Loved seeing how Luke was demanding and impulsive, almost to a fault, in the last book. And he doesn’t fail to deliver in Owning Alexa. The body never lies, even when the mind protests.

Returning to Hood River isn’t going to be fun, especially with the impending interviews Alexa has set up with the workers from Gonzalo Construction. Twelve years ago she allowed her ambitions to overshadow her self awareness. She abandoned the love of her life for success. Yet when her dreams come true, she finds herself submitting to a loveless marriage with a monstrous man.

Last saw Luke his sole focus was vengeance. Now, he’s found a new passion - landscaping and hopes to open his own company, that is until he’s thrust into the past with an unexpected encounter with Alexa.

This book was a sliver of time, spanning close to a week. The love affair between Luke and Alexa is quick, hot, and heavy. Then again with that much history can you fault them for the quick reunion?

This book is one of the reasons why I love Ms. Trammell! She writes about real life stuff. Alexa wanted bigger and brighter for her future than what was in her past. Because of this, she turned away from her first love who was going to prison for saving her. She always wanted to be a known journalist and maybe even a wonderful marriage. However, her past may come back to bite her decisions in the ass. Luke, ex-con, only had one love. Going to prison for her made him angry and resentful. His desire to be with Alexa changed to a desire to make her regret her decision 12 years ago. Fate, as it always does, brings them back together but not in the way either one of them planned. Will this be Luke's time for revenge? Or will fate bring about a better future for them both? Ms. Trammell writes about love, however it is not all cute, fuzzy, and never would happen in real life. Love is messy, misunderstood and, at times you get a second chance, but still may deal with the consequences of your choice. Because this is how Ms. Trammell writes, it is very easy for the reader to be engrossed in the story from the beginning. With this author, you know you will have your HEA ending, but twists, turns, and unexpected events. I am hardly disappointed after reading her books and continue to look forward to any new stories she may write.

This is the fourth book in the The Bad Blue Curvy Romances Series. The books are all read as a standalone but Luke is featured in book three so you may want to read that book first. It's been a rocky road for Alexa and Luke who've known each other since childhood. He went to prison for saving her and she went forward to fulfill her dreams of being a journalist. Twelve years later he is out of jail and she's back in town on an assignment. Oh and did I say she was engaged to someone else. This book does have some dark elements. This is a well written book that is very emotional at times and drama filled. Many twists and turns to keep you guessing. But here's a little spoiler there's no cliffhanger and you'll get your HEA. I read an arc via the author and voluntarily chose to review it.

The hero's heart never healed & 12 years later his former girlfriend is in town to write an article on the company he works for. He wants to hate her for leaving without a goodbye, he wants her to hurt as much as he did but the spark had never died. She was due to be married to a wealthy controlling man but reconnecting with her ex she realises how poorly she's being treated by the pompous man & his parents & calls the wedding off. Can the ex con & the journalist find a path to their hea? This was a lovely story & I always enjoy reconnecting with characters featured in previous books in this series although this can read as a standalone. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

A standalone romance between blue-collar workers and the beautiful, feisty, and curvy women of Hood River. Sometimes fate can be so cruel. Almost every girl fantasizes about being with a bad boy.

Luke's new goal was to find a woman to love forever. But he can't seem to get his mind off his ex-girlfriend. How stupid is that, she abandoned me and never looked back. Now I'm staring at her in disbelief.

Alexa dreamed about getting out of the small city and becoming a journalist. Both those dreams came true and now she is getting married. She also finds herself back in her home town for an assignment. Now I'm staring at him in disbelief.

I am leaving this review by choice as I read this as an ARC and want to share. I have read each book thus far in this series and I enjoyed this one the best. I am not sure what was different in this book yet it produced a whole different range of feelings than the previous books. Not a positive or negative concept just interesting to note. I really like Catherine Tramell's writing style and her ability to infuse all kinds of emotion into a quick read. This series has proven a unexpected intensely erotic journey.

One family adopted Luke, Alexa, and Ben, and they all became very close. Luke and Alexa eventually fell for each other. Things happen, and they all went different ways. I found this story very interesting, with twists and turns, it kept me reading throughout the whole book. I loved the way Alexa stands up for herself, and Luke never stops waiting for Alexa's decision. I bought this book on Smashwords, and I am volunteering to leave a review. This is my honest opinion.

OMG, this was a fantastic read!! If you are looking for a read that will grab you and not let go, then I definitely encourage you to get Owning Alexa: The Bad Blue Curvy Romance Book 4 by Catherine Tramell. A long time has passed since Alexa and Luke have seen each other, however, sparks still fly and the attraction is combustible. This was my first read by Catherine Tramell, but now I know I MUST start back at one and read them all! I received this as an ARC for my honest review.

Ben and Luke spent 10 years in prison after defending their friend Alexa. Alexa is now back and a successful broadcaster engaged to a wealthy businessman. When their paths cross sparks reignite between Luke and Alexa and old feelings emerge. I loved this book. It’s good to read Luke’s story but also continue reading how Ben’s is getting on. There are shocking moments but plenty of heat.

Catherine continues this series with book 4. Alexa and Lukes story has an unexpected reunion. Alexa has chosen notoriety over being with Luke. Luke wants revenge. Will they get past their differences? Will they get their HEA? I would recommend this book to anyone over 18 due to steaminess. Book 4 seemed more upbeat, imo. It's Lukes' story. I expected to hate Alexa but really like her character. She is unapologetic in her ambition but fiercely regrets.
