Stolen by a Billionaire started off a little slow for me. I had to listen to half of the book before I could finally get into it. Kamani played his role as the villain exceptionally. That man was TRASH. There are not enough adjectives in the dictionary to describe how horrible he was. What really annoys me is, Kamani didn’t even get his. We have to wait until book two for his dirt to finally be exposed. One thing Ananias Duke doesn’t play about is his money. Playing with his money is like playing with your life. Kamani’s dumb azz had to find that out the hard way trying to be slick. Urvi was already looking at her husband sideways after she had to bail him out of a gambling debt but, her blinders finally come off during her captivity and she starts to see Kamani for who he really is. There were a lot of moving parts to this story but, it definitely keeps you entertained. Benjamin Charles and Leon Nixon did a great job narrating but, I wanted to fight Morae Brehon for that ridiculous accent. The accent ruined a good portion of the book for me. It was exaggerated, over the top, and unnecessary. Who told her she needed to speak with a southern accent just because the book is set in Atlanta?!!! As someone who lives in the South, I was highly offended at her caricature attempt at a southern accent. Insert strong side eye here. 😒😒😒 In the end, I enjoyed Stolen by a Billionaire. It had a decent mix of drama, suspense, and sex. I’m so looking forward to Duke putting his hands on Kamani. Let me hop on over to book two.
This was entertaining as hell! Kamani needs to be dealt with in book 2. I don’t think I’ve ever disliked a character more. He is the most selfish person ever and I wasn’t even mad at Val for doing what she did with Duke. I actually thought Duke and Val were kinda cute together, sometimes. 😂Everything does happen fast, but it’s really the plot of the story that kept me interested, not really the characters or the romance. Maybe I’ll feel different when I pick up book two. However, I think if you’re interested in the kidnapping trope you will like this. It does end on a cliffhanger though, but it’ll make you want to pick up book two asap!
I so loved this book! My heart was literally racing by the time that I got to the end! Very good job on this one!!
Kamani is a Governor with more secrets than I could count. He feels that he is above everyone but he is not prepared for what happens when he tries to cross Duke. It’s like Kamani didn’t take anything serious. It was all about greed and money. Like, your wife is kidnapped and you’re not painting the city red?!? Smh!!
Urvi was too good of a woman for Kamani and she handled being kidnapped better than I thought she would. The sexual tension between Urvi and Duke was so intense; they wanted each other in the worst way. Duke is definitely that man!! Whew! He is the ultimate alpha male and he does not play! But, I felt like Duke spared Kamani two times too many. Kamani didn’t respect Duke, at all.
I am at a lost for words for how this one ended and I am anxious for part two!!
OMG, I absolutely love this book. I started reading it while I was reading another novel and this one completely grab my attention and did not let go. Love all the characters except Kamani such a money hungry person. Ananias really should kidnap me. But ready to start the book 2.
Whew there were some turning tables in this one. Kamani was hot trash and he knew it. He had the nerve to be the governor and was constantly doing the most disrespectful ish. Putting himself and his wife Urvi in harms way. He found himself indebted to Duke and even when he had chances to make things right, he chose not to. Duke decided to take the situation into his hands and captured Urvi to give Kamani a wake up call. The griminess really kept showing in Kamani as he made up lie after lie. It didn't seem like he truly valued her at all and I was sick of him. He was greedy and all he cared about was finding ways to get way more money than he needed, rather than trying to get his wife back. In the meantime, time is passing and Urvi is somehow getting closer to Duke. He treats her like a queen even as his captor. He was attracted to her, prior to actually getting to know her and once he experienced how feisty and headstrong she was it was a wrap. He tries not to take their relationship to the next level, but it feels inevitable. She has him breaking his own rules and he ultimately doesn't want to let her go, but feels he can't give her what he deserves. I'm eager to see how this pans out.
It was going good until the ending cause I’m confused where all this came from like wtf was that cliffhanger. I will say I like that Urvi and Duke started liking each other towards the end.
This book was full of drama, suspense, and sex. Perfect blend to keep the reader engaged. All I can say is that I am not a fan of the governor and the Duke has me looking at him with a side eye. We will find out more next read, hopefully it won't be a long wait.
Just when she thought having a bad and broke husband as governor couldn’t get any worse for Urbi, that was until she was stolen by Duke the billionaire. Although her stay was by force, she was content and formed a bond with her kidnapper that second guessed her leaving. Secrets were revealed and a drop off goes wrong lead these characters in an intense standoff with the two new lovers choosing love or death. Some parts were repetitive in each character chapters that was brought up in previous ones and I was like okkk you said that already but besides that I enjoyed and waiting on part two.
4.5 stars — Whew! This was a pretty good read and definitely one that had me glued to the pages. By the time I got to that ending, I was immediately reaching for Book 2 because that cliffhanger was absolutely disrespectful 😭😂.
This story was a crazy ride from start to finish and had more drama than I anticipated. What kept me invested most was Urvi’s journey and watching her navigate the mess that was unfolding around her. I really felt for her throughout the story because she deserved so much better than some of the cards she was dealt.
Now let’s talk about Kamani… O.M.G. 🤦🏽♀️😭. This man had me HOT. He was selfish, frustrating, and seemed determined to put his own wants above everyone else’s feelings. There were so many moments where I wanted to reach through the pages and shake some sense into him. Even when I understood his motivations, I still found myself annoyed with the choices he made and the consequences they created.
I don’t condone cheating by any means, but I can’t even lie—I was happy to see Urvi get her groove back with Duke. After everything she endured, it was nice to see her experience a connection that made her feel desired, appreciated, and seen. The chemistry between them definitely added another layer of tension and drama to the story.
One thing I enjoyed was how emotionally invested I became. I was frustrated, angry, hopeful, and fully locked in trying to see how everything would play out. The characters weren’t perfect by any means, but they kept me engaged because their decisions had real consequences that continued to ripple throughout the story.
The pacing was strong, and the drama never really let up. Every time I thought things might settle down, another bombshell would drop. A lot of readers mention how addictive and soap-opera-esque the story feels, and honestly that’s part of what made it so entertaining.
The only reason this wasn’t a full five stars for me is that there were a few moments where I wanted a little more character development and deeper exploration of certain relationships. Even so, the story was compelling enough that I immediately needed to know what happened next.
Overall, Stolen by a Billionaire was dramatic, messy, frustrating, entertaining, and highly addictive. If a book can make me rush straight into the sequel, that’s usually a sign it did something right!
Unfortunately...... this was super boring to me until the last 20% or so. This could've easily been 2 stars but the ending kind of made up for it.
The premise I really like but the book just didn't do it for me. I love Duke!!!!! I know I'm not supposed to, but besides one instance and the ending, I really enjoyed his character. lol I like all the characters, except Kamani, Duke's brother/grandfather, and Urvi's mom.
Kamani was just greedy and selfish!!! I don't understand any of his decisions at all.
I wasn't gonna ready book two, but because of the cliffhanger, I will be reading.
This was my first audiobook (that I finished), and I somewhat enjoyed it. lol
This book had a little bit of everything from romance, drama and suspense. Typically I would not like Urvi's character but she had some weak moments but she is definitely strong. That damn Kamani is s hot mess and I hope he gets what he deserves. Duke Duke!! I would call him toxic but he just a man that don't play no games at all. Duke is definitely a book bae. Ready for book 2.
Once that ball got rolling it was on! This was a page turner for sure… the MMC is one of the biggest fish in the pond and the FMC is a force of a woman with a very stupid husband. And here these two are crossing line together. Spice on 1000. Can’t wait to see where this story goes…
I really didn’t know what to expect with this story but Whewww did it take me for a ride but in a good way. Like you think you know someone but here they are being allll types of selfish, evil, and conniving behind and in front of your face, Kamari should be happy that Val wasn’t a wicked woman bc other women would have burned him & rightfully so.
I so enjoyed this book and that cliffhanger definitely had me rushing to KU to download book 2 !!
POW???! Listen here Miss J. If I wasn't so late to this and I had to actually wait for the next book I would RIOT. Luckily they're all already out and I can simply move on to the next one because Mr.Duke has me in a choke hold and I am not okay!
This book is full of so many thrills and action and I love it! The writer has kept me captive from the first chapter. Can't wait to read the next part of this story.
I’m so mad I waited to read this story. It’s so good and definitely broke me out of my book slump. This was a really unique storyline and Duke was HOT!!! I’m not sure how Urvis resisted him so long. I need the Governor to be exposed ASAP, he’s trash!
The beginning was a slow start for me but once it picked it the book was very interesting and I couldn’t put it down! This book has it all lies, scandals, secrets and hidden skeletons in the closet. Can’t wait to start reading book 2.
OMGGGG. Stolen By A Billionaire is what a dark kidnapped to lovers story is supposed to be! There is so much drama and the book keeps you engaged. With POVs from the FMC, MMC, and the FMC's husband, you get a real page turner that is difficult to put down.
The characters, though not entirely diverse, are dynamic and well-written with enough background to give readers insight into the minds/personalities of the characters. The MMC, Ananias Duke, is everything you want in a billionaire romance. I also loooovvveee the grumpy-sunshine trope and he's just the right amount of grumpy for me.
The FMC, Urvi Valentine Samuels/Warren, is a smart, loyal spitfire who readers will be able to identify with and want to root for. Though challenging to read at some points, the villain of the entire story, who just so happens to be the FMC's husband, Kamani Warren, has his POV shared...it's enough to make you want to jump through the book, ok?
I highly recommend Stolen By A Billionaire to anyone who likes dark romances, the kidnapping trope, or engaging stories with multiple POVs. I did not know what to expect from Stolen By A Billionaire, to be honest it isn't my typical read, however, I like the author, so I went out on a limb to read it and I wasn't disappointed at all. I'm ready to start reading book 2 because the cliffhanger in this book is intense!
Note: I listened to Stolen By A Billionaire on audiobook. The narrators, Morae Brehon, Leon Nixon and Benjamin Charles, do a pretty good job with the story and it's easy to get lost in the book thanks to them.

Let me say that this story was way more that I thought it was going to be... it was also a bit slow in the beginning but when it started it was a different/sexy waived tale of falling in love. I hope that the husband , backstabbing friend get what's coming as well as I hope Urvi is freed...I just hope she finds her rainbow. I do think that because the men of his family cant find love that they put Ananias is s bad spot...I will be reading book 2.
