I chose to read this because I liked the author's other work "An Accident In Broad Daylight." However this was disappointing. I wasn't much of a fan of the pacing of this story. The transition from one event to the other wasn't that smooth. The relationship between mc and ml was rushed. The trauma of mc was used just to bring the cp together. Because after they got together, the therapy was literally thrown out of the window. Plus, In my knowledge psychiatrist are legally bound to keep their sessions confidential. They can't disclose any data without the consent of the patients/clients. But this psychiatrist told everything to a stranger whom she only knew through the story of mc. Okay, this is only me, but I found it irritating when ml chuckled and laughed after every two sentences. He seemed a little pushy at the beginning of their relationship too. And the fact that he took mc to the place where the mc had the strongest feeling of abandonment by him. He knew mc was seeking help but he thought it couldn't be that bad? In the end, the mc threw up there because of the strong emotions. ML shouldn't have rushed the things and take it slow. Because, healing needs time. You can't just heal in one day.
