These stories were all brief and straight to the point, questions were asked but answers/theories were thin on the ground. However, that is the point of this book, the stories were all baffling unsolved mysteries. I was familiar with some of the stories; the Dyatlov Pass tragedy, the disappearance of USS Cyclops, the successful escape from Alcatraz and the mystery hijacker "DB Cooper". These were all cold cases, detailing interesting facts surrounding the mysteries. Theories were put forward but these were brief and sketchy. I would have preferred less stories but more detailed analysis of the possibilities. That said, it was a good absorbing read and will encourage me to delve further into some of these events.
Easy to read, but each story is too short. The book would have been better with less stories and with a little more beef on them. Now, they are hardly more than a wiki search. Ideal to read in between things when you want a break of something else.

Beginning a new series, Unexplained Book 1 has chapter after chapter of intriguing unexplained events. From close encounters with UFOs to unsolved murders, these mysterious true stories will keep you turning the pages.
A great overview of several unexplained instances. Usually I find these kind of book are missing something but this one did a amazing job at a quick overview of the cases. The only thing is I wish they had been more unknown cases.
A great book with some interesting stories I may have to look further into. I'm definitely going to check out the next book and see what that's like. Well done.
I found this book by Robert Keller to be very different then the ones he normally writes. It was well written and I found some stories were really good but I enjoy his other writing and books so much better. Now it is still very well written and so forth and it did have some really interesting and baffling stories so to me it was def worth the price and time! But I can’t wait for his next book!
You know what I like about this book? Each story is short and to the point. When I read The Executioner's Song, I had to learn the entire life story of a camera man and his family. A camera man. Not the subject of the book, not a relative, but a random camera man. This book covered a lot of ground with each chapter being only a few pages long. Perfect for those of us with kids who steadfastly refuse to let us read for more than 5 mins at a time 👌
Chilling real life storytelling in meticulous detail....
Every case describes the agonising effects of real cases that baffled and terrified the victims, their families, friends, plus the investigation teams desperately trying to unlock these mysterious and terrifying events. A brilliant read, in my opinion these true life books are one of the best nonfiction and most intriguing series of books that I have ever had read!! books read!
If you like TC and feel like reading about obscure cases from around the globe you will likely enjoy many of this author's series. (Murder Most Vile is my fav). This book was good too and makes you think as you mull over all these baffling unsolved cases.
It was interesting to read about these unsolved cases that are still unsolved. Some of them, I had heard of from different sources but still found this account to be interesting.
Not bad although I expected a little bit more of the esoteric. Cold cases don't really interest me and that seems to be the main thread. Also, the usual repeats Dyatlov pass incident
