الكتاب نافع ومهم وخاصة لطلاب العلم وطلاب المعقول خاصة. مايعيب هذا الكتاب هو كثرة التحشية أو التعليق من جانب المحقق -وفقه الله- فهي أحيانََا لكثرتها تخرج الرسالة تلك عن روحها وتعين على التشتيت وضياع المقصود، ولو اقتصر فقط ببيان ما غمض وشرح ما انغلق لكان ادعى بالحاشية أن تحقق غرضها الذي وضعت لأجله لا أن تعين على فقد الغرض من الرسالة، فأحيانََا قد تصل التحشية لأن تكون أكثر من الرسالة نفسها ولا لأجل أنها تشرح بل فقط تقتصر بذكر نقولات مختلفة من كتب مختلفة لعدة علماء. هذا وقد قيل، فإن الكتاب مفيد جدََا. وأقترح على من أراد التوسع، بالإحالة لشرح الكتاب لنفس المحقق الأستاذ أحمد حسين الأزهري على اليوتيوب في دورتين، كل دورة تحتوي على عشرة مقاطع. ومنه سبحانه يُرجى التوفيق.

The subject of mutalaah is getting ready to take a big turn in getting attention now that Shaikh Munajjim Bashi’s book Fayd al-Haram has been researched at the Harvard Univ.

Fayd al-haram was translated into English by a scholar named Mikkail smith and then Shaikh al-Azhari published Al-Mataali’ fi Adab Al-Mutaali' 2009-2015 between the two books. But Shaikh al-Azhari's book can’t be found online and wasn’t translated into English, two major draw backs.

shaikh smiths’ book has been translated but now that Harvard has collated 4manuscripts and has produced a critical edition, it appears his [i.e., shaikh smiths edition] needs a revision in light of the new findings. The text had variant wordings when the 4manuscripts were examined.

What a shame! The method of mutalaah has been used for hundreds of years to produce scholars, and only two scholars have risen to the occasion in the 21Century to make that knowledge available.

Publishers get your stock houses filled with these two books, now that Harvard has stepped up to the plate this topic is going to really get big. By the way! if you would mind selling me a few copies of both I would greatly appreciate it. beware they are hard to find but in a little time every book seller will be stocking them.

كتاب فريد و جميل يجمع مؤلفات التراث فى آداب المطالعة .. قرأته فى وقت قليل وكان يحتاج أن يقرأ أكثر من مرة حيث انه دسم العبارة وملىء بمصطلحات المناطقة وبتالى سأستمع إلى شرح له قريبا ان شاء الله
أتمنى أن أجد كتاب معاصر يفصل ويشرح خلاصة ما فى هذه المخطوطات التراثية بالطريقة المعاصرة ومعها رسومات توضيحية و تدريبات حتى يتم تقريب هذا العلم إلى الجيل الحالى .
