Navigating six men as well as an intergalactic war were never on Rystar Umara’s list of things she thought she would do. First there’s Shea Hendi, her shaggy-haired, bright eyed bounty partner who is flung into an intergalactic war with her. Then there’s Na’gya, the half-angel, half-human heartthrob, thrust into a heated rebellion against the humans. Then there’s the ship full of four gorgeous alien men that look like humans, save for their teeth and a thirst for blood, who enlist her help in a tangled web of a war. With her trusty LASSO, a spaceship capable of traveling to an entirely different solar system in a single jump, Rystar is forced into a position where she can save her bounty, or save the Ya’ados, the offspring of the angels and humans who have been forced into the shadows. Book one of a nine part series to be completed in 2021. #whychoose #slowburn
Archer has introduced us to Mz. Rystar Umara and her sidekick Shea Hendi. There’s definitely a healthy sexual tension between the two and I’m so excited to see that play out in the future. Plus since this is a reverse harem, I’m sure Na’gya will be a part of that harem with how much screen time he got.
The ending was intriguing and I’m ready to dive back in for the next installment!
I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book and I love it! This is the start of a slow burn reverse harem that will span 9 books total. Set in space, on the verge of a race war...things are about to get tense. In more ways than one! I can't wait to see where the story goes for Rystar and the rest of the *crew*. This was a great intro to the characters and story setting and just enough intrigue to whet your appetite for more! I can't wait until next month and the next book in the series!
I was lucky to be able to read an ARC of this book. Science fiction isn't something I typically read and often I'm not up-to-date on the terminology. However, I was able to read this story from beginning to end and never put it down! The author set a great pace, has interesting places, and the characters are well developed. This book really sets the scene for the next installment and I'm looking forward to it! I can't wait to see where Rystar goes next and if she develops any romantic interest as was eluded or if she will continue to fly solo.
