In this book, we get Rax's story and find out more about Lizbeth and Kinto.
Rax is a demigod who has been living and working in the human world for many years. He is in a group that works to keep the presence of supernaturals in this world a secret by cleaning up messes. Rax has worked to refine little devices to make the group's job easier. (One he calls "Mr. Jumper" as it always takes him and anyone he is touching to a specific alley where the group can have a "private" conversation with a miscreant.) The group has been trying to find out who is trafficking in supernaturals but keeps hitting dead ends. When they finally catch a break, it sends Rax back to a place he didn't want to return to - the demi world.
Rax was once known as Raxirim of the Great Tribes, before he had to flee to the human realm. All his old home holds is danger and bad memories. He can't even get there on his own anymore. Which is how he ends up owing a favor to Rufus and thus showing up to "protect" Rufus and Daniel's sister Lizbeth from whatever she and Kinto are up to. Needless to say, Lizbeth doesn't know why he is really there but she doesn't want him following them around.
I am not going to ruin the story for you. It is a good one with lots of action and even some romance (of course). If you have been reading the series you will love this one. If you are just joining in you should go back and start at the beginning, but I think you can follow along without reading the other books first. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Rax, a Demigod, fled to our world to escape his family when they tried to kill him, in the process he lost his dragon leaving a huge hole in his heart, he tells everyone that he cannot feel any feelings. Now, he trades favors, as he patrols. For a while he and his team have been trying to catch all those involved in the trade of selling supernaturals’. One of those favors is for Rufus and in return he wants Rax to find and keep safe his sister Lizbeth.
Lizbeth and her dragon Kinto have their own agenda and having Rax along was not on the cards. Eventually, he persuades them to let him accompany them and they set off into danger, neither trusting the other but having to join forces to survive the threats that keep coming for them. Along the way distrust starts to change to trust but has a few bumps along the way.
As I read each book in this series, I get a better feel for how the Demigods world is: a wonderful, dangers world full of creatures that shouldn’t be but not all they seem. This is such a great adventure and I thoroughly enjoyed going along for the ride. I can’t wait for the next instalment!

What an amazing story with all its twists and turns! I found the author's vivid imagination and imagery throughout the book quite exciting.
Though originally, I wasn't sure if I could fully commit to Rax and Liz's adversarial characters in the story, I became enamored with both as the story progressed. It was interesting to see the unfolding of their backgrounds that caused them to act out in certain situations creating the tension between them and others.
The authors setup of complex characters is one of her strong writing skills. In fact, there are quite a few secondary characters in this book series that are extremely interesting, and I'd like to learn more about them as well.
There is a mystery that runs throughout this book that intrigued me. It will keep the reader enthralled till the last page. Some parts of the story get solved and others are left for the reader to wonder about. This still allows the reader a clean ending and a hope for another book.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "FIRE KING". This story grabs you from beginning to end full of action, intrigue, suspense, steam, magic, angst, loyalties, twist that have glued to your seat until finished reading.

Rax is a demi god whose past is shaded in pain and misery. Stripped of most of his powers, he has escaped to the human world so he could live away from his dying world and remaining demi gods.
Lizbeth and her dragon are on their own mission to save their world. Rax's arrival is not welcome and she would rather he left her alone. Better yet, return to earth and let her get on with her work.
I enjoyed the chemistry and bond between these future mates, their adventures through their devastated world and the strange beings they find along the way.

This is another great fun read in the world of the Demi Gods and This time we get Rax's (Raxirim's) story he had to flee when his family tried to kill him this caused him to loose his dragon Ever since he has been working as a enforcer in the human world determined to keep the existence of supernaturals secret Now he owes a favour and Rufus has called it in Protect his sister Lizbeth and her dragon Kinto but she has pans of her own and they involve the home that Rax left long ago. Can they work together so he can keep them safe and will they succumb to the passion brewing between them you will have to read to see

Rax agrees to do a favor protecting Liz and Kinto but find there is a complication.
Demigod Rax is asked to do a favor escorting and protecting Liz a powerful magical being and her bonded dragon shifter Kinto They both dislike him and try to avoid having him accompany them but he finds there is a complication in that Liz is his fated mate. All he can hope is that they survive the journey and fate works out for him. Unusual paranormal romance entertaining and interestingly combative each trying to outsmart the other.

What an adventure! This sizzling hot paranormal romance has something for everyone from suspense, intrigue, angst, danger, secrets, action and steam, phew lots going on! You have Rax our demigod, sworn off women and only using his power for good and Lizabeth with her dragon shifter crashing into his life and turning it upside down whilst trying to save her world. Their chemistry is off the charts and then there’s the twists and turns you will not see coming as well as betrayal! Will they get their hea?

Another winner!
If you are a lover of paranormal romance, then this is definitely the book for you. With all the twists and turns you want and even a few you didn't think of.
As i expected going by J.S.Striker's other books and series i have read, this is another top quality book to help escape reality for a while. Give it a go you won't regret it.

Fire King by J S Striker is book 4 of her Dragons and Demis series. Rax is asked to help a friend for a favor. Rax can't resist gain favors so he agrees. The journey to fulfill the request is full of danger, twist and turns, unknown creatures, friendships forged and love found. His series is filled with amazing characters and storyline. If you enjoy a great adventure with a paranormal twist then hang on tight was you follow Rax and his team.

I really enjoyed this book. The book was well written and the story and characters were well developed. I loved the mix of old and new characters and watching the character dynamics change and evolve through the book. The story was action packed and full of twists and turns. It has suspense, intrigue, emotion, hot chemistry and romance. I’d highly recommend this read!!

It took me a while to get into the story with no fault from the author but mostly because I am starting with book four. Once I got the hang of it, I found it to be captivating and holding my breath for what will happen next. I have to say that I have a lot of catching to do.

Rax is a very intriguing characters. He and Liz are so perfectly funny and complicated. Their story is just an easy road and some serious blocks. Their journey crosses so many paths and has them interacting with interesting characters from earlier in the series. Very entertaining!
