He wasn’t expecting to return to his home town but when he gets an offer that would be stupid to turn down he decides enough time has passed and Felicity is bound to be married by now, so imagine his shock when on his first night home he bumps into Brad and discovers that the woman he loves is still single and more beautiful than he remembered. Can Drew continue without the woman he wants as his or has the time come to claim her as his?
Great short read with two main characters who were always meant to be together. Highly recommended read and I am looking forward to more from this series. 4* Read.
I Miss You is the first book in the Alphas Love Big Curves series and is the story of Drew Morris and Felicity. Drew is best friends with Brad and he has a major craving for his younger sister Felicity. A year or two after the boys graduated high school finds Brad in college and Drew working as a mechanic for the local garage. But he needs feels the need to get out of town and he decides to join the Marines. He also did it so he could get away from the temptation that is Felicity. Felicity has had a crush on her brothers best friend Drew for years but he never looks at her and barely talks to her. However, she has caught him looking at her some times when she is checking him out also. But when he joins the Marines and leaves she tries to put him out of her mind and move on with her life. After she graduated high school she went to culinary school in France and then came back to Mountain Cove to set-up a bakery. It has been five years since the Drew has been back but he finds himself driving into town once again. He has come back as the owner of the garage wanted to retire and asked Drew to manage it. He also made a deal with Drew so that when he died Drew would inherit the garage and also his old Victorian house in town. Now that he is back the temptation of Felicity, who has grown up and filled out into a woman, is stronger than ever.
This is a quick read that has a nice story-line and characters. I did find the dialogue at times stilted and the virgin trope was a bit much for both of them, sorry but I really rolled my eyes on that one. Additionally there are a lot of proofreading errors for just a short story and this was really aggravating. I thought this was an okay book that has the potential to be better.
Drew has had a crush on his best friend’s younger sister, Felicity, for years but never acted on his feelings because he thought his friend would kill him if they got involved. When he graduated from high school he joined the Marines so that he wouldn’t be tempted by Felicity. Felicity also had a crush on him but thought he didn’t like her because he always avoided her. Drew returned 5 years later to run an auto shop and now Felicity ran a very successful bakery business. When she has an emergency plumbing issue she calls Drew very early and he brings his tools over so the faucet can be fixed. Will Drew and Felicity confess their feelings for one another? How will her brother react o their possible relationship?
I give this cute story of 2 people afraid to reveal their feelings 4.5 stars. They were afraid that her brother would be upset and Drew valued their friendship too much to hurt his best friend. The epilogue was a great ending for their story.

Missing Her Curves is the first book in Julie Scarlet’s Alphas Love Big Girls series. In it readers follow the romantic journey of Felicity and Drew in this love at first sight romance. This book was a quick and enjoyable read. I liked Ms. Scarlet’s character-driven plot. We get to witness Felicity and Drew as total strangers to become a loving couple. It is a nice twist that Ms. Scarlet chooses to portray her lead characters as virgins. I appreciate her use of a cast of supporting characters to enhance this simple romantic plot. Ms. Scarlet’s use of dialog was well done. The banter between the couple made me smile. Their inner monologue was charming and provided a deeper look into their personalities. Her descriptive scenes drawing readers into the story making it seem as if they are first-hand witnesses. I think it is great that she ends with a cliff hanger that leads readers into the next book. This is a delightful read and a perfect way to escape.
Julie Scarlet launches a new series, Alphas Love Big Curves, with I Miss You. Drew has been in love with his best friend's younger sister for a while. Believing her off-limits and also wanted to get out of their small town, he joins the Marines. When he returns five years later, Felicity has graduated from culinary school and is running her own pastry business. Drew tries to honour his friendship with Brad, but when Felicity reaches out needing help one morning, all bets are off, and neither can deny their mutual attraction any longer. Drew and Felicity are super cute and sweet, both having saved themselves for one another, and with some scorching chemistry, this is a fun, steamy, and quick read.

The first book in the Alphas love big curves series and boy oh boy its packed with so much heat that i was seriously considering wearing my kitchen mittens while holding the book because the hotness was seeping out of the pages. This is a quick read but worth every sentence as the chemistry between Drew and Felicity is unbelievable. Drew returns home after being away for 5 years. Joining the marines hasnt taken away the thoughts or feelings for his best friends sister away its only made his love for her stronger.... and even though its wrong and he knows it will upset his friend Drew cant keep away from Felicity.

Super super sweet tale. Drew had news from a very young age that his best friends little sister Felicity was the woman for him. But he knew that Brad would be devastated if he tried anything. So when he finish school he left for the The Marines just so he wouldn’t be close to Felicity.
Five years Later he’s back and he’s back to stay. He bumped into Brad who tells him that his sister is still living in the house they grew in till it’s sold. What will happen when Felicity & Andrew set eyes on each other again?? This story is super sweet you find yourself smiling all the way through and it will leave your heart happy. Just a wonderful little short story that will improve anybody’s mood.

Spoilers - Drew and Felicity meet as he is best friends with Brad, her brother. He goes into the military and she goes to cooking school in France. Now, five years later, they are both back in town. Her brother leaves for a few months while she stays in their parents house until it sells. Right after he leaves, at 4 am, she needs help and calls Drew, who does not hesitate to come over. They talk and find out they have the same feelings for each other. The romance skyrockets. The ending is perfect.

Drew left town because he was so in love with Felicity; now years later he is returning to take over running the local auto repair shop. Drew ran into his best friend at the bar and he invited him over to the house to catch up and have pie. Drew was surprised to see Felicity at the house. He still was so in love with her! Felicity felt the same about him. Now that they were living back in the same town they would be running into each other - could they simply ignore each other? This story is funny, entertaining, sexy, and has so much love. You will find it very enjoyable!

Some of my favorite tropes are here: long-term secret crushes, tough guy with a heart of gold, curvy women, virgin alpha male.
However, I couldn't really get behind the longing couple's major setback of the brother/best friend POSSIBLY being upset with the match. Possibly, because he's never mentioned a concern one way or another... They're just scared completely by the unknown, enough to NEVER EVEN HINT at a mutual attraction. They're even complete virgins because they're so deeply in love with each other! But Stars fade before we mention a word to brother dear.

This is the first in the series. Drew has had feeling for Felicity for a long time, Felicity has had feelings for Drew for a long time. Drew leaves trying to forget Felicity. Drew is back and his plan to forget did not work out the way he thought. This is a quick read but it is worth it. Before you know it you finish the book. It is wonderful, Drew is wonderful, Felicity is wonderful, their adventure together is wonderful. Great book that flows well.

This was a very good brother's best friend romance by Julie Scarlet. Its one of my favorite genres so I was anxious to read it. Drew loves Felicity, his best friend Brad's younger sister. To fight his attraction, he enlists in the marines and leave for boot camp. He returns home five years later and this time he isn't sure he will be able to stay away this time. Felicity is even more beautiful now and independent which only makes him want her even more. Looking forward to more. Hoping Brad gets his own story soon.
This was my first read from this author. It's also the first book in the series. I loved the first person point of view, which is always a deal breaker for me. Drew was so funny. For me it has to be the guy that convinces me whether or not I'll finish the story and Drew was definitely worth my time. If you love the guy having a crush on his best friend sister, come on it doesn't get any better than this, then this one is for you.

I really enjoyed this story. I didn't want this book to end. I love the interactions between Drew and Felicity. Drew has always wanted Felicity but knows that nothing could come from it. She is his best friend's little sister. She is off limits to him. He joins the Marines to leave his town. Years later, he is back. Felicity always had a crush on him. She is back home to fix up her parents' home. Will they get the chance to explore their feelings?

A sweet and spicy quick read about Felicity and Drew. These two had crushes on each other in high school, but circumstances kept them apart - like a dedication by Drew to her older brother, his best friend. They get their happily ever after, but not until after they have both had time to grow and mature. I always enjoy reading sweet stories like this one by author Julie Scarlet.

This is a short, sweet falling in love with his bestfriend’s sister story. They were attracted to each other but cant do something about it because of the Bro code so he left. I cant say that the last 5 years was a waste of time because it enabled them to grow in each person and find that after all those years that they are still in love with the other and stayed true. How romantic is that.

Drew has a major crush on his best friend's sister. Just out of High School he decides to join the Marines to get out of the small town and put some distance between his crush and himself. Coming home after 5 years away just proves you can't run away from true love! A quick read with sweet & sexy main characters.
I liked the characters in the book! The best friend, the sister and the brother! It was a sweet story! I didn’t get why the best friend didn’t say anything about his feelings from the beginning. ( I know he thought the brother would be angry) but other than that I liked how they worked everything out and had their HEA!
The author has pulled into the lives of Drew and Felicity and never lets go. He is the best friend of her brother and therefore she is off limits. However, they decide to act on their attraction and not worry about how her brother will feel about their relationship.

Drew enlisted in the military to get out of town and away from the only woman he has ever loved and can never have his best friends sister Felicity. 5 years later Drew is back in town and Felicity can’t wait to see him she’s had a crush on Drew since he started to hang around with her brother. Fantastic short story I loved it and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
