy North.
Tik-Tok is the final book in this dark fantasy romance series. If you love seductive fae pirates, independent female leads, and Hades and Persephone vibes, then you won’t want to miss this epic conclusion.
I spend my days consumed by words and hoping to one day find my own DeLorean time machine. My life consists of avoiding migraines, admiring Bonsai trees, watching classic movies, and living with my husband and daughter in Texas—where it can be forty degrees one day and eighty the next!
Tik-Tok is the fourth and final book in the Faeries of Oz fantasy series written by Candace Robinson and Amber. R. Duell, and what a conclusion is has come to! These novels are best read in order as you find out secret relationships and shocking truths about some of our famous friends from the land of Oz. In this latest installment, the focus is on Tik-Tok and North, two characters we knew only a little about in the previous books... but they bring a thrilling power and seduction to the tale.
Tik-Tok's on a quest to open a portal. North is the young daughter of Tin and Thelia, and she's visiting the ruler of Oz when calamity strikes. Immediately, readers are forced to choose sides between beloved characters. How does one do it? Not easily thanks to both of these clever authors. Our hearts want North to remain innocent and untouched by the world of darkness, but we've come to respect Tik-Tok (despite is pirate ways) because of what he did in the previous book. While rooting for them to get together, we also want North to escape his clutches. Toss in an enemy with revenge on her mind, a siren who guides them to safety, and a sea witch with her own needs... this world might never be the same again.
I very much enjoy this series because it's rooted in strong character foundations, a setting we've loved since childhood, and the imagination of two dazzling minds. Beyond the adventure story readers also experience characters we once thought innocent engaging in erotic fantasies, experiencing sexual gratification for the first time, and learning how to tempt one another. There's a bit of everything in the Faeries of Oz, and I'm gonna miss the creativity and depth both authors brought to them. Thankfully, another series is on its way with a different set of characters, and I am looking forward to it!
I know I say this with every Faeries of Oz novel, but this one is definitely my new favorite. It’s dark and sexy and takes place at sea. And there are pirates. What’s not to love? Robinson and Duell crafted a seamless tale with high-seas adventure, powerful magic, and true love. Did I mention there were pirates?
This book is terrible. I wish the authors had put in a bit more effort. The writing is immature and campy. The fmc has a flat personality that I’m pretty sure the authors tried to make her strong, but was annoying more than anything.

An enemies to lovers Oz inspired romance that was fun and easy and enjoyable. This is the final book in the series but I still need to read the prequel, Lion.
I'm glad I picked up this series. It's been a fun ride and I'm excited to read more by the authors soon.
This series was just such a weird one. It started so strong with Tin and then each book got worse. Finally, Tik Tok came out with the classic rake-y pirate and chaste girl tropes and it wasn't bad. It wasn't great. I wasn't a big fan of North only finding her magic after tossing away her V-Card and there was some implied dub con that the author kept trying to reinforce wasn't dub con.
Just a messy piece of more Oz lore with the author trying to cram smut and plot at weird points.
Just as the previous books in this series, I really enjoyed this one. Been a while since I read the last but got back into the story and world quite quickly. I loved the different setting of this one a lot, who doesn't love a band of rogue pirates. Great continuation of the same stories but with new characters to learn about and love
“Tik Tok” is the fourth and final installment on the “Faeries of Oz” Series by Candace Robinson & Amber R. Duell, who excel in expanding the world of the classical Wizard of Oz with brand-new elements to craft an extraordinary epic fantasy series, with a fantastic world-building and multidimensional characters that feel real and credible at all times.
This is the story of Tik-Tok and North, which starts as your typical enemies-to-lovers romance, but it is so, so much more, while solidly rooted in the ‘Fae of Oz’ world, it has an independently flavour of its own and it has pirates 😉, yeah… pirates… in Oz 😊! I refuse to give any details of the plot away, it is sooo good and seriously Robinson & Duell, so it sooo, sooo much better, but let me say that Tik-Tok love for freedom and his reluctance to do anything else that what he deems to be his will (considering the years-on-end he spent under Wizard’s rule, that is only understandably) meet its match as he finds North, her prophesied mate, who should be able to open portals through the sea, but seems to have not magic of her own. Tik-Tok spirits away North for his own self-selfish end, without planning of falling for her, which changes about anything.
The “Faeries of Oz” series takes adult readers back to Oz, with wonderful, fully fleshed characters that, despite their ‘fantasy’ outlook are very credible and entirely relatable at all times. It’s a gripping tale, with ups and downs, twists, heartbreak and recovery, and everything needed in a perfectly executed fantasy tale.
The writing duo Robinson and Duell works seamlessly together, impossible to tell them apart in the story, which is in fact an extraordinary feat, that makes the story even easier to follow from cover to back, they do an amazing job of evolving Oz, adding, and evolving the world organically, captivating the reader from the very first page and taking them along for the fast-paced, action filled ride. A real unputdownable book, whose only side-effect could be a lack of sleep the day after reading 😊 balanced by a feeling of utterly satisfaction, and dreaming is the best medicine but anyway sleep is fully overrated…. This story provides you with tons of the first, so what if it takes some of the later 😉
Tin has been my favorite out of the series, UNTIL NOW!! Tik-Tok is a sexy pirate, who can come across gruff, but he cares about his crew and is loyal to the core. Has no need for a woman, because he satisfies his needs just fine with women here and there. Then he meets North, Tin and Dorothy’s daughter, and he needs her to open a portal in the sea. But he begins to see more in North and things get steamy!!! If you have enjoyed this series so far, then you have to read Tik-Tok! I promise you will LOVE it!! Lots of adventure and lots of steam!!
I couldn't get more than a few chapters in. Other reviews that led me to pick this up kept saying swoony and romantic, but I just cringed on almost every page. The writing is juvenile, as if written for teens who have the reading comprehension of a stump.
The Faeries of Oz series is wonderful. Tik-Tok might be my favorite book in the series. Candace Robinson and Amber R. Duell have written characters that you become attached to. I loved following North as she discovers her magic and her strength. North needed to be away from her powerful family to find herself. Tik-Tok has a difficult past to overcome. The two of them together along with the rest of the crew become a new type of family. I hate to see this series end. I would love to experience more adventures with these characters I've grown to love.
I've really enjoyed this version of Oz, and this was the perfect conclusion to the series. I loved North's journey to find herself and her place in the world. It's not easy coming from such a badass family, as amazing and supportive as they were. The new characters in this were a lot of fun, and you can't go wrong with traveling the sea on a pirate ship. It's been so much fun reading each generation's story. I'm sad it's over, but I can't wait to do a series reread and live it all again.
***I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary ARC of this book.***
I really enjoyed this one. Enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes. I liked the tension that built up in their romance and it was fun to read about. I loved Tik Tok's character in Ozma so seeing him front and center along with Tin and Thelia's daughter was fantastic. The plot line itself did seem to lack a bit and it was what kept it from being a full five stars. I felt like the plot was barely there, but the romance was great.
Loved the end of this series!! Such a fun book series to binge. With this book, we follow Tin and Dorothy’s daughter, North, when she gets taken away with TikTok aboard his ship.
If you love Hades and Persephone retellings, then this book is for you!! Such a fun, spicy read!! 🌶️
I’m still so impressed by the authors for taking such a KNOWN world and truly making it their own.
Ahhh I’m so not ready to accept this is the end. But what a brilliant conclusion to the series! I loved the pirate setting aboard The Temptress and the snarky attitudes of our new main characters.
Tik-Tok and North have earned their place alongside the other brilliant duos in the series, proving to be just as interesting and entertaining. Can’t wait to dive into other works of the authors ☺️
Thank you to Candace for sending me the eARC of this! Cannot wait to get my hands on a physical copy when it’s released in November.
Okay, let me just start by saying that the cover for this book is a PERFECT FIT!! The characters, colors, water... just everything! It's absolutely beautiful and brings out the essence of the story 100%. Now that that's out of the way, lets talk about all that is Tik-Tok, North, the pirate ship crew and everything magic! North is the daughter AND granddaughter of some of the most powerful characters of the previous books in the Faeries of Oz series, so I knew going in that something was bound to be powerful and unforgettable in every way. Trust me these authors did NOT disappoint! This is officially the first series that I've given literally every book in it 5 stars!! I'm obsessed! North is a gorgeous young lady with flowing silver hair - compliments of Tin - her infamous father turned right. She has spent her entire life under the impression that she has no magic. As if being a princess isn't pressure enough, but not coming into any magic... still... in her young adult years, it's definitely a heavy burden to bear. Tik-Tok knows better... We met Tik-Tok, the turn people into stone pirate with a golden arm and an attitude to match in Ozma. We know that he's on a life long mission and that he's been promised a gifted child by the powerful king and queen. But, we don't know exactly what child or when this is going to happen. When the King and Queen present their newborn, Tik-Tok shows up. He'd been instructed by a Sea Witch that the time has finally come, and when he arrives to collect, everything goes askew. He knows instantly that North is the Fae that's meant to deliver the portal opening magic that he's after the very instant he sees her. He can smell it inside of her, despite her age, timing and the fact that everyone at court is willing to fight against him. North is strong willed and brave. She goes with Tik-Tok willingly in order to save the newborn child as well as to stop a war from happening at her expense. Besides, she's always dreamed of big adventures and pirate ships. Although she loaths Tik-Tok at first, she's still willing to trust his promise that she wont be harmed. It takes some time and self discovery to pull the magic from deep inside of herself, which gives Tik-Tok the time and perspective he needs to accept his feelings for her. These two are such a unique and genuine match! I love the dynamics between them as well as the back story that Tik-Tok brings to the table. The crew has some secrets and stabby surprises of their own, but there is nothing that can stand in the way of Tik-Tok's love for North and the dedication he has to his life long mission of revenge. They're quite an awesome band of misfits full of shocking magic. I mean, there's a siren for hell sake!! The ending is one giant build up to emotional chaos, and it really goes out with a bang! I love everything about this book from beginning to end! 5 stars PLLUSSSSS!
A huge huge, HUGE thank you to Candace for giving me an ARC for Tik-Tok
SUMMARY: A world to escape…
North has always tried to pave her own path, to break free from the shadows of the most powerful fae in Oz. Being born without magic of her own makes it difficult, but she still has the love of her life in her corner. Or, at least, until she learns that he doesn’t return her feelings, ripping a gaping hole in her heart.
Tik-Tok does what he wants, says what he wants, and rules how he wants. The sea has been his home—his—except when he was begrudgingly bound to serve the now-dead Wizard. But even after decades of freedom, he is still without the one thing he needs: the prophesied female who can open portals through the sea. Without her, he can’t fulfill his destiny.
When Tik-Tok finds North—the fae he’s been waiting for—he wastes no time stealing her away. He isn’t expecting to fall in love with her, perhaps a quick tumble, sure, but nothing more. However, a past he is forced to confront may do more than haunt him … it may destroy North.
MY THOUGHTS: Excuse me while I go hose myself down with cold water. Hot damn. Each book gets steamier and steamier and I am here for it. I have adored this series and I'm so sad that its coming to an end. I would sell one of my kidneys for more books. It's so very rare to find a series where every book is just as amazing as the last but faeries of Oz doesn't fall victim to this. Thank you Candace and Amber for coming together and bringing this new world of Oz into our lives.
This is the fourth and final book in the series Faeries of Oz. It follows the story of Dorothy(Thelia) & Tin's Daughter, North and the merciless pirate Tik-Tok. I was surprised at how much I thoroughly loved this story. Even though I absolutely loved the other three books this one I was worried about considering the new characters, but Candace & Amber did EXCELLENT on character building for these two characters as well as the rest of the pirates crew mates! Tik-Tok made a deal with Ozma & Jack 20 years ago that when the time came he would come "collect" a young girl with silver hair that could open portals. No one ever thought it would have been North though, she never showed any signs of having magic, even though she was the daughter of two very powerful Fae. Your heart immediately is taken on a journey of love for North, as she is rejected by the one man she was in love with. I would consider this an enemy to lover type of book, even though neither technically hated each other, their relationship began in a shakey and forced manner. The emotions that this book will take you on, definitely will have you in a rollercoaster of love, hate, adventure and sorrow. One of my favorite aspects of this book is the way you can see North & Tik-Tok both grow into their personalities. As they grow into their confidence, love, and magic. I am truly sad to see their story over, as well as the other characters of Oz. I'd read anything that continued all of their journeys! Definitely recommend to anyone who loves fantasy, magic, slight romance & adventure!
Thank you, once again, to Candace and Amber for an ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.
I have loved absolutely every book in this series so far, so I was thrilled when Candace reached out to me to read this one early as well! I love their take on The Wizard of Oz and how incredible the world is that they’ve created. When I heard this was about Tik-Tok, a low key favorite character from Ozma, I was super excited to see where his story would go. I was not disappointed! The lead in prologue sucked me right back in and I couldn’t put this book down! It was SO GOOD!
I absolutely adored how they set up the relationship between Tik-Tok and North. I was obsessed with North. Sassy, classy, and a true force of her own, her growth in this novel was unparalleled. I loved watching her come into her own in her own magic as well as her self defense. I really enjoyed the way she was written and that she was able to be vulnerable, trust herself, and still be able to lean of people. I also loved Tik-Tok’s journey and how is was learning that it’s okay to be vulnerable.
I wish we could get a story about Echo! I absolutely loved her! What an intriguing, but incredible character. All in all, this book was everything! I loved this series so much and I can’t wait to see what Candace and Amber come out with next!
“This kind of thing always works better in my novels.” “What is it you’re trying to do, my star?” “Rowing.” “Is there a reason for it?” “I was trying to be romantic.”
I went into this book knowing that I was going to absolutely love it! As I’ve been screaming at the top of lungs, what can possibly be better then a sexy Wizard of Oz retelling where the main characters are Fae and nothing is as you remember… nothing!
Tik-Tok, pirate and Fae hell bent on seeking revenge and will do anything to reach his goal, including cutting off his own arm or kidnapping the daughter of the most notorious assassin.
North, daughter to the most powerful Fae in Oz, but does she have any power of her own?
This book had a some enemies to lovers vibes that I completely adored. Tik-Tok was absolutely everything, dangerous, sexy and funny but also very sensitive under North it all (just how I like my Hero’s haha) And it was amazing to watch North learn about herself and her strength and put that Pirate in his place.
I absolutely recommend this series! And I will be over here sending positive vibes into the universe that the authors decide to extend this series further.
I want to start off by saying that I received this book. In return for my review and my thoughts. His is the final book in the Faeries of Oz. What a way to end this series I loved this book and all books before. Candace and Amber didn’t disappoint. I enjoy the worlds and the characters that they create. These will definitely books that I will be rereading in the future. Thank you Candace and Amber for allowing me to get to know such amazing characters. This book I felt was way more sexy and dark. North and Tik-Tok love hate relationship I was living for. I highly recommend this book. It’s short and it action and dark packed. About Book: Tik-Tok helped Ozma defeat the wizard in exchange for something or someone. Tik-tok has been fighting his whole trying to get back to someone who hurt him and his family/ And he needs someone with a portal magic. Will get that portal open after twenty years. North the daughter of royals and trying to figure out why she has no magic unlike her grandparents and parents. She wants love and to find herself. When North and Tik-tok come face to face things change and sacrifices have to be made. Again highly recommend this book and one and two and three. These book are about different Oz couples.
Another fabulous book in The Faeries of Oz series! I love how characters from the individual titles overlap, but that every book has a unique focus. Tik-Tok and North have their own journey filled with adventure, learning to trust, and finding the magic buried deep inside.
As with the rest of the series, the steam and spice are pretty high and well done.
I love having two narrators for each book, as well. One thing that I really appreciate is how Amber and Candace don't repeat scenes so the reader sees things from both Tik-Tok's and then North's POV, which keeps the story moving at a nice pace.
If you liked the other books in this series, your only disappointment will be that this seems to be the last book in the series. (I'm holding out hope for more stories one day, though!)
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
“Tik Tok” is the fourth and last novel in the “Faeries of Oz” Series by Candace Robinson & Amber R. Duell, When you begin to read their novels it is as if she is spinning a beautiful web and you are caught in the middle. She spins that web and you have a front row seat to see those characters develop and mature. You watch their lives and it is if you are right there able to talk to them but no; they do not hear you, you are the audience to the lives they live. This is a brilliant read! It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention. The world building is detailed and imaginative. This novel has strong, well developed characters and an interesting story line that keeps you turning the pages. I recommend this novel and would read more novels by this author. I gave this honest, voluntary review after being given a free copy of the novel.
2.5 stars rounded down. this has been sitting on my kindle for ages and was the perfect little read for a plane ride.
that being said. i did not need to read it. it’s a fine story and i always love any sort of Oz inspired story but as i’m not as familiar with tik tok i didn’t care very much and it didn’t really feel like it built out the story of this world at all for me.
also i’m so sorry but i’m so over pretty much any story where a fae male that is hundreds of years old falls in love with a 19 year old they’ve kidnapped “there’s never been anyone like her” okay that’s not true that’s a child but yeah sure go off i guess. idk i understand how tropes work but also i’ve had enough of this one for now.
I liked it but I had a hard time with Tik-Tok and other females even tho his encounters were before he met North. Still one tho even before he stopped he still did a little too much before I wanted to punch him in the nuts even tho again they weren't together. There were parts I thought weren't done the best I guess and that's when she dealt with a fatal wound because you new it was coming but it was almost anti climatic at the same time. Then there were things I felt could have been expanded on as well but weren't. But over all it was a good story I'd probably read it again.

Hands-down my favorite book in the Faeries of Oz series!
Tik-Tok is a pirate. A pirate! I am weak for pirates - especially cocky ones - and Tik-Tok is all swagger.
In this final tale of the series, Tik-Tok sets out to collect the last item needed for a long awaited revenge plan. To everyone's dismay, that item turns out to be North, the heartsick daughter of Dorothy and Tin. There's no love lost between North and Tik-Tok, but that friction may just cause a spark.
Here we meet North, granddaughter of Reva, and daughter of Tin. She finds her happiness with Tik-Tok, pirate extraordinaire and gifted with a purpose. The storyline was novel and engaging peppered with the adults only scenes that were part of the entire series. I will definitely read the upcoming Wonderland series, can't wait to see what goes on there!
I didn't think I would like this one because I didn't like Tik-Tok in the last book. But this was the only book in the series where I was satisfied with the smut scenes and I can believe the main characters relationship. Even though I don't understand a very old Fae with a 20 year old fae hitting it off so easily and a virgin hitting it out of the park on her first go. But we'll go with it, that's the magic of romance books.
“Tik-Tok blinked. Then blinked again. She. missed. By a lot. Whirling, one brow hiked up his forehead, he studied North as if he’d never seen her before . "You… " He rubbed a hand over his mouth, unsure of what to say. Had she missed on purpose? No. Judging by her flaming red checks, she had actually tried to hit the mast. "Your father is Tin." -Tik-Tok
Tik-Tok is so funny ! Love him and North . Love that Tik-Tok is a lot like Tin in a way . Perfect ending for oz
