There’s only one person standing in the way of love: her husband. As Efe files for divorce, will the breakup give her joy or lead to her losing more than she expected?

It’s been almost two years since the night that changed everything for Efe. For as long as she could remember, her childhood crush on Daniel had always made her do silly things. But there was only one thing she regretted; having a baby for him when he clearly didn’t love her.

With constant push and pressures from both their families, they end up in a marriage only one of them wants. She goes away for the mandatory one year National service and meets Amaze who is everything Daniel isn’t to her, and he sweeps her off her feet showing her sweet romance. Armed with the pain of Daniel’s adulterous ways, she makes the firm decision to move on and files for a divorce.

While Efe is away, Daniel has a change of heart from the most unlikely means and decides to get his act together and be the husband he hasn’t been. He gets his acts straight and wants to get his wife back but he may be late as she’s already met with Amanze’s family.

Will Efe be willing to take Daniel back, or will her new love with Amanze be strong enough to make her walk away from him? Can she hope for a new start with her daughter and Amanze or is everything just wishful thinking?

Okay, so I really enjoyed reading this book
This book is best as an sequel .. you'll get to know the depth of hurt Efe faced .

The way Daniel found his way back to God after so many mistakes it's just . .so much you know just eye opening
Reminds me of ourselves as a metaphor

Honestly I liked Amanze and I was heartfelt for him in the last part but was so happy when Efe faced him with truth and told him about God
I do wish Daniel wooed Efe more
😂 Classic unforgiving human heart though

Nichelle and Efe are my favorite characters of all

The faith and forgiveness weaved throughout the book was amazing and I guess I needed it.. I don't think I would have it me to forgive Daniel as Efe did .. it's just wonderful how God works through us and in us

The writing was definitely definitely good

We get a peak into next book Zianab's story, loosing her only family - her mom, suddenly meeting a Dad she never knew - a pastor .. she personally struggles so many feelings inside herself .. she always covers them up
It's exciting how she blames God and wants to do nothing with HIM but God chooses to love her and bring her to Himself

I definitely recommend reading this series

The second book in the Redemption series lives up the hype and exceeds expectations! Another great read with brilliant writing. This time, we focus on the aftermath of Daniel and Ede's marriage going off the rails after committing adultery. As the couple navigates their future and what will become of them, new temptations, lessons, and more come about.

Adultery is a difficult topic to discuss, especially in books. However, just like previous books, Tope Omotosho gets straight to the point and doesn't hold anything back in discussing this and other taboo topics. We also get a deeper exploration of marriage and the challenges, and gifts, that are found in them. We also see the return of characters from previous books like John, Funlola, Adesawa, Zainab and more. We also meet Nichelle and get a deeper look into Pamela. Amanze's scenes were also important and brought the plot's main conflict to life and made it believable.

Overall, another great book! Can't wait to read book three!

I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I left off the last book wondering what would happen with Efe and Daniel. I was not disappointed as this book unfolded! They each have a beautiful story of the prodigal son. I loved watching the change in Daniel, especially!

I, an American, am really liking these books set in Nigeria, getting to learn so much about a different culture! And Tope’s books are my favorite genre: Christian Fiction. Love!

I am still wondering about some other characters, so it's a good thing there's another book in the series!

Separated blew my mind. The Tope Omotosho has done a great job again. The writing technique was 'on point' as usual.
I had a good time reading and getting to know what became of Efe and Daniel's relationship. I loved how God used their mistakes and turned it into lessons of love in each of their lives.
I couldn't help but feel sad at how children of God drift away and become seperate from Him. His love brings us back when we drift though.
I am biting my nails to know how Zainab's story goes and whether or not she makes it to Calvary, in Book 3 'Redemption'. Also can't wait to see Adesewa find God's will for her.
