Erg mooi boek. #BringBackTheMoon
I mean, it feels disingenuous to log this one – it’s a coffee table book at best; principally photos, conceptual artwork and other archival material of Space Mountain at Disneyland Paris. I adore Space Mountain, and the theming and design of it appeals very much to the inner nerd I fully embrace. There’s not a great deal of detail on the construction of the attraction itself – I’d have loved to have had some insight and history from the rollercoaster’s manufacturer, Vekoma, for example – but it’s joyful seeing the illustrations, behind-the-scenes photos and secrets of my very favourite coaster and reliving some fun memories.
This book is a delightful read for fans of Disney and its iconic rides. While it may not delve as deeply into the subject as some might hope, it still offers a wealth of interesting facts that will intrigue readers. The standout feature of this book is its visuals – they are truly gorgeous, capturing the magic and essence of Disney. For those who appreciate Disney's world, this book is a worthwhile addition to their collection, offering a pleasant blend of information and visual appeal.
A very nice book for fans of the attraction. It’s probably the rollercoaster that I just respect for it’s history and what it managed to accomplish. The book while not extremely in depth, is a nice summary of its history and includes some fabulous artwork which I could stare at for hours.
A few translation errors and spelling mistakes here and there but overall a must have for fans.
As a bit of a theme park nerd specifically for Disney Parks this was a very interesting read, it’s nice to get a better understanding of where the inspiration comes from for not only Disneyland Paris’s but all the iterations of Space Mountain.
