Where is the Jesus I thought I was following? If your faith feels more like a dying ember than a radiant light, perhaps you haven’t met the real Jesus. At her core, Jessi felt dry and lifeless. Weary of anemic religion, she had almost given up on Christianity, until one day, she came face to face with the real Jesus whose eyes burn like fire! His gaze lit a spark within her, fanning the tinder of her soul into a glowing blaze. Today, Jessi burns with a vision to see a holy fire sweep across the nation. She and her husband, Parker, lead the Saturate OC revival movement in California, where they introduce thousands of people to the real Jesus, and see lives radically changed! You are just a few pages away from a similar encounter. In Wildfires , Jessi Green invites you to let Jesus breathe upon the embers of your soul, until your whole life burns for Him! Discover how to… This is the moment where you break free from feeble religion and a decaying culture. Lay your life upon the altar, and let Jesus kindle a wildfire in you!
I was very impressed with this book and what Jessi has been called to do. Stumpled upon her after my cousin shared with me that there had just been a Revival on the Farmland behind her house in NC a few weeks before our visit. We had some legitimate questions regarding her and Parker's organization, membership costs and intentions so I delved into some You Tube Videos and became even more curious as I have never heard of them before. This prompted me to listen to her book on audio. They have an incredible mission and are obeying the Lord. I found her to be very Genuine and Transparent. I am now going to listen to their podcast and her interviews on ElijahFire.
This book. Up until the last couple of chapters I would have said it’s “good”. Jessi has an engaging style. She is passionate and that is contagious. But those last few pages.. heavy conviction, active challenge, opportunity to evaluate where I really stand, what I really value, and what I’m willing to sacrifice for what I say matters. Time to do the real work of this book.
We all have doubts and questions, it is very natural part of faith and is not detrimental. Doubts and questions stir up a fire within you in order to get you to do some research, more reading, and more studying in order to gain a better understanding! Don't fear such things, embrace them and you will be much better off for it.
This book isn’t about revival it is about Jesus. This book isn’t a guide to set up tent meetings but it’s a guide to have an encounter with God. Although the revivalist/author of this book discusses how revival is still possible in the midst of a pandemic.
Wow! I am not even sure how to put it into words… it’s a stretching, tear jerking, testimonial as well as an appeal for the reader to go “all in”— and… well… if you happy in your ho-hum daily life, don’t pick this book up!
Read this book if you need to be ignited or reignited by the Holy Spirit. Jessi shared her experiences in her journey with Jesus. Revival begins with one person getting ahold of the vision.
I didn't even know why I picked up this book last year. I'm not even into revivals. After reading the first few pages of this book and wondering where it was going, I decided to go Google about the author and found that she's practically an unknown in the Christian world. And then something happened. As I read about her experience in trying to bring a revival to her state, I felt my Spirit stirring. Then I had a very personal encounter with Jesus like He was right in front of me! I continued to have many of these personal encounters until I finished the book. Jessi Green might be an unknown to the rest of the Christian world, but there is no lack of anointing on this book. Jessi knows how to keep things real as she shares openly about her struggles and doubts, which all of us can relate to.
I enjoyed this book and learned a lot. I do feel like it was kind of rushed, which makes sense as the author said she wanted to put it out as soon as possible. So much truth spoken, and words I needed to hear and remember.
