I have been called arrogant. Ruthless. Heartless. I don’t consider those characteristics to be insults. If I am arrogant, ruthless, and heartless, then people cower down. I make my own rules and call all the shots. I suppose that’s why people opt to call me by my last name.

It’s very fitting for me. I wreak havoc on anyone who gets in my way. Right now, that person is a beautiful redhead who refuses to play by my rules. Doesn’t she know I’m the only one who’s allowed to break them?

I’ve been writing since my early twenties, but I couldn’t seem to finish a book. I’ve started self-publishing with the encouragement from my mom. Without her encouragement, I don’t think I would’ve done it. She always supported me and writing is something I’ve always enjoyed doing. As long as I enjoy it, I’ll continue to do it. I’ve learned already that I can’t please everyone. Not all reviews will be good, not all reviews will be bad. I’m the one that has to be happy with my work.
I get my inspiration from life experiences, movies, television, other authors, and music. Music is definitely a big influence on my writing. I can hear a song and it can inspire an entire book for me. I listen to it while I’m driving or before I start writing and it keeps me inspired. I like to put music in my books, even if it’s just one song the characters listen to or hear at some point. Sometimes music has gotten me through the really tough times in my life and that’s why it inspires me.
I like to write fast-paced, steamy romance reads. I like for my males to be alpha-males and my heroines to be strong, but both need to have one weakness- each other. I am an avid reader. I absolutely love romance books!

DNF @ ch 19 -> not safe
The fact this this H was engaged to another woman and wanted to make the h his side piece until the 5 years on the contract for the marriage were over should've been where I stopped. But I read on since the OW was sleeping around as well and there wasn't any love between H/OW and I was foolishly hoping he would end things quickly and if there had been nothing intimate with him and OW I could've looked past the engagement issue.
I couldn't move past this scene where he allows her to stroke him and also admits that they've fucked.
I know I'm supposed to swoon for his feelings for heroine here but I can't get past the almost jerk-off and admitting that they've fucked. Ugh.

He's over here making wedding arrangements with OW and adding final touches to the prenup and asking the heroine to "fight for him" I hate him so much. I also hate the heroine for having zero self-respect.

My first time reading a book from this author. It was good, not great tho but good. Interesting... i hope in the future it would get better lol.
NO CHEATING
IT HAS SEPARATION but those separation times are when they weren’t exclusive. BUT THE HERO Even tho both of them aren’t exclusive, he never go to anyone else. Even when the OW touch him, he push her away and never touch anyone else ever. He only wants the heroine. The heroine went on a date tho but never kiss her date or hold his hand.

The hero is a millionaire and the heroine is a hard working smart independent that has a catering company with her sister.

THE HERO meet the heroine knowing he is engaged even tho they engagement is not real and its for business, HE IS NOT TRUE WITH THE HEROINE ABOUT IT. He never say it even after few days of meeting the heroine and seeing the heroine. THE HEROINE FIND OUT FROM her sister and not from the hero. So disappointed.
The hero at first he is so arrogant but I’m glad in the middle he really put that down and realize those weakness of his is gotta go.
THE HERO is not determined to really fight the heroine at first. He even became very selfish. HE SAID TO THE HEROINE that he wants to get out from the fake wedding that his dad arranged for him but he needs time and he is working on it, HE WANS THE HEROINE TO WAIT AND FIGHT FOR HIM TOO. Fight for them. WHEN ITS NOT HER BATTLE TO BEGIN WITH! HOW SHE HAVE TO FIGHT WHEN THE HERO IS THE ONE ENGAGED AND NOT HER?!
THE HERO did fight for the heroine and trying hard to find a way to cancel the fake wedding. But he is not 100% about it at first, he is not 100% fighting it at first. Only in the middle of the story when he is starting to realize that the heroine is his everything and she makes him happy and feel loved for the first time, then he fight for her then for 100%.
But the ups and down that i read about the hero wants to fight for the heroine and next he doesn’t?
Really sucks lol.

Frankie hasn't had the best luck with men and love. But when she meets a gorgeous man and spends a hot night with him, things seemed like they were looking up. Unfortunately, she still has bad luck because he turned out to be a cold bastard. Sigh...then a re-meeting may give them a second chance. If Havoc (Julian) can prove he will make Frankie his first priority over acquiring yet another hotel chain, over more money. If not, Frankie will be lost to him. She's not another transaction, he cannot just exert his famous control over her and expect her to fall in line with his wishes. Now the question is, will he give up everything for her? Or is the draw of broadening his empire too powerful for him to resist?
Julian Havoc has never had anyone affect him the way Frankie has. She's on his mind constantly, and he's finding himself going out of his way to seek her out. What is going on with him?! All he knows is he has to have her. Yes, he treated her terribly, conveniently left out a hugely important detail about himself when they spent the night together, but it's nothing, just a "business transaction" as he told her. Uh huh. If only he could have his cake and eat it too, or so the saying goes. If only Frankie would just go along with it while he gets what he wants, even if it's not what's best for Frankie. If only he could have the hotel chain he wants AND have Frankie at the same time. If only...
Havoc indeed is heartless, throughout most of his and Frankie's story, and I wanted to smack him a good one (or two or three) for it, but in the end he had redeemed himself and I could see what Frankie saw in him. Before that though, ugh. Frankie was tough, though, and unwilling to settle for less than what she deserved - to be someone's first priority, to be his all. She was definitely my favorite part of Heartless Havoc. Her niece and nephew and sister and brother-in-law were an excellent secondary cast, and the chemistry between her and Havoc was hot. Altogether, a great addition to the Cocky Hero Club.

"I am a huge fan of the Cocky Hero Club stories and Heartless Havoc is a good addition to the series. I love reading alpha men falling for their soulmate. Julian and Frankie fell in lust in an instant, and in love in a short time. Frankie's spunk was refreshing , Julian's' bossiness was hot. The biggest obstacle was getting Julian to put Frankie first and to say ""screw-it"" to everything else. You can feel their heartbreak bleed of the page and can't help to cheer them towards their HEA. This was a fast moving story and a fun quick read.

While I've heard of J. L. Leslie, I've never read any of her books so this was a treat for me. It took me a bit to warm up to Havoc but once I did, I enjoyed his and Frankie's story. It was different than I expected so it kept me turning the pages. I think this is one story that will get some rereads from me. Go check it out and see for yourself!!

Having other depending on you and your every move puts pressure on you and your decisions. Havoc and Frankie is no different. Havoc being a sex God walking around with having to make certain moves in order to acquire a big business deal as well as to please his father, just happens to run into bumps in the road. Especially after meeting business owner, cook and caterer, Frankie. Being someone who has had a past that left her weary to trust or enter relationships, how can you not fall for Havoc.
I was hooked by the first chapter. This story had me hanging onto every single word and enjoying it. Cursing at it. Then just falling in love with it. JL you did your damn thing, Sis! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I loved Havoc and Frankie. I didn't want to like Havoc at first but I did. I don't think he was so much as heartless as he was a product of his upbringing.

5 Havoc Stars!!! He may be heartless, but Havoc definitely stole my heart!
Frankie is a caterer and cooking is her passion. She's a strong lady but has a huge heart. Havoc on the other hand, is an alpha, and he's well, heartless. Havoc and Frankie meet at an engagement party that she's catering and the minute they lay eyes on each other all bets are off! They have one night of passion and that's where it really takes off. These two couldn't be more opposite of each other and on paper shouldn't work out, but somehow they do... but that doesn't stop issues from bubbling to the surface!
I've read a few books by J.L. Leslie, but this one has got to be one of my favorites. Your heart will break for Havoc when you aren't wanting to slap him up the side of his head. And Frankie, she's just a doll and her cooking will make you want to run into your kitchen and whip up some of her delicious goodies!!! This book is full of passion, emotion, and heart and I couldn't get enough!

I despise cheating, but I couldn't completely hate Havoc. There was something about him that, even when he was being an absolute idiot, I kept hoping he'd get some form of redemption. I loved Frankie. Her character was relatable - the woman who falls in love with a reprobate, yet keeps hoping he'll turn into an angel one day. I loved that she was strong - she refused to settle for being less than his everything. I couldn't fault their chemistry - it was plenty hot! I loved Frankie's sister and family. They were a hilarious bunch, and really helped to make Heartless Havoc a fun read.
I recommend this read as a great addition to the Cocky Hero Club world. It's definitely 1-click material!

Frankie is the stunning, smart, strong woman who owns her own catering business, but is unlucky with the men in her life until a chance meeting with a stranger will turn her world turned upside down. This story had it all; humor, sex ,secrets and love at first sight. This is the first book I have read by the author and it is a wonderful addition to the C Hero series. Frankie is an independent, smart woman who has not had the best of luck when it comes to choosing the men she gets involved with as her last boyfriend cheated on her. Julian is a sexy, alpha male who is being forced into a marriage of convenience. When Frankie meets Julian, the fireworks are going off as their chemistry is intense and immediate. However, “he lives in a world where people marry for status, wealth, and power. I live in a world where marriage is a symbol of love, honor, and integrity.” Can these two from opposite worlds get their happily ever after? This is one storyline that is filled with drama, humor, and relatable characters that feel more like friends. Making appearances are Graham and Soraya, which always leads to additional fun when these two are around. Adding to the mix are Frankie’s nieces and nephews who, as children, have some witty and interesting things to say…out of the mouths of babes…Overall, an enjoyable story that I recommend reading.

Frankie is a woman who hasn't had the best luck with men, but luckily, she's definitely a strong female who isn't about to let any man give her less than she deserves. The moment she comes face to face with Havoc, the chemistry is palpable, and the sparks are flying so you know what happens, they spend a super hot night together. Of course her bad luck is still going strong because he's so many colorful metaphors afterwards that I saw red. Literally saw red because he was a leveled up jerk that I simply couldn't give the story a perfect rating despite the fact that I was all in from the jump. I've never been so crazy about a heroine who definitely knows her worth, and she's not going to settle for less when Havoc couldn't man up. See, he's all about the dollar, and no one gets in front of that so the things he does really had my potty mouth out of control. I'm going to stop here because I don't want to come off of any more description, so in order to see if he was redeemable, well, you know what to do! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This has to be my all-time favorite 'Cocky Hero Club' story. Heartless Havoc had everything that I could ever want in a captivating, can't put down until the end read! Frankie and Havoc's story is solid gold! It tossed me through so many hoops that I didn't know what was up and what was down.
J.L. Leslie created a great character in Havoc because most of the time I loved him while at the same time hating him for what he was putting Frankie through. And my heart broke for Frankie because when you love someone and you feel they are your soul mate you, sometimes break yourself by becoming a different person.
Driven by family, Havoc's father has a plan for him, one he doesn't think he can break but when he meets Frankie, he starts to question where his loyalties really lay and maybe what seems like the only solution isn't. They say that love can conquer all and you so hope so in this Highly recommended read!

Frankie I love her she just a bubble of fun. Havoc is miserable when we meet him but this clumsy beauty steps into his world. I love how she shows him that if he wants her he need to stand up to this ridiculous union his Dad made. And their hot chemistry is also a good motive and he truely wants her. She truely wants him. They are just made for each other. I love Frankie sister Claire & her 3 kids, Rory is a big fan of Havoc and she sticks up for him against her mam, dad and auntie Frankie when he does something wrong... Well he doesn't do something wrong its other people. These other betray Havoc but he has a new family now so he better off ❤

I loved this so much. Havoc is the type of character you love even though you want so much to hate. I loved seeing the changes and growth in his character throughout this book. Frankie is such a strong character despite wanting to give in, she stands up for what she believes in and I appreciate that in a female lead. This is one of my favorite Cocky Hero books so far.

I honestly didn't know how I felt when I was reading this book. I'm not one to be okay with the storyline, however, I did end up loving this book. Julian has always done what his father wants, he's heartless, emotionless, and ruthless in business. He doesn't do love or any of that crap and his life is planned out for the next five years. However, he never expected Frankie. Frankie totally loves her and her sister. She is a spitfire and will make you fall hard. She's loving, a business owner, and has a heart of gold. When these two get together it is instant chemistry, but for Frankie, she won't be second best. This story is about their life and if you can walk away from everything you ever knew to be with someone who has your heart. And will your family let you?

This is another fantastic addition to this amazing series and is Havoc and Frankie’s story. When it comes to business bad boy Havoc is known to be arrogant and ruthless, and feisty Frankie is a chef and caterer. These two are complete opposites yet together they are perfect, and the chemistry between them is explosive. These main characters are engaging and relatable, with great secondary characters. This is a well written tale which is filed with angst, drama, and is a humorous, entertaining, and steamy love story. I was captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I'll admit I was a bit unsure of how I would like this book given the fact that the hero is engaged. But once you learn the full reasons behind what he's doing and see how his father treats him, it didn't bother me as much. I truly enjoyed the chemistry between Havoc and Frankie. He knew there was something incredibly special and unique about her from the moment their eyes met.
I was very proud of Frankie for stepping away from him when she found out the truth. She tried her best to stay away from him but he wanted her far too much to let that happen. He was doing everything he could think of to find ways to see her.
I was so happy when some other truths were revealed and Havoc and Frankie handled everything. This was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it.

Julian Havoc has major sex appeal. He causes havoc wherever he goes. Frankie is a firecracker who loves to cook. She also gets under Julian's skin in a way no one ever has. His chemistry with Frankie is off the charts hot with an immediate attraction. They are from different worlds but click together. Their story is hot, sweet and a little drama to make a great romance book. I am loving these cocky heroes.

I am a huge fan of the Cocky Hero Club stories and Heartless Havoc is a good addition to the series. I love reading alpha men falling for their soulmate. Julian and Frankie fell in lust in an instant, and in love in a short time. Frankie's spunk was refreshing , Julian's' bossiness was hot. The biggest obstacle was getting Julian to put Frankie first and to say "screw-it" to everything else. You can feel their heartbreak bleed of the page and can't help to cheer them towards their HEA. This was a fast moving story and a fun quick read.

Ahhh!!! This story is so good!!!! Julian and Frankie are so great together and their interactions are so fun! So many scenes where I found myself screaming yes! Punches thrown, good food, laughs and lots of steam!!! This book is exactly why J.L. Leslie is one of my favorites! I read everything she puts out because the story is always that good!

Once again, I have found a new-to-me author that I need to read more books from! Julian and Frankie were off the charts HOT in this addition to the CW series.
The romance definitely kept me captivated between these two opposite attracts characters, and I definitely look forward to reading more from this author!

What a wonderful and entertaining book. We watch 2 people find love in the most unexpected way and have to fight to make sure that they can keep it. I think that this series is going to be an amazing read and hopefully I'll get a chance to read them all. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book

I loved Heartless Havoc and Frankie and Julian's chemistry was off the freakin' charts hot!! Frankie meets Havoc(Julian) at an engagement party that Frankie is catering. They hook up and the rest is history. Frankie gets under Julian's skin and he does things he wouldn't normally ever do. He thinks he's not made to love and causes "havoc" everywhere he goes, and maybe in business that may be true, but when it comes to the heart I think Frankie is exactly what he needs!! He's got a father who is selfishly wanting him to do something that will benefit no one really but his selfish father, and he will do whatever it takes to get what he wants, even if it's to the determent of his son. Julian finally puts his foot down, and decides he's gonna get what his dad wants so badly without having to go through what he doesn't want to so he can continue seeing Frankie. What happens when Frankie finds out what is going on...will she stick around, or will she kick Julian to the curb? I loved the banter between Frankie and Julian, and between everyone in this book really!! I am soooo recommending this book, y'all want to read this AWEMAZING book!!

Fantastic addition to the established series!! Frankie and Havoc hit it out of the park!! Frankie has bad luck with men but it’s looking up for her when she meets a sexy man and spends a passion-filled night with him. I didn’t like Havoc at first but then he grew on me. They were total opposites but they just worked. Their journey is not a smooth one and filled with miscommunications and misconceptions. Will they find there way back to each other?

What an introduction. Heartless Havoc is my first J.L. Leslie novel, but will most definitely not be my last. Julian and Frankie are a match made of chaos that fit together so very well. The Bad Boy with the chip on his shoulder and wall shielding his heart meets his match in a fiery tornado who knows what she wants and is not afraid to speak her mind. From temptingly, frustrating interactions to unpredictable attraction, Leslie sets the heart ablaze with this firework of a read.
