La Voleuse

Rate this book

Promising premise, interested to see where it goes.
Art style is absolutely gorgeous and the design is easy to read.
One note is that I find it immensely strange that this comic, which has beautiful philosophical dialogue, quotes that one meme song about "That's not my name" at least four separate times in an entirely serious tone. Why would you do that

Such a pity I didn't find this volume in English or Italian, so with my old knowledge of French it took me more time than expected to finish it, but I've to say that the artworks were worth the pain. Loved the use of the watercolor/ink to emphasize the atmosphere of the night, the city and the battles. It helps to give the drawings a much intense value. The sketches at the end of the volume are also really good, but I would have liked to see more. However, on the other hand, the story may seem something already seen or read, but I'll wait till the next volume to see if my suspicious are right or wrong.
