Worth reading just for the shock and romance:
Quite the unexpected outcome from what you might think but you'll have to read it to find out.
A long adventure for two wonderful characters who meet in an unusual way.
Shona a very sheltered lass wants to help Logan prove his innocence and she wants to discover life in general.
Their road together is filled with turmoil, romance, intimacy, betrayal of huge proportions, reunions and excitement.
Quite and interesting story but I did feel it was a bit long. The mystery was well done and the villain well hidden and evil.
The romance was sensuously sizzling and had my attention.
A stand alone story with a very heartfelt epilogue that put a smile on my face.
A very Happy Ever After for sure.

I'm usually not a romance reader but I loved the premise of this book so I thought I would give it a try. I was nicely surprised in how much I truly enjoyed the story that Ms. Kendrick has spun. First of all, the setting and time period are so richly described that it was like I was right there with the characters, experiencing everything as they did. If I am to read this genre then it would be a historical setting and this one is perfect. Scotland has never looked better than when Ms. Kendrick throws two well written characters into the mix, on the run and trying to fight their attraction for each either. The physically romantic bits are well done, explicit without being crass. This is the perfect guilty pleasure novel, one that can take you away from the present for a while and put a little bit of juicy spark into your life.

Gripping and Suspenseful! In the Shadow of the Highland Lass takes you to the heights of sizzling passion swirling down into a vortex of danger, deception, murder and mayham!. The plot brims with tension-building twists and turns, characters are well thought out and they come off the pages and pull you into their story, great dialogue with a jaw dropping plot. The setting descriptions and action sequences are wonderfully vivid which brings this read together perfectly. Kenna Kendrick has written a action-packed story from beginning to end with threads of intrigue, danger, violence. as a web of sadistic deception is weaved anf while the suspense builds as tensions escalate and secrets abound that hook you right from the start and keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what will happens next.
The Extended Epilogue leaves you waiting hopefully for Orla and Killian's story!

From their first meeting, Shana and Logan are attracted to each other, even though Shana has been sequestered in her hidden village for all her life, and knows nothing of men or the world. She longs to escape from the confines of her young life and have an adventure, but what she gets is far more than she ever dreamed. Logan is falsely accused of murder and they seek refuge with his cousin, Caitria. This tale then takes a dark turn, for all is not as it seems. Murder, intrigue, innocence lost - all this and more in this story. I gave it 4 stars.

Shana has been kept away from the outside world all of her life. She craves adventure. She comes across a man needing her help in the woods. What she really wants to know is what's outside those woods.
Logan on the run for his life. He meets this young lass that helps him out. But he needs to move on, needs to get some where safe.
Shana brings provisions for his journey, but what he doesn't know is she's coming too.
This book will keep your attention all the way to the end.

This story was so full of suspense and intrigue. Some of the twists and turns were quite unexpected. The main characters were down to earth and filled with the wonder of young love. Logan was a hero but also had human doubts and fears. Shana was such an innocent but also wanted to experience the adventures of the world. Together they will discover a shocking secret.

Another book I was unable to put down. A fighting lass who feels trapped and a fighting man trying to escape his past. The twists and turns throughout this story are awesome! A must read!

A remarkable historic romantic novel!
These two were certainly meant for each other. The adventure they shared sealed their love for each other. Evil is as evil does, they were able to overcome that evil. Thus started their forever love, thank you, Jack.

Adventure to love
What a story! This is thrilling from the beginning to the end of the book. Shana wants adventure in her life and boy does she get it. Logan is trying to prove his innocence over a killing. There is an unexpected twist in this story. A must read.
