Simple, yet beautiful and close to the heart

I am a cyclist and I read this book leisurely at night before going to sleep. It starts out with a bang and immediately pulls you in. Overall, I enjoyed the book. I felt it was well written and it made me feel like I was on the journey with the author. The book gives you insight and tips into long cycling trips that might prove helpful one day. It inspired me to want to book a bike tour. My only criticism would be that at times I wished the author had focused more on the scenery and culture and a little less on his rocky relationship with his biking companion. But all told it was a great read!

I love adventure stories and this was another great one. To follow Tim’s journey of discovery of the world by bike was inspiring but written in a really accessible and fun way. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this whilst on holiday and I donated it to the hosts of our safari camp in Tanzania for them to read and then put in their camp library.
