Like the author's previous book, this is a series of small art lessons accompanied by beautiful illustrations in a great-looking hardcover package. The topics covered here are more specific than Sketch Every Day, touching on topics like using designing mermaids, using clipping masks in Photoshop, and pricing art jobs based on licensing. It's all good information, but the book is essentially a series of semi-random tutorials rather than cohesive, well-rounded instruction.

My son discovered this as he was shelving at his library and borrowed it for himself. I skimmed through it just for fun. I am not at all creative and cannot use one single tip here... but I do have a bit more appreciation for what artists do and I hope that I'll see more/better next time I read a graphic novel. I did like lots of the appealing pictures. I do have a feeling it's an excellent resource for artists who have been sketching for a while.
